Fred x Reader I thought of.
It's not sad, so don't worry. It's like a Fred x Reader version of Moving, the Wasabi x Reader I wrote earlier. Kind of.  ^-^

Also, I apologize for the slowing of updates! I have been studying like crazy for five graduation tests that I'll be taking next week, as well as planning out my next Disney World vacation. Obviously, planning for vacation is much more fun.

Sorry! I'll try to get more posts and requests in.

(Unedited).

Your phone rings as you're watching TV. You mute the television and pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey," Fred answers.

You smile. "Hey, Freddie. What's up?"

"Well, my parents called. They want me to fly out to the family island so we can meet up for a vacation."

"That's great! When do you leave?"

"Friday," He says.

"That sounds fun- wait, our date is Saturday." Fred had planned a date to celebrate his and your one year anniversary. Dinner, newest super hero movie in theaters, and a night of videogames.

"I know. I'm sorry. I really wanted to go on our date. . . but my parents. . ."

"No, no. It's totally fine! I totally get it. Don't worry, Freddie. We'll reschedule. No big deal."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. You didn't think I'd force you to stay home from your vacation, did you?" You laugh.

"Well. . . you are pretty crazy."

"Hey! You're not any better!"

Fred laughs. "I know, I know. Oh. Um, also-- I won't be back for a while."

"How long is a while?" You ask softly, almost afraid of the answer.

"A month. Or two. Or three."

"Three?" You gasp. "Are you sure this is a vacation that you're on?"

"Yeah, well, my Dad wants my help on some comic book stuff. And the semester is already over."

You sigh.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yeah, I just. . . I'll miss you, Freddie."

"___, you have no idea how much I'll miss you."

That Friday, you go to the airport to see Fred one more time. He holds your hand, dragging his suitcase behind him.

"Let me guess," You say lightly. "That is full of comic books." You nod towards his suitcase.

"Well, I have clothes in there. Like, maybe one outfit. Two. I don't know. Plus these!" He gestures to the clothes he's wearing. "Besides, I haven't done laundry in six months."

"Gross," You say.

"It's not gross," He objects. "It's called recycling. It's good for the environment."

"It's gross," You insist. "But, awesome, I guess. In a sort of sick, weird way."

Fred shrugs. "Whatever."

Fred's flight is called. He frowns. His parents pat his shoulder and say, "We'll give you two a minute. Meet you on the plane."

Fred nods and then turns to you.

"Have fun. Um, not too much fun, though, because you're leaving me back here." You smile.

"I promise not to have too much fun. I wish you could come. I really wish you could."

"Maybe one day," You say. Fred nods. They call for his flight again. "You should go."

Fred doesn't hesitate to pull you into his arms. His lips find yours immediately. You cling to him, dreading the moment when you have to let go. You reluctantly pull away.

"I love you," He says.

"And I love you." You reach up and kiss him once more. "Now go on, you dork. Go write comic books for three months straight."

Fred laughs. "I plan too." He walks off.

Just before you're out of view, he turns and says over the crowd, "I'll miss you!"

You smile and wave. "I'll miss you, too!"
