Macy checked some documents that Demi would pick up in half an hour. Since she got to St. Haven until almost twelve o'clock this afternoon, she has not rested any second. The pile of documents and a few final drafts before going into the insert proposal kept her busy. Several editors came in and out of their rooms to submit and pick up drafts.

Macy had to catch up with the last three documents before she had to go pick up Marcus. She was ten minutes late. But she had contacted Marcus' teacher to tell him about it, so Marcus wouldn't think that Macy was ignoring him.

Soon Gil entered the room with two documents that must be signed by Macy. Well, she has been working really hard since she came back to work, even though Director Miller asked her to relax a bit – well, everyone knows it because Director Miller wrote about it in St. Haven's board, so all the employees of course will read it. Regardless of whether or not Director Miller did it on purpose. However, Macy is still the old Macy Cruz.

Gil would be very surprised if his boss followed Director Miller's words – this time. Gil put it in the pile of documents. "Ma'am, don't you have to pick up Marcus?"

Macy very clearly asked Gil or another editor to remind her that she had to go and pick up her son, in case she was too focused on her work. And the worry happened.

She glanced at the watch on her wrist. Oh, she's really late. If she left now, she was sure that she would be stuck in traffic. It takes at least almost an hour from St. Haven to Marcus' school.

"Shit! I will go now. Give these two documents to Demi," she said, handing over the two documents she had finished studying. "Bring me one other document. I'll finish it before four o'clock."

Gil nodded. He then noticed Macy who was getting ready, wearing a jacket. "Are you going back to St. Haven after lunch?"

"Maybe I'll buy a sandwich or something," Macy said as she took her cellphone and car keys.

"I'm leaving, Gil!"

Ken got out of the elevator. He walked down the hall and encountered a sight he had seen many times before. Almost all the editors' desks are filled and look very busy and some of them are in the meeting room with the writers. Ken then glanced at Macy's empty office. He had heard that Macy had returned to work since yesterday – due to the incident that happened to Writer Coangco a few days ago.

"Oh... Writer Reyes, you've come," said Gil who had just returned after a brief meeting with Demi. It was actually just to hand over the two documents that Macy had left with him, but Demi held him back for almost fifteen minutes for a nonsensical conversation.

Ken turned to look at Gil and smiled faintly. "I heard Editor Cruz is back at work."

Gil just mumbled as he walked over to his desk. "That's how it is. The Editor-in-Chief probably thought that she should return immediately after yesterday's incident. She is currently picking up Marcus."

Gil takes his notebook and some documents sent by Tim. "You came alone? Agent Perez really didn't come."

"She said he had something to do. She said she would just ask you to send documents," Ken said.

Yeah, Katy sent her an email last night saying that she couldn't come today and asked Gil to send the documents to be discussed today. Well, today's meeting is just a formality because at the end of this week, Ken Reyes' novel will begin to be distributed. Preparations for the launching event are almost one hundred percent ready. St. Haven just needed to confirm a few small things.

"I've sent it. And..." Gil glanced at some of the meeting rooms that were being used. Looks like it's been quite a while and only Macy's room is empty. And Ken realized the problem. "I don't think we have a choice."

Gil then walked to Macy's room.

"Don't stare at it too long, David Lee."

David glanced at Andrew then snorted. But when he looked at the card in his hand, David smiled again. It felt like he hadn't gotten a card like this in a long time.

When Andrew came and gave the greeting card made by Marcus, David was surprised.

Because he had never met the boy at all – he only saw his photo on Macy's car dashboard. But the little boy gave him a greeting card to get well soon.

Andrew said that Macy came to the hospital with Marcus because he couldn't leave him alone.

Since Andrew was also in the hospital, it made the boy ask who was sick. Finally, Macy needed to explain to Marcus.

Andrew watched David closely. The man may never have shown any interest in children, but Andrew realized that their current age is ideal for getting married and having children. He didn't think that for himself, but maybe it was different with David. And that was one of Andrew's faults.

He never asked David himself.

Wedding. Married life.

"David, have you never thought about marriage?"

His cousin frowned. He looked at Andrew who was standing near the big window. "Marriage? Why are you suddenly asking about that?"

Andrew turned around. He leaned against the window and looked at David. "You don't want to get married?"

"Of course, I want to. But I don't think it's the time yet. But why do you ask? You want to get married? After fifteen years?"

Andrew sighed. His head leaned slightly against the window, and out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the blue sky. "It's not time yet? Then when is the right time? And... Did I ever say that I don't want to get married?"

"Certainly not. But with what happened to Nina... I was just thinking. But seriously, Andrew. Why are you suddenly asking about marriage? You want to get married? With Macy?"

Andrew then went to bed. David was sitting back and watching the writer until the man sat at the end of the bed. He turned to David.

"I told her I was taking her to meet my parents in Seattle. And maybe meet Nina too," Andrew muttered.

David's eyebrows rose. Oh, Andrew already thought about it. He didn't think that Andrew was so serious with Macy. Maybe it's because in the twelve years since he met his cousin, not once has he seen Andrew serious about a relationship. That's because Andrew has never had a relationship after Nina's death.

Andrew continued. "I didn't mention marriage to her. It's just that it just popped up. You think if I ask her to marry me, she will agree?"

David sighed. Andrew sometimes always thinks impulsively.

"I don't think marriage is bad. But isn't it too fast? You guys just went through this relationship and Macy just got divorced. Besides, her focus right now is on her son, right? If you want to take her to Seattle, that's great. However, I think you need to think more carefully about marriage," said David.

"Why?" Andrew of course wants to get married. But David's final words, it made him ask.

"Rather than questioning whether she will accept your proposal. Think first, is it really the marriage you want from your current relationship?"
