Warning-- feels coming your way~

Enjoy. (Unedited).

In your dream, something awful was happening. Well, you felt as if something awful was happening. The cloudy feeling of your dream felt distant as a buzzing of worry filled you. Your eyes popped open and you began to breath hard. A buzzing noise is in your ear. What?

Your phone, beside your pillow. Hiro. You were friends with him and were dating his brother, Tadashi. What's he doing, calling you when he knew that you had to sleep? You answer it. "Hey. Oh, did the showcase go well?"

"___," Cass says quietly. "It's Cass."

"Oh, Cass. I-is something wrong?" You ask, biting your lip.

"I-I- oh God, I can't do this." She breaks off with a sob.

"Cass, please tell me what happened. Where's Hiro? Is he okay? Put Tadashi on the phone."

"I-I can't-h-here's Fred, okay?"

"Okay?" You whisper.

"H-hey, ___," He says.

"Fred, what is going on?" You ask. Silence. "Just tell me. I can handle it."

"He's gone," Fred says.

"Who's gone?" You whisper.

"Tadashi. There was a fire and-"

"Oh God," You whisper. You close your eyes and cover your mouth. "No. No, no, no."

"He-He didn't make it out."

"No, please," You wail.

"I'm sorry. So sorry. We're going to the cafe with Cass to plan the funeral. Wasabi will drive by and get you, if you want."

"I-I can't- I- I need to wake up."

"___," is all he says.

"Thanks for telling me," You whisper. "I gotta- I'm- just, bye." You hang up and drop your phone on the floor. You cover your eyes and sob, your shoulders shaking with every breath. You drop on the bed, clenching your pillow desperately. This wasn't real, no way.

Twenty minutes later, the pain still hasn't dulled, but it's made you numb. Your door opens. Fred and Wasabi stand there, looking sad. It hits you anew, dragging you down to your lowest point until you were sure that you were going to break. Fred walks over and sits by your bed, patting your shoulder. Wasabi stands behind him, a hand on your back. No words were needed; just comfort. You didn't know what to do. You needed to get away; you didn't want to go to Cass, to fall in her arms and sob, you didn't want to see Hiro's sad and empty eyes, you didn't want to throw a handful of dirt in the grave that held no part of him, you didn't want to feel the emptiness and despair everyday for the rest of your life.

But you did.
