(9): Camping (With Hiro!)

Hiro x Reader requested by Derpy0Hero. I tried my best. I've only gone camping once in my life and I was like, I dont know, five I think. So this could not be accurate but I don't know. Enjoy anyways. (:

"Let's go!" Fred groans as everyone piles into Wasabi's car. You slide in the backseat with Hiro, your best friend. Fred and Honey Lemon climb in behind you and Go Go sits in the passenger seat, shoving another piece of bubblegum in her mouth. "Come on guys!"

"Alright, alright, we're going," Wasabi says, starting the car. He begins to drive down the road and you, Fred, and Hiro cheer. Hiro sticks his head out the window and waves at Cass, who holds Mochi and stands in the parking lot.

"See you Monday!" He says. He sits back in and looks at you, grinning.

As the group of friends drive over the San Fransokyo bridge and onto another highway, Fred cheers. "Seven superheroes going on a camping trip!"

"We're nerds," Wasabi sighs.

"Uh, nerds who have decided to go camping. You don't see that everyday, do you?" Fred asks, leaning over your seat.

"No," Wasabi says.

"That's because we're superheroes," Fred says. He leans back and takes out a comic book.

Hiro laughs and leans back, staring at you as you look out the open window. The orange sunlight brightens up the strands of (h/c) hair as it blows around you. He wanted to tell you how he felt about you, but couldn't do it. What if you didn't feel the same way? What if your friendship ended?

"Dude," Fred whispers in Hiro's ear. "Stop staring like a creeper."

Hiro blushes and looks away, leaning his head against his window. Honey Lemon giggles and says, "Just tell her, Hiro."

Hiro just sighs. Could he? He didn't know.

After settling into the cabin at the camground, Fred yawns. "Well, that was great," He says. "Now if you'll excuse me." He grabs another comic and lays across the biggest bed. Honey and Go Go decide to go for a walk and Wasabi decides to join them. You're left alone with Hiro, and the two of you sit on the dock over the lake.

"It's beautiful," You say, staring at the setting sun.

Hiro nods, but he's looking at you again.

You notice and shake your head. "You've been quiet, Hiro. What's up?"

"Nothing," He says.

"Hiro, I know you. You're only quiet when something's wrong. What is it?" You reach over to take his hand and he smiles.

"Nothing," He reassures you. You sigh and lean your head against his shoulder. The moon eventually comes out and the sky goes dark. You shiver as the air grows chilly. "Cold?" He asks and you nod, crossing your arms. "Here." He takes off his hoodie and you pull it on.

"Now you'll be cold," you complain as you lean against Hiro again.

"I'll be alright," He says.

The two of you sigh at the same time and look down, thinking the same thing: I've gotta say it.

"Hiro-"

"___-," both of you say at the same time. You laugh and shove his shoulder playfully. "Go ahead," Hiro says.

You take a deep breath. "Okay. Hiro, I-I like you, okay?"

"You... Like me," Hiro says.

"Ugh, that sounds stupid. Okay, I don't know if this is how you tell someone. Hiro, I love you. There. That's it." Hiro's silent for a minute and you move away. "I'm sorry. I'll just... Go." You stand and begin to walk away. Hiro reaches up and grabs your hand.

"No, no!" He says, grinning. "I feel the same way!" He stands up and takes both of your hands, looking down at you. "I feel the same way," He repeats and you smile. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to say it."

You wrap your arms around his neck and he puts his hands on your waist. He leans down and presses his forehead against yours. "I love you," You say quietly.

"I love you too," He says, laughing softly.

You grin and close your eyes before you quickly kiss him. Hiro's eyes widen in shock and you pull away with a smirk. "Whoa," he whispers, and you blush. He leans down to kiss you again, loving the feeling of your lips against his own and your fingers tangling in his hair.

"Hey, dorks!" Go Go shouts from the front porch of the cabin. "You want s'mores or not?"

Honey Lemon grins from beside Go Go and takes a picture of you and Hiro holding each other close. Fred nods in approval and Wasabi shakes his head, smiling as he throws more wood in the fire.
