Andrew watched doctor Tony who was placing an IV on Macy's hand. After laying the woman on the bed, he immediately contacted the doctor. He was lucky enough before that the doctor gave him his contact number in case something happened. And while waiting for the doctor, he took off his shoes and changed Macy's clothes into something more comfortable.

About an hour later, the doctor came and immediately checked Macy's condition. But the man didn't say anything to him even though he tried to ask. After hanging the infusion bag using the coat hanger that he found in the storage room, he again asked doctor Tony.

"How is he?" Andrew asked for the umpteenth time.

Tony looked at him and smiled slightly. "She's alright. She's just tired. Uhm... do you know what was her schedule today?"

"She had said that she would go to the police station. But for the rest, I think she's just in St. Haven. Are you sure she's okay? It's been over an hour but she still hasn't woken up."

Tony patted his shoulder gently. "I think her body knows exactly what she needs right now. Enough rest. So just let her figure it out on her own. But don't worry it's not like what happened last week."

Andrew then went to sit on the edge of the bed, grabbed Macy's hand and held it tightly. Tony took a deep breath and walked out of the room. He slowly closed the door and took out his phone.

Tony walked over to the veranda and opened the big window. "Hani, did you meet Macy today at the police station?"

"Uhm, yeah I did. I picked her up at St. Haven. The Detective says that she must come to give a complete statement. The report from Doctor Steven didn't help much because they thought Macy was still covering things up while they were talking."

Tony massaged his temples. "I see. Did she tell the full chronology?"

"That's how it is. But why did you call me and ask about her all of a sudden?"

"Andrew Coangco contacted me. Macy passed out in front of her apartment unit and the neighbors found her. I've checked her and given an IV. But she is still not awake," said Tony. He heard the lawyer's cursing. "Hani, did Macy eat something today?"

"Shit! After the police station, I took her to lunch. But she didn't touch her food at all. I don't think she's eaten anything all day."

Tony nodded. "That makes sense regarding her fainting. But I'm worried about her mental state. Will Steven contact you again?"

"Not yet. Do you think Macy needs to see a psychiatrist? I mean, if you listened to what she had to say to the Detective today... oh my God. It's getting worse. If she needs psychiatry, getting Marcus' custody will be even more difficult for her."

Tony could understand Hani's concern. But they can't make assumptions on their own. This is Steven's expertise. However, whatever results Steven reports will be taken into consideration by the judge. Macy might be considered unfit to take care of her son.

Ah... speaking of the boy.

"Is Marcus with his father?" Tony asked.

"No. He's with me right now. Yesterday Ken took him to Macy's apartment. But after what happened at the police station, I took the initiative to take him to my house. And the decision I made turns out right."

Tony mumbled. He then turned and looked at Macy's room door. "That's good. You might have to keep him under your care for a few days. I will contact Steven so that he can do the examination faster."

"Keep telling me about her condition. Tomorrow after dropping Marcus off at school, I'm going to meet and see her. That's if she wakes up and insists on going to work."

"I don't think Andrew Coangco will allow it. Alright, I'll get back to you again."

Then Tony hung up the phone. He will send a message to Steven so he can come and do some checks on Macy. But for now, the woman had to eat something.

Tony then went to Macy's room again.

"You want me to come?"

Andrew shook his head. But then he remembered that this was a telephone line. "No. You just rest. The doctor said that Macy was just tired. Nothing so serious."

"Nothing serious, and yet you called me. It's already... it's almost twelve o'clock."

Andrew turned off the stove and took the bowl on the shelf. Half an hour ago, he called David while making porridge for Macy. Doctor Tony said that he might have to prepare some food if the woman wakes up. There weren't many ingredients in the fridge, so he just made simple porridge.

"I'm just a little bored, Dave. Besides, you cannot pick up the phone from me," said Andrew as he poured a little into the bowl. The rest he will put in an airtight container to store in the refrigerator when it has cooled.

"As if. But seriously, Andrew. If Macy is still unconscious, you can rest for a while."

"I know. Just make porridge and then lie down on the sofa." Andrew then put the bowl of porridge on the counter table and looked for food cover. "Okay, I hang up the phone, okay?"

"Uhm... even if you're worried, you should at least get some sleep. Maybe Macy will wake up tomorrow morning. It doesn't feel good for you to stay up all night too. Moreover, you did it when she slept for thirty hours. I don't want Doctor Tony to force you to sleep again, Andrew."

"Okay, I'll sleep after this. Don't worry too much, I'm fine. Good night, Dave."

Then Andrew removed the air pods from his ears and put them near the phone. After covering the bowl with the food cover, he turned off the center light and returned to Macy's room. The woman was still unconscious, well or maybe she had fallen asleep by now.

He took a deep breath and sat back down on the edge of the bed. He gently stroked Macy's hair. Compared to fainting, she did look like she was sleeping. And her pale face began to recover. It seems that the infusion and medicine given by doctor Tony has a little effect.

"You always make me worry," he mumbled. "Actually, how old are you right now? I don't think I've ever seen a thirty-three-year-old woman act like a child. You should know your priorities, Mace. Your job may be important, but your health is even more important. How can you set a good example for Marcus?"

Oh, it's a waste of time for Andrew to nag at Macy like this because the woman can't hear him. Then he glanced at a white envelope he was carrying on the other side of the bed. He went to pick it up and put it in Macy's nightstand drawer. He sat back down next to the woman.

"Would you notice it if I put it in there?"
