Hani was standing next to Ken. They were in a dark room and were looking at Macy who was giving a statement to the detective in the next room. The two rooms are only separated by a large one-way glass window – a room often used by the police to observe the interrogation process. Macy looked at the big window several times, because she knew that Hani was watching her right now.

The lawyer took a deep breath. She could hear all the question-and-answer process well. Currently the detective is still asking what Macy did last Thursday.

"How did you survive?" she asked quietly.

Ken looked at her intently. But Hani's gaze was still on Macy who was sitting on a chair in the middle of the room. The Detective is still asking questions while noting what the woman is saying.

"Initially, it was because of Macy and for our son's sake. I really love her. But I feel so stupid to believe Katy's words. But then after that, I endured because of fear," Ken admitted.

"What are you afraid of? If you talked to Macy about it or at least came to me, none of this would have happened," said Hani.

If the divorce had never happened, Macy and Andrew probably wouldn't have been involved in this confusing relationship.

Ken took a deep breath. "Do you think I never had any intention of telling Macy? The thought kept coming back and forth to me. My rationality says that Macy will trust me more than Katy. But that woman..."

The lawyer then turned to Ken. "Did she threaten you?"

Ken sighed softly. "Uhm. You could probably say it was a threat. But for Katy..."

His words stopped when the detective started to ask the chronology of when Macy went to meet Katy in her office. Oh, this is a very crucial moment. The statement that Macy gave to Doctor Steven sounded absurd, so Hani hoped that Macy would answer honestly this time.

"I went to see Katy at her office. To confront about what Ken said to me earlier. It might not be a smart move, but at the time I just wanted the truth."

"Then how did Ms. Perez react then?"

"At first she pretended not to know what I meant. So, I forced her to speak. However, her behavior began to change. When she spoke, her words seemed so cold. And the look in her eyes was full of anger. She then asked what Ken told me."

"Then, did you say it?"

"No. Because... Katy looks so scary and my instincts tell me to run away. But she pushed me against the wall. Her hand was around my neck, pressing firmly against my throat. It makes it hard for me to breathe."

Oh, Hani read the overall result of Tony's checkup. There are indeed bruises on Macy's neck.

"Then what did Ms. Perez do next?"

"She said that I was so stupid to believe Ken's words compared to her who was my friend for a long time. I tried to escape because it was getting harder and harder to breathe. Katy noticed it then she took her hand away from me and took the car key from my jacket pocket."

"According to Director Jared Miller's statement, a substitute driver came to St. Haven to deliver the car."

Well, Hani is grateful that Jared is willing to provide information. Although it's not much and probably won't really help much. But even a little information will be very useful.
