a/n: this is part two to my last chapter "always by your side" since i was thinking about doing a part two and then @biggeometry commented saying they wanted a second part so, this is for you!! these are some snippets of Nini's daughter with Ricky in her life!! enjoy!!

Nini was ready to meet her baby girl. she had struggled through her last few months of her pregnancy. Ricky was amazing, he was with Nini almost every night to help take care of her.

she had gone into labor a few days before her due date. school was already in summer break so she had just been sitting at home in the air conditioning with Ricky. she felt some contractions and called her doctor, he told her it was time to come in. Ricky drove her to the hospital and stayed with her the whole time.

Ricky and Dana were the only two who stayed in the room with Nini as she gave birth. she was in so much pain, Ricky actually shed a few tears as he watched the girl he loved in so much pain. he stood by her head, held her hand, and whispered to her the entire time. when the baby was finally born, Ricky got to cut the cord.

Amelia Grace Salazar-Roberts was the light of everyone's life.

Ricky immediately fell in love with his girlfriends daughter. he was the first one to hold her after she was born, Nini was elated that he was so happy. she was so afraid that he was going to get scared and run away as soon as she was born. he didn't run and he didn't plan on it.

Nini often caught him talking to Amelia at night like he used to when she was pregnant. it was the cutest thing ever. he was so bonded with her. he treated her like his own.

adjusting to home life with a newborn baby at 17 was hard for Nini. luckily, her moms and Ricky were there to help her. Ricky had just about moved into her bedroom, he was there every night to help her take care of the baby.

Nini was curled up in bed with Ricky, she hadn't been sleeping well and was hoping that she could finally get a good nights rest tonight. she murmured as Ricky stroked her hair lazily in his sleep. she groaned when she heard the baby monitor alert her of her daughters wailing. Nini moved to get up, Ricky pushing her back into the bed.

"don't worry, i got her."

Nini smiled slightly as she watched her boyfriend head for the nursery across the hall. she heard her baby stop crying as Ricky picked her up.

Ricky held the little girl in his arms, the baby immediately grabbing onto his shirt, "it's okay Mia, i got you. everything is okay."

Nini watched from the doorway as her boyfriend rocked the baby back to sleep. he was facing away from her, staring out the window as he sang quietly to the little girl. Nini smiled as she recognized the song, he was singing 'Breaking Free' to her baby girl.

Amelia cooed as Ricky sang to her. she still recognized his voice. it was something Ricky was so proud of. he was glad that she remembered his voice, every time he spoke the little girl watched him with wide eyes.

Nini couldn't believe how good he was with her. he was so willing to get up with her in the middle of the night, feed her, change her diapers, he was ready for everything. sometimes Nini even wondered if Ricky was more anxious about everything than she was. every time they left the house, Ricky checked all the bags over three times to make sure they had everything. he drove so slow when Amelia was in the car, always muttering something about having precious cargo aboard.

Ricky placed the soothed baby into the crib and sighed as he stroked her little cheek with his finger. he flinched a little when Nini wrapped her arms around his waist. the couple stared down at the sleeping baby for a moment.
