Engagement Reader x Tadashi as requested by many of you. I'd be more than happy to write an engagement chapter for each character. Enjoy. (Unedited).
Tadashi waits by the counter in Lucky Cat Cafe, his brother by his side. Tadashi glances through the window every few seconds. He was looking for you. You're supposed to meet him for a quick lunch and an afternoon of reading here in the cafe.
"Nervous, brother?" Hiro asks, elbowing Tadashi. Tadashi looked down at him. Hiro raised his eyebrows. It's obvious to Tadashi that he's referring to the question he wants to ask you later.
"No, I'm not nervous," Tadashi answers. It's true.
"No. . . second thoughts?" Hiro asks, watching you walk by the cafe.
"No," Tadashi says quietly as you open the door of the cafe. "I've never been so sure of something in my life."
You see Tadashi and smile. Tadashi returns a smile and walks to meet you by the doors.
"Well, alright," Hiro sighs. He grabs his bot off of the counter and walks upstairs.
Tadashi touches your waist. "Hello, beautiful," He mutters.
You smile, grabbing a fistful of his cardigan. You hum a greeting as you reach up to kiss him. He kisses back softly.
Tadashi takes your hand and leads you to a table. "You look lovely in (f/c)."
You glance down at your outfit: a knee length dress that's a (light/dark) shade of (f/c). Black flats compliment the color nicely. "Thank you, Tadashi." You kiss his cheek. Tadashi pulls a chair out for you. You take a seat. "Such a gentleman today," You observe with a light laugh.
"Anything for my beautiful girlfriend. I'll go get our lunch." Tadashi walks to the counter and brings back a tray with two (favorite_whatever) sandwiches and two glasses of (favorite_drink).
"Looks delicious. Thank you, Tadashi."
"You're very welcome."
You smile and pull out (favorite book). You open it up to the page you were on and fall into the story, occasionally reaching over to grab your drink or sandwich. Tadashi reads his own book.
After the two of you have finished lunch, Tadashi reaches for your hand from across the table. You take his and smile. The two of you read in silence for a while. Then, Tadashi looks up at you.
"___?" He asks softly.
"Hmm?" You answer absentmindedly.
"Can I ask you something?" He asks.
You look up at him. "Of course." You mark your place in the book and lay it down. Tadashi stands up. He takes you hand and pulls you up. "Tadashi, what are you doing?"
Tadashi smiles. "___, everyday you make me happy. I couldn't imagine being with someone else." You blush. Tadashi strokes your cheek. "You're just- perfect. And I love you, ___ ___. I love you more than I've loved anyone else - ever. I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side. Whether we're building a robot, or just reading all day- I only want you near me." You laugh lightly and tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. "So, I wanted to ask. . ." Tadashi pulls out the small velvet box and gets down on one knee. Your eyes widen. "Will you marry me?"
You nod, a few tears sliding down your cheek. "Yes," You whisper. "Yes, of course." Tadashi smiles and stands up. He puts the ring on your finger and kisses your lips. You wrap your arms around his neck. Tadashi presses his lips to your cheeks, catching the tears that stained them.
"I love, love, love you," He mutters against your skin. You bury your face in his neck.
"I love, love, love you, too."
