Younger Sibling Reader x Tadashi x Hiro as requested. c: Enjoy. Oh-- Hiro's your twin here. (Unedited).

It's a Friday night and you and your brothers are home with your babysitter. Your parents decided to go out on a date. The babysitter is sitting on the couch, a magazine on her lap. Tadashi watches TV and is sitting by the babysitter. You are with your twin, Hiro, sitting on the floor and playing with toy robots.

"Alright, kiddos," The babysitter says. "Time for bed."

"Not tired," Hiro says.

"Not tired, huh?" The babysitter smiles.

Hiro shakes his head. "Nope."

"Well, your parents want you in bed anyways."

Hiro pouts. Tadashi leads his little brother and sister into their bedroom. He goes to turn off the light.

"'Dashi, wait!" You say.

"What?" He asks.

"She's gonna read us a story."

Tadashi nods. "Okay. Night."

"Night, 'Dashi," You and Hiro call.

The babysitter comes in and reads the two of you a story. Afterwards, she tucks you into bed. She kisses your forehead and strokes Hiro's thick black hair before turning the light off and shutting the door. You watch the star shaped nightlight from across the room until you fall asleep.

An hour later, Tadashi is still awake. He holds a flashlight and reads a book under his covers. He jumps a little at the sudden noise of the phone ringing. He listens closely.

"Hello? Yes, this is her. Who is this?" The babysitter pauses. "Oh. Yes. What- oh. Oh no. No, no, no. . .  the kids? Yeah, they're in bed. . . oh God, what do I do? Yes. Okay. Yes. I'm so sorry. . . I. . .  okay. I'll see you soon then." Tadashi listens intently. What's going on? He slowly gets out of bed. He peers through the crack of the door. His mom always left it open a little for Tadashi. The babysitter is leaning against the doorway of the living room, phone in hand. One hand covers her mouth. He hears sniffling sounds.

What happened?

Fifteen minutes later, there's a knock on the door. Tadashi holds his breath and backs up towards his bed. He didn't want his dad to see him up.

"What happened?" The babysitter asks.

"Car accident," A voice says sadly.

Tadashi walks back to the door and sees his Aunt Cass. He slowly pulls open the door. "Aunt Cass?" He asks quietly, rubbing his eyes at the sudden light. "Where's Mama and Dad?"

Tears fill her eyes. "Oh, sweetie." She hugs him. "Oh baby, I'm so sorry."

"What happened, Aunt Cass?" He asks.

Cass pulls away and brushes his hair with her fingers. "They're gone."

"Gone?"

"There was a car accident. . . do you understand, sweetie?"

Tadashi nods. He did understand. His parents were dead. They're not coming back. Cass kisses his forehead. "I have to make arrangements." Cass picks up the phone and pulls out the adress book that Tadashi's mom always left beside the cookbooks in the kitchen.

Tadashi walks into your room. He sits on the edge of your bed and touches your arm. You open your eyes. "What's the matter, 'Dashi?"

Tadashi stares at you, his little sister. You wouldn't understand.

"It's still dark out, 'Dashi."

Tadashi blinks. "I know."

Aunt Cass walks in. "Come on, kiddos." She forces a smile. "You're gonna stay with Aunt Cass for a while, okay?"

You grab your favorite stuffed animal. Hiro grabs his robot and yawns. "What're we doin', Aunt Cass?"

"You're gonna stay with me," She says, grabbing a backpack from the closet. She shoves a few outfits in the bag for each of your brothers. "Tadashi, sweetie, get another bag for your sister." Tadashi obeys. He hands Cass a bag and she throws random outfits in the bag.

"Aunt Cass, where's Mommy and Daddy?" You ask, pulling your shoes on.

Cass remains silent.

"Aunt Cass?"

Aunt Cass smiles softly. "C'mon, kiddos."

~

A few days later, you're sitting in the car. Hiro sits on your left side, Tadashi on your right. You're dressed in a knee length black dress and black leggings. Your hair is pulled into a high ponytail. You didn't like it. Your mom always braided your hair. Cass never did.

You'd been staying with her for a while. You still weren't sure what happened to your parents. They were gone. You just wanted to know when they were going to come back. Hiro holds your hand as your family of four walk down the wet grass. A group of people huddle around, all clutching tissues, all wearing black. Pictures of your mom and dad sit on two closed boxes. Hiro tugs on Tadashi's sleeve.

"'Dashi," He whispers. Tadashi's eyes are wide on the boxes.

"What, Hiro?"

"Where are Mommy and Daddy?" He asks.

"They're dead," He states.

You blink. "Mommy and Daddy are dead?"

Tadashi nods and brushes a tear off of his cheek. You start to cry. Aunt Cass leans down and scoops you up, whispering soothing things in your ear. Hiro wraps his small arms around Cass's leg. Tadashi places one hand on his brother's shoulder.

This isn't fair. Tadashi understands. You don't. Hiro doesn't. You're too young. Tadashi didn't know what to do. How does someone take the place of two people as amazing and loving as your parents?

He knew the answer. He couldn't. But he swore that he would always be there to protect you and Hiro. Always.
