"Since Marcus is only six years old, usually the law will favor you since you are his mother. But the problem is, Ken's side is claiming that you are neglecting your duties as Marcus' mother, citing some instances that you chose work over your son and you are going home at midnight and leaving Marcus alone in your unit. And they have some evidence for it. Even if Marcus chooses to live with you, the judge's decision won't be favorable for you because the court is after the child's whole well-being. In the end, Marcus had to stay with Ken. If you insist, Ken's lawyer can sue you and it will make it much more difficult for you to meet Marcus.

I'm sorry, Macy. They have solid proof this time. I didn't even expect Ken to take advantage of your situation.

But if the verdict goes to Ken, I think you should persuade him to schedule the meeting outside of court. Because if you follow the verdict, then Marcus can only see you on weekends. What's worse is, you will only get to see your son once a month."

The elevator door opened.

Macy walked out with her head throbbing in pain. Hani made her come just to hear the harsh reality. All those explanations. As if destroying all of her hope.

She walked slowly towards her apartment unit. She just wants to sleep now. She was so tired. Much more tired than when she didn't sleep for nearly thirty hours because of her work.

Heck, Macy didn't come to work for one week, but this one week she felt much more tired than when she worked.

However, it looks like the plan will have to be put on hold for a while. She stopped and looked at the figure of Andrew who was standing leaning against the door of her unit. Oh, Macy didn't want to face the man.

She took a deep breath and walked over to him. She stopped in front of Andrew and looked at the man seriously. "Is there anything I can help you with, Mr. Coangco?" she asked calmly.

The man looked at her thoroughly. "We have to talk."

Macy rubbed her tired face. Can't the man wait until tomorrow? Whatever he wanted to talk about. "Can we talk tomorrow? I just want to sleep now."

Andrew's brow furrowed. He glanced at the clock on his wrist. It's just seven o'clock in the evening. Too early for bedtime. "You want to sleep? Sleeping at times like this? It's even too early to be called a night. What is it that really makes you tired? Oh wait... I can't ask anything related to your personal life, can I?" said Andrew with a cold tone.

Hell... Macy cursed in her heart. Andrew seemed offended by her words last night. Honestly, she didn't even know why she was talking to the man in front of her like that. At that time, she was stressed with several problems. Be it work matters or with her son's custody trial. And Andrew was at the wrong time and place.

"Andrew, listen. I'm sorry if my words offended you. But please, this time... Haha! Can we just talk tomorrow? I will listen to all your complaints. Okay?" She spoke. She didn't want to argue with the man. "Please, step aside. I want to come in."

Andrew smiled. Well... not a friendly smile. "Offended? Regarding what? A word for me not to interfere in your private affairs? Don't worry, Chief Editor Cruz, I can understand. Of course, since the relationship between us is only that of editor and writer, right?"

Macy sighed. She didn't care what the man said. She slightly pushed Andrew's body so she could enter the code number and open the door. But when she was about to enter, Andrew stuck his arm out to block his way.
