Andrew woke up with Macy still asleep in his arms. He smiled slightly and tightened his grip on her. He gently caressed the woman's right arm that was wrapped around his stomach. Before going back to sleep, he removed the IV needle from Macy's hand. Apart from running out of intravenous fluids, she also said that she felt uncomfortable sleeping with intravenous needles. He did it carefully because he didn't want to make her bleed.

Macy slightly squirmed in his arms and instead hid her face in Andrew's neck because the sunlight made her uncomfortable. His smile grew wider. He kissed Macy's forehead softly.

"Good morning..." he said slowly.

Macy just mumbled. But it seemed that the woman had no intention of getting up. Andrew chuckled.

"Hey, are you still sleepy?"

He felt her head nod.

"That's good. So, today you can rest at home. Without thinking about work."

Suddenly, Macy pushed Andrew's body and got off the bed. She swore softly when she saw that it was already seven in the morning. Today, she has several scheduled meetings. Then she rushed to the bathroom.

Andrew, who was still on the bed, could only let out a short breath. Then he got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. At least if Macy insists on going to St. Haven, she has to have breakfast first. He warmed up the leftover porridge he made last night and made scramble eggs. No coffee or tea this morning for Macy. Especially with what happened last night.

Ten minutes later, the woman already looks neat in her semi-casual clothes. One of Andrew's eyebrows rose. He may have seen her with that style, but I don't think so for St. Haven. But maybe because she was late, the woman didn't care about the clothes she had to choose.

"Breakfast first, Mace."

"But I was too late."

Andrew shook his head. He looked at Macy firmly and hinted that she should sit at the dining table.

"Andrew..." Macy tried to persuade the man, but Andrew could be much more assertive. With a deep sigh, Macy then went to sit at the dining table. Andrew then put a bowl of porridge, a plate containing scramble eggs and a glass of water in front of her. He handed the spoon to Macy.

"You don't have to spend it. But at the very least, you should eat half of it." With that, Macy took the spoon. Andrew smiled and kissed her head gently. "While you're having breakfast, I'm going to my unit to change. Don't leave without telling me. I'll take you to St. Havens."

Well, she knew she had no choice but to follow the man's words.

"Don't worry, Macy. I already took him to class."

Macy sighed. All day yesterday she did not contact her son at all. Even Macy only texted the teacher that Marcus would be picked up by Hani, then she struggled with work and ignored that she didn't eat anything. Until she passed out in front of her apartment unit.

"But I still feel worried," she said quietly.

"Marcus can understand, Macy. I told him you were a little busy with work. So, for a few days he will stay at my house. But to make you feel better, after picking him up from school, I'll take him to St. Haven to meet you."

Macy closed her eyes for a moment. "Okay. Thank you, Hani." She then glanced at Andrew who was just busy focusing on driving.

The man smiled and then extended his right hand to her. The editor accepted it and intertwined their fingers. Andrew then pulled her hand so he could kiss his lover's fingers. Macy smiled.

"See you later this afternoon, senior."

Macy then hung up the phone. She was still looking at Andrew very closely.

"Why?" Andrew asked quietly.

She didn't say anything for a while. She breathed slowly. "I know it's too soon. But I want to tell Marcus."

Andrew mumbled, not understanding what Macy meant. He was still focused on the road with one hand on the steering wheel. Macy bit her lip. It seems like she didn't tell Andrew when the man was still driving. Well, fortunately, Andrew's car soon stopped at one of the stop lights.

The man then turned to her. "Tell him about what, Mace?"

"About our relationship."

"Morning ma'am..." Gil's words stopped when he was about to greet his boss because saw the figure of Andrew walking behind the chief editor. "Oh, Writer Coangco?"

Macy turned to the writer. She hissed in annoyance at the author then walked to her room after saying, "Prepare the documents for today's meeting, Gil."

Andrew himself just smiled and patted Gil's arm as he followed into the editor's room and closed the door. Gil just stared at the two who were now in the same room. Gil did not receive any confirmation regarding Writer Coangco's arrival to St. Haven – even news from Agent Lee himself. But seeing the writer who came along with his boss, the two probably meet in the lobby.

Gil then took some documents for today's meeting. In fact, it was almost forty minutes late from the previously promised time. But Macy contacted him and said that she wasn't feeling well last night so she woke up late. Even though Gil said he could reschedule today's meeting, his boss insisted on continuing.

"Liam..." Gil called.

The junior editor immediately approached Gil and accepted the document proffered by his senior. "Take this to the meeting room on the tenth floor and call Demi, tell her that the Chief Editor has arrived."

Liam nodded and immediately rushed to the elevator. Gil then turned to the editor's room. He could see the two of them talking. Even though Gil didn't know what they were talking about, but somehow it felt from their body language, there was something. It feels so intimate, even though there seems to be a distance between the two.

Soon, Macy left her room. But Writer Coangco chose to sit on the sofa instead. Well, it seems like the writer intends to wait for the chief editor.

"Writer Coangco will be waiting for you?" Gil asked.

Macy snorted. "Oh. Let him be. Later when he is bored, he will go alone," she said as she walked towards the elevator.

Gil was a little surprised by his boss' response. It seemed so casual. As if the chief editor was talking about her friend and not the VIP writer of St. Haven. Oh! Well, by contract, the writer is no longer a VIP author at St. Haven after the promotion of the novel was over.

But seeing the man still coming to St. Haven and Macy treating him casually, maybe the two of them are already friends. The reason is, his boss will always be professional to every writer if they meet for work.
