(69): Tea (Part Two)

Thank you all for your get better wishes and prayers. I really appreciate the messages and comments you sent me. :) I'm okay. & my break is over-- now I'll be posting about five or so one shots today to make up for my absence.
Tea (part two) as requested!~

Tadashi brings your tea and sits across from you. You smile. "So- uh, do you go to school?"

"Oh. Yeah, I go to San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. I'm a robotics student."

"Oh, nice."

"What about you?" He asks.

"I just moved here."

"Ah. Well, welcome to the city. I hope you'll like it here." Tadashi smiles.

"I'm sure I will," You say.

"I can give you a tour, if you'd like," He suggests.

"Really? That'd be wonderful."

"Great. Let's go."

You nod and stand up. Hiro walks up to Tadashi. "Whoa, where are you going?"

"Oh. I'm going to show ___ here around."

"But it's movie night," He says.

"I know. I'll just be a little late today, okay?"

Hiro sighs. "Okay."

"Later, little bro," Tadashi says, ruffling Hiro's hair. Hiro laughs and shoves him away.

"Get out of here, weirdo," He mutters. You smile.

"Now where would you like to go?" Tadashi asks.

"Oh, um. Just. . . walking around is fine."

"Alright. So, what do you like to do?" He asks.

"Uh- (fav_hobby), is about it, I guess."

Tadashi smiles. "That's cool."

"No it's not. You don't have to lie and pretend that I'm interesting."

"I'm not pretending," Tadashi says. "I do find you interesting."

You blush. "Oh. Thank you, I guess."

Tadashi laughs. "You're welcome."

"Um, what do you like to invent?"

"Ah. Well, I've always wanted to help people. Always. I'm thinking of becoming a doctor- a doctor who can invent new technology and a way to cure terminal diseases. . . "

You smile. "You want to be a hero?"

"I want people to remember me, not because I'm smart, but because I helped people."

"That's wonderful," You say.

"I'm glad you think so. You know, I'm very glad that I ran into you, ___. Not because I had the chance to make mess all over a customer who happened to be extremely gorgeous, but because I have finally found someone who listens."

"Your brother doesn't listen?" You ask, but all you can think of is 'he called me gorgeous' .

"Of course not. He's so focused on bot fighting, which is illegal, so he doesn't care about me. He's convinced that I go to a nerd school."

"Um, Tadashi?"

"Hm?" He looks down at you.

"Um, if you go to a school for science and spend your days inventing, then you are a nerd. No offense. I think nerds are cute."

"So you think I'm cute?" Tadashi asks, raising his eyebrows.

"Um, yes," You say, blushing madly.

"Wonderful." He hands you a folded napkin from the cafe. "I wrote this down when I went to get you more tea. Feel free to call me at anytime." You unfold the napkin and smile at the stains of tea.

"Thank you," You say.

"Thank you." Tadashi smiles. You laugh. "Sorry to have to cut this tour short, but I have action movies to watch with my brother."

"It's fine. I'll, uh, call you."

"Tomorrow," Tadashi says.

"Tomorrow," You say with a smile. You reach up and kiss Tadashi's cheek quickly, leaving him standing still on the sidewalk.
