You wander down the halls, a bag of tools in hand. You brought it for your boyfriend, Tadashi. He's working late on his latest project and forgot his tools in his garage, so you stopped by to pick them up.

You stop by Honey Lemon's lab. "Hey, Honey Lemon."

"Hi, ___!" She greets. "Want to see what I'm doing?"

"I would, but I've got to get these to Tadashi before he freaks out."

"Ah. That's okay. Maybe on your way out?"

"Totally," You say. "I'll see you later, Honey Lemon."

Honey Lemon waves as you walk away.

You step into Tadashi's lab. He's sitting at his desk, hunched over a stack of papers and blueprints.

"Hey, 'Dashi. I brought your tools."

"Set them over there," He mutters through clenched teeth.

You sit the bag of tools on the side table that sits beside a half built robot. When you move your hand back, you knock a few tools off. They clatter to the floor. Tadashi jumps. "Watch it!"

"Sorry!" You say.

Tadashi runs to the table. "For once can you not be clumsy? You could break something!"

"I'm sorry, 'Dashi. I didn't mean it."

"You never mean in, ___," He sneers.

"What's your problem?"

"Right now you're my problem. You make a mess of everything. I can't even ask you to do one simple task. Get out of here now."

"Tadashi," You whisper, shocked. "You're stressed. You need to-"

"I don't need to do anything! I'm not stressed! I'm annoyed! And you're the one annoying me! Get out of here. Don't bother coming back here. Ever." Tadashi stands up and walks to the robot. He kneels down and attaches a part.

You swallow. You try to hold back the tears by biting down on your lip, but it doesn't work. "O-Okay. I won't bother you again."

Tadashi cringes at the sound of your broken voice. He glances up at you. Your face makes the anger inside of him melt. You run out, afraid of being yelled at again.

"___, wait," He says. He steps out of the hall and watches you run out.

Honey Lemon sees you pass by her lab. She steps out. "___! What's wrong?"

You ignore her. You just want to go home.

Tadashi runs down the hall and stands next to Honey Lemon.

"Tadashi? What did you do?" She asks.

Tadashi runs a hand through his hair and closes his eyes. "I messed up."

You run into your house and collapse on your couch. Tears flood out of your eyes. A sense of loneliness rushes over you like a wave.

Only an hour after you're home, there's a knock at the door. You open it. Tadashi stands there with teary eyes and a sad smile. "Hey," He says softly. You jump and try to push the door closed. "Wait, wait!" Tadashi pushes the door. "Please. Wait."

You step back and let Tadashi in. "What?" You mutter.

"___, I'm sorry. I really, really am. I didn't mean to yell at you."

You look away. "You should go."

"___, please. Just hear me out. I was wrong. You're right; I am stressed. It's my fault. Nothing I said was true. I'm so, so, so sorry."

You nod. "It's okay. I forgive you."

Tadashi lets out a sigh of relief. He pulls you into a hug. "I love you, ___. Don't ever, ever doubt that. I love you more than anything."

You smile. "I love you, too. Don't ever doubt that, either."
