Hiro x Reader requested by xXZombie_KILLERxXx.
Enjoy. (Unedited). It was the Friday night just before a three day weekend. You, a robotics student, stay late into the night to work on your new invention; a charging system for Baymax that allows him to stay out of his luggage. Hiro wanted it but never had the time to build it himself. He was always upgrading his microbots, being a hero and studying.
"___," Hiro says, standing in the doorway of your lab.
"Hey, Hiro," You turn your head and smile as you work.
"How's it going?" He asks, walking beside you and placing a hand on your waist.
"Fine," You say. "It's tiring, sure, but Baymax will love it."
"Of course he will," Hiro says, placing a kiss on your cheek. "So are we doing something later tonight?"
"I was hoping that we could hang out tomorrow instead," You say.
"But it's Friday night," Hiro says, moving around the table and sitting in your office chair. He spins it around again and again.
"Yes, but I'm tired." Hiro stops spinning and stares at you. "What?"
"You're sure that's it?" He asks.
"What's it?" You ask, confused.
"You've been hanging around me less and less lately," He says.
"Hiro, I've been really busy-" You begin.
"Please. You spent all day yesterday at home and didn't even ask if I wanted to come over."
"I was studying."
"Studying. Sure." Hiro crosses his arms.
"What is your problem?" You ask. "What do you think I'm doing with my not-so-free time?" Hiro stares at you, his eyes burning. He glances down at his feet which he kicks out in front of him. "Oh. Hiro, you really don't think that I'm cheating on you, do you?" He shrugs. "Hiro-"
"Seems like that, sometimes," He mutters.
"What? When have I ever-"
"You avoid me all the time."
"I do not."
He sighs. "I just, I can't trust you."
Your jaw drops. "You can't trust me?"
He shakes his head. "No."
You slam your tools down. "Why not?"
"Give me a reason why I should."
"Give me a reason why you shouldn't. When have I ever lied to you? Or told you that I had better things to do than hang out with you? When?" Hiro shrugs. "I'm tired, Hiro. I'm tired and I just want to sleep."
"Sure," He mutters.
"I can't believe you're doing this," You whisper, tears in your eyes. "I can't believe you can't trust me-"
"Why should I?" Hiro yells, standing up from his seat. Everyone in their own labs hears the boy's shouts and pauses their own progress. "How many times do I have to say this?"
"I-if you just wanted to break up, t-then just do it. Don't make me feel like crap for no reason!" Hiro doesn't say anything. His eyes just burn into yours. "Okay. That's it, then. I'll just go. Take that to Baymax and fix the rest yourself."
Hiro blinks. "Wait, what?" He follows you as you grab the SFIT hoodie that was Hiro's (you'd been wearing it everyday) and ball it up. You walk out of the door, Hiro on your heels. "Where are you going? ___?"
You stop and push the hoodie into his arms. "Take it!" You scream. "I'm done, Hiro! I don't know what I did, but I'm done!" Hiro reaches out to touch your hand. What had he done? "No! Don't touch me, don't call me, don't text me!"
His face hardens. "Fine."
And with tears in your eyes, you leave.

The next two days pass by slowly. You spend yours heartbroken. You didn't want to be heartbroken, but you were. You loved Hiro more than anyone and now it was over. You sat on your couch, blanket over your shoulders, eating comfort food and watching movies. You were disgusted with yourself for being like any other teenage girl, but no one can avoid the heartache. It sucks. It really, really does.
Hiro was heartbroken as well. He didn't understand why he'd acted like that. He asked Baymax, who scanned him and concluded that it was just a mood swing associated with puberty. Hiro's cheeks heated up. So embarrassing. So all weekend, Hiro sat in the garage, staring at his food and fiddling around with his fight bots. By Monday night, he was dying to talk to you. He had to make this right.
~
Tuesday morning, Hiro waited for you. Ten minutes after your usual arrival time, you still hadn't shown up. "Hey, Wasabi?" Hiro asks as Wasabi carries supplies to his lab.
"Hello, Hiro," Wasabi greets.
"Have you, uh, seen ___?" Hiro asks nervously.
"No, I haven't, Hiro. Sorry," He says with a shrug.
"Okay," He says, looking around. Suddenly he sees you, holding a stack of folders and books to you chest. Your hair is frizzy, for you had only ran your brush through it twice before giving up. "___!" Hiro shouts, running towards you. You duck your head and walk quickly towards your lab. Hiro stops, suddenly concerned. Why did you ignore him? Didn't you want to make this right?
Back at your lab, you pull out your favorite book for comfort. The sadness of fictional characters was always helpful when you needed to get away from your own heartache. You ran a hand through your tangled hair as you read your book.
"___?" A voice says, knocking on the open door of your lab.
You stiffen. "Go away, Hiro."
"___," He says sadly, walking up to you. He places a hand on your shoulder and you shove it away.
"Hiro," You warn.
"___, please, just listen-" Hiro begins.
You spin around and stand. He staggers back. "Listen to what, Hiro? You yell at me more?"
"___. . . oh man, ___. . . your eyes," Hiro whispers. Your eyes were puffy and swollen from tears, with light purple shadows underneath. Your face was pale. "Did you sleep at all this weekend?"
"No," You say, looking at the tiled floor.
"This is my fault," Hiro realizes. You shrug. "It is. Oh, ___, I'm so sorry."
"Don't be sorry," You say. "It happens all the time."
"What does?" He asks.
"People just . . . stop loving someone. It's the someone's job to move on. I'm trying. I didn't expect you to stop loving me so quickly, but I guess it happens."
Hiro takes your hands. You try to move away. "No," He says, his deep brown eyes meeting your (e/c) ones. "I still love you."
"Then why-" You start, confused.
"Baymax diagnosed it as a symptom for puberty," Hiro says, blushing and rolling his eyes.
You can't help but laugh. Hiro laughs, but it sounds more like a sigh of relief. "So . . . you love me again, right?"
Hiro shakes his head. He says, "Who says I ever stopped?" and then kisses you.
