(88): Why'd You Leave Me

Tadashi x Reader x Baymax requested by Skye1111. I was going to divide this into two parts, but I didn't, so it's long. ^-^ Enjoy.

"Get up, ___, we've got to help Hiro prepare for his presentation today!" Your husband, Tadashi, says as he shakes your shoulder.

You sigh and sit up. "That's today?"

"Yes it is, and we are needed at Aunt Cass's, so get ready."

"Okay, okay," You say, slowly getting up. Tadashi kisses you and awkwardly wraps his arms around you. You laugh. "Hugging is even a struggle when you're pregnant, apparently."

Tadashi laughs and looks down at your stomach. "Just four more months."

"Yup," You say. "Alright, I need to get ready."

At the showcase, you cheer along with Cass and the group of your friends as Hiro shows his microbots off to the crowd. He was doing great. Tadashi kept one hand around your waist the entire time until Hiro was finished. He ran off to find him. The group goes to follow.

"Great job, Hiro!" You say, hugging him tightly.

Hiro laughs. "Thanks, ___."

Callaghan walks up. "Mr. Hamada," He calls.

"Um, I'll go stand over there with Cass." You smile encouragingly at Hiro and walk away.

Five minutes later, Hiro leads the group out of SFIT, holding up his acceptance letter triumphantly.

"All right, geniuses!" Cass says. "Let's feed those hungry brains. Back to the cafe! Dinner is on me!"

Fred jumps with excitement. "Yes! Nothing is better than free food!" He adds, "Except for when it's moldy."

Tadashi smiles. "Aunt Cass? We'll catch up, okay?"

"Sure. I'm so proud of you. I'm proud of both of you." She hugs her nephews close.

Tadashi turns to you. "Wait by our car, okay?"

"Okay," You say with a smile. "I love you."

"I love you too." Tadashi leans down and kisses you quickly before walking away with his brother.

You walk back to your car and sit in the passengers seat, waiting. You stare out the windshield, until movement catches your eye in the rearview mirror. "Oh God," You whisper, seeing the fire. You jump out of the car and run as fast as you can to the showcase.

"Tadashi?" You scream, your voice strained. "Tadashi?"

Then you see him, standing just before the steps. He takes a step forward to the showcase. "Tadashi, no!" Hiro shouts.

You run to him. "Tadashi, don't!"

"Callaghan is still in there. Someone has to help." He looks at you, his eyes sad. "Get out of here. The smoke isn't good for the baby."

"But- Tadashi-" You start. Tadashi kisses your forehead and runs off towards the building. His hat falls to the ground. Hiro runs forward to grab it. He looks over at you and shakes his head before running towards the entrance. "No!" You shout.

Hiro doesn't make it. The building explodes, making the two of you fly back. You land on your back, Hiro on his stomach. He sits up and looks over at you, making sure you're alive. The showcase is in total flames. You know that Tadashi isn't coming back.

"Tadashi!" Hiro shouts. "Tadashi! Tadashi!"

After the funeral, you sit on Hiro's bed. He only talked to you because he knew that you were feeling it just as bad.
