the group of teenagers gathers in front of Kourtney's house, all chatting amongst themselves as EJ and Ricky pack the bags into the back of the minivan.

"i'm so excited for this trip! i'm so glad that EJ's parents are letting us use their beach house for the week!" Gina says as she bounces on her heels a little bit.

"okay guys! let's get on the road! it's a long trip!" EJ yells as he gets the keys from the girls mother, hopping into the drivers seat.

Gina hops into the passenger seat, wanting to sit next to her boyfriend. Kourtney, Seb and Carlos pile into the middle row, Ricky and Nini claiming the back row ahead of time. Ashlyn and Red were driving up separately because his CPAP machine would've taken up too much space in the van.

everybody is buzzing with excitement. they were excited to spend a full week all together with no parents.

music is blasting from the radio as they all excitedly chat about their week ahead of them. Nini and Kourtney are talking over the seats, Ricky texting Red to make sure they're on the road as well.

it's complete and utter chaos but that's what happens when you put a bunch of theatre kids in a van together.

they're on the road for a while, stopping for some food and bathroom breaks before getting back into the van. it's getting late but EJ is adamant that he can get them there in under two hours.

mostly everybody (except EJ) have fallen asleep, the excitement coming to a stop. music still plays, mixing with the wind coming in from the open window on the drivers side, keeping EJ awake.

Ricky and Nini are curled up in the very back seat. they've somehow tangled their legs together, managing to still keep their seatbelts on. they're wrapped tightly around each other, Nini's face presses into his neck. she's not asleep but judging by the soft snores coming from her boyfriend, he is.

an idea pops into her head, a risky one at that. slowly, she lifts her head and looks towards the front of the van, seeing all the passengers asleep and EJ focused on the road.

at least he's glad his and Carlos' room isn't next to theirs.
