CHAPTER NINETY NINE

Andrew couldn't hold himself back anymore. He couldn't just wait in the apartment without this kind of clarity. Hani Kim also did not give him any news. He has tried to contact and send messages, but there is no response from the lawyer. He doesn't know where the lawyer went to look for Macy. He glanced at the clock on the wall. It was almost ten o'clock and there was still no news.

Now, he had decided. He got up from the couch and went to his room to put on his black jacket, baseball cap and take out his car keys. In his trouser pocket, he made sure to carry his cellphone and wallet. Without turning off the living room light, he immediately left his unit to look for Macy. Even though he didn't know where to go.

In the elevator, he tried to contact the lawyer again. To confirm whether the woman is still looking for Macy or has received further news. But, again, the lawyer seemed to ignore all of his calls.

The writer cursed softly.

When the elevator door opened in the basement parking lot, he rushed to his car. Although this afternoon he told two bodyguards that he had no intention of leaving his apartment unit for a few days, this was an emergency. He was half running towards his car when he got a message. He opened the message. His eyes rounded. It was a message from Macy.

Help me...

Just two short words. But it made his body stiff. Immediately, he dialed Macy's number. This is his chance. Before Macy ignored the call again.

"Pick up... pick up... please pick up the phone, come on, Mace..."

He then immediately opened the car door and climbed inside. He still hoped that Macy would receive his phone call.

Come on, Mace...

"Andrew..."

Andrew's eyes widened. He breathed a sigh of relief. "Macy! Where are you? What happened? I will come to you."

For a moment, he heard nothing but the sound of Macy's breathing. He closed his eyes. He had to calm down. "Mace, listen to me. I will pick you up. But I need to know where you are right now," he said softly. "Honey, please tell me where it is."

"Hotel Cyanne. 1013."

Then the phone was disconnected. He cursed. Because Macy didn't say anything other than the name of the hotel and the room number she was in. He didn't know where the Cyanne hotel was. So, he had to rely on his car's GPS. He starts the car engine and activates GPS mode.

With shaking hands, He typed the name of the hotel that Macy mentioned earlier.

Luckily the hotel was not far from the location of the apartment building. He took a deep breath and put on his seatbelt and drove the car by following the GPS directions. And on the way, He will contact Hani to tell Macy's location.

Hang on, love. I will come for you.

Hani was on her way to the police station to meet her friend when Andrew called her again.

After leaving Ken's apartment building, she immediately contacted her friend at the police station and asked him to trace Macy's cell phone number.

She took a deep breath. She had tried to contact him several times. But Hani ignored it because Ken was there. She didn't want to make Ken think of any suspicions. Heck, she of course noticed the man's reaction when she mentioned Andrew's name. So, to prevent new problems from arising – especially when Macy was still fighting for Marcus' custody – she was forced to ignore the man. But it seemed she couldn't ignore the writer any longer. She then received Andrew's call.
