(36): Wedding Day (With Tadashi!)

Wedding Tadashi x Reader requested by nerdfighter-dftba. This one shot is pretty long, and I really loved writing this. I hope you enjoy it!

--Six months earlier--
Tadashi held both of your hands and stared into your eyes. He knew that you were the one. You had to be. The two of you had been friends for so long. . . and the friendship had grown into something more just three years ago. You smiled at him and he opened his mouth to speak.
"___. . ." He says softly. "I have never loved anyone as much as I love you. You bring me endless amounts of happiness each day. I never thought that I would meet someone as amazing as you. . . and I hope you feel the same. ___ ___." Tadashi drops down on one knee and pulls out a black box made of velvet. ". . . will you marry me?"
You gasp. Tadashi's face glows with happiness and anticipation. "Yes," You whisper. Tadashi slides the diamond ring on your finger and you pull him up. "Tadashi, I love you."

--Present Day--

"Alright, sweetie!" Cass says, fixing your dress. You stare at the long white silk that touches the floor. It shakes slightly with your nervous body. "That's good. Oh, ___, you look absolutely gorgeous!"

"T-thank you," You breathe.

"Calm down before you throw up or faint." Cass steadies you and holds your hands tightly.

"Kinda think that I'm going to be doing both."

"How is she?" Someone asks from the doorway. Honey Lemon stands with Go Go. It was weird seeing Go Go in a dress, but here she was. She wore a short black dress and had her hair in it's normal style. Honey Lemon wore your favorite color, a long dress that touched the ground. Her hair was curled, and she clutched two bouquets of flowers. Yours and hers. She was your maid of honor because of her help with the wedding. You hardly had to plan any of it. "Oh, you look beautiful!"

"I do?" You ask.

"She's nervous," Cass says.

"Oh, don't be nervous!" Honey says. "Tell her, Go Go!"

"Woman up," Go Go says, smiling. You return the smile. "Wait until you see Tadashi. I have never seen anyone so happy."

You suddenly felt better. Tadashi was here. You were going to marry him today. "Alright," You say. "Let's do this."

Honey Lemon squeals with excitement and kisses your cheek.

"Where's Hiro?" Cass asks.

"Here," He says. Hiro, Tadashi's best man, was dressed in a black tuxedo. You giggle at the sight. "Shut up."

"Hiro, you look so handsome!" Honey Lemon says, hooking her arm around his. She still towered over him, but it was fine.

"Alright guys, let's do this!" Go Go leaves with Cass and Honey Lemon and Hiro walk out to the isle.

"Thirty seconds after we start walking, got it?" She whispers.

"Yeah," You whisper back.

Honey smiles and then you're left alone.
20 seconds.  .  .

Could you do this? What if you tripped on the way down the isle? What if you messed up your lines? What if Tadashi changes his mind?
10 seconds. . .

You swallow and tighten your grip on the bouquet of flowers. Everything will be fine. You take a deep breath as you hear everyone stand.
Here we go . . .

You begin to walk down the isle. So far so good. Tadashi stands, beaming at the sight of you. Hiro smiles, Honey and Cass dab the corners of their eyes with a tissue. Slowly, you make it to Tadashi. Honey takes your flowers and you take Tadashi's hands.

"You are so beautiful," He whispers. You smile. All of the anxiety you had about this day goes away. This was perfect. Nothing could beat this, ever.

The vows were traditional. Tadashi said his so proudly, with so much love that it made you cry. When you said yours they sounded strained because of the tears, but flowed out easily.

Finally, you heard the simple, "You may now kiss the bride."

Tadashi smiles, places one hand on your waist and the other on your cheek, and leans down. You jump up and down excitedly, grabbing his shoulders and pressing your lips to his. Everyone begins cheering and clapping.

"That's my family!" Aunt Cass shouts. "That's my nephew and niece-in-law!"

"Cass, is that even a thing?" Wasabi asks.

"Sure it is," She says, waving Wasabi away.

Tadashi pulls away, takes your hand, and together the two of you run down the isle. As soon as you make it outside, he lifts you by your waist and spins you around.

He sets you down and wraps his arm around your waist. "I love you. You have no idea how much I love you."

You laugh and kiss him. "I think I do."

Tadashi smiles. Soon after, Honey Lemon, Hiro, Cass, Go Go, Fred, and Wasabi walk out. They all cheer and high five Tadashi, and hug you.

"Wedding selfie!" Honey Lemon says. Tadashi grabs your waist and draga you beside him. Everyone else surrounds the two of you. "Everybody say, 'Hamada!'" Just before the picture is taken, Tadashi kisses you.

When he pulls away, Cass throws her arms around both of you. "Aw! I'm so proud of you!"

"Come on Cass," Honey Lemon says, grabbing Cass's arm. "We still have the party and we need to be sure everything is perfect."

"Oh, of course!" Cass waves the friends forward and leaves you alone with Tadashi.

"Alright, Mrs. ___ Hamada," Tadashi says, kissing your forehead. "Guess we should move before the crowd comes out."

"Alright," you say grinning.

Outside, on the side of the church the two of you were married at, there was a gazebo, a bright white color with bright yellow and pink flowers everywhere. He leads you up the stairs and takes your hand.

"Maybe we should practice our first dance," He says, lifting your hand above your head and spinning you around in a slow circle.

You laugh. "Isn't this cheating?"

"No," Tadashi says, touching your waist and moving slowly side to side. "It's practice."

You kiss him. "I love you, Tadashi Hamada."

"I love you too, ___ Hamada."

"I've got to admit," You say. "I like the sound of that." Tadashi laughs and kisses you before taking your hand and spinning you again.
