Macy smiled faintly as she watched Marcus who was doing his homework on the sofa of her study. Meanwhile, she herself is behind her desk as she reads several reports related to several novels that will be ready to publish. After Andrew left, after they 'hid' in her room for almost forty minutes – just to hug each other and occasionally kiss – she only met Marcus after she calmed down for almost ten minutes after that, Macy busied herself with work that had not been touched for a long time, by her. Every now and then, she answered questions posed by her son related to his homework.
Macy may rarely be involved like this, because Ken spends most of his time with Marcus after their son comes home from school. But there are several occasions she helps in the business of crafts.
"Mommy!" Marcus exclaimed.
Macy took down the documents to see her son. "Yes?"
The boy then got off the couch and walked over to his mother. Macy slightly shifted her chair and smiled when her son was in front of her. Carefully, she lifted Marcus onto her lap. She gently stroked her son's bandaged hand. This weekend, they have to go to the hospital. In addition to the examination of Marcus' hands, she also still needs to undergo an examination for her head.
She kissed her son's head lovingly. "Why? Oh yeah, your homework is done?"
"It was. But mommy needs to check it," Marcus muttered.
"Mommy will check it at home, okay? But say what you want to say," Macy urged.
Marcus slightly looked up to see his mother's face. "Uncle Andrew is fine, isn't he?"
"Um? Uncle Andrew is alright. Why do you ask?"
Marcus then grabbed his mother's fingers. "Just curious. Earlier when Uncle Gil was accompanying me, I overheard Uncle Gil and several other editing uncles talking about Uncle Andrew."
Macy was silent. She rested her chin on her son's head. Oh, she didn't know that Marcus had liked Andrew so much. Her son would only worry about someone other than his family, if he liked that person so much. And although she doesn't want to admit it, Marcus also really likes Katy. But somehow the boy is currently avoiding the woman. He never talked about her again.
"Mommy, why are you silent?" asked Marcus.
Macy mumbled. "Don't worry too much, honey. It's just a small problem. Mommy and other uncles will finish it. After all, Uncle Andrew is fine. Uncle Andrew's cousin has also started to get healthy."
"Is that true?"
"It is. Maybe you can make a get well soon card, the same thing you did for mommy when I was sick. And Uncle Andrew can give the card to his cousin after," Macy suggested.
Marcus looked up again. This time Macy could see a big smile on her son's face. "Then can we go home now? Everything I need is at home."
Macy sighed. That's the problem. There is still some paperwork to be done today. They can't just go home.
"Let's just say, you go to Uncle Liam and tell him that you want to make a greeting card. Uncle Liam will give you the materials you need. Besides, Uncle Liam must have crayons of many colors. More than you have at home," Macy said.
Suddenly Marcus immediately got off her lap and half ran towards the door screaming, "Uncle Liam....!"
It made Macy laugh. Although she felt a little sorry for her subordinates.
