I've been getting a few requests for a Tadashi x Reader version of the Colds (Hiro), so here you go!
BTW I'm obsessed with that gif of 'Dashi that I attached. . . ❤❤❤
(Unedited).
Tadashi runs a hand through the front of his hair with a groan of frustration. He's been at this for hours; trying to find a good idea for his next big project. He's currently buried under a pile of wadded papers. And on top of it all, he's been feeling sick today. "Come on, Tadashi, just think!" he mutters to himself.
"Talking to yourself again?" He turns his head.
"Hey," he says, his voice slightly scratchy, "you're finished with your studying?"
"No," you answer truthfully, "but my brain tells me that it's finished, so therefore I'm taking you to dinner."
Tadashi raises his eyebrows at you. "Isn't the boyfriend supposed to take the girlfriend out to dinner?" He reaches an arm out and grabs your waist, pulling you near him.
You put your hands on his shoulders and lean down. "I like to change it up. Besides, you've been working so hard today." You smile and slowly slide your arms around his neck. You lean down a little more to kiss him. Tadashi remembers his sore throat and turns his head. "What?"
"I can't kiss you. I think I'm getting sick," he explains.
You pout. "What's wrong?"
"My throat hurts," he tells you. "I'm fine. Let's go have dinner." He stands up and rests his hands on your waist for a moment before reaching around you to grab his jacket. He winces as your cold fingers touch his cheek. "What are you doing?"
"Are you feeling achy? You're sort of warm."
Tadashi shivers. "I'm fine."
You shake your head and pull your keys out of your purse. "I'm taking you home."
"What? No! What about our date?"
"We'll reschedule," you tell him.
"What about my mo-ped?"
"We can put it in the back of my car," you say. "There's enough space. Come on, Hamada." You take his hand and tug him behind you. He slides his green jacket around his shoulders and pulls it tight around him. When you push open the doors of the school, you groan. The rain is pouring down. "Here." You shrug your jacket off and drape it over his shoulders.
"W-What are you doing?" He shivers.
"You're sick," you remind him and toss him the keys. "Come on."
"___!" He protests as you run to Tadashi's mo-ped. You grab the handles and start to guide it to your car. You open the trunk and wipe the drips of water out of your eyes. "___, let me help."
"No," you say. "Get in the car." He opens his mouth in protest. "I'll stand out here all night."
Tadashi sighs and walks around the side of the car. You smile when you hear the door open and close. By the time the mo-ped is secure in the trunk of your car, you're shivering violently. You quickly run around to the driver's side and throw the door open. As soon as you're safe inside the cry car, you let out a shaky breath.
"You shouldn't of done that," Tadashi mutters. "Now you're going to get sick."
"I'm fine," you say, but your teeth are chattering.
Tadashi leans over and turns the heat all the way up. You're still shivering as you drive him home. Once you pull in front of the cafe, you let out a deep breath and run to the doors. Tadashi wraps an arm around your waist as you step inside. "Aunt Cass?"
Aunt Cass calls from upstairs, "Hey, sweetie!" He leads you up the steps and into the kitchen. "Oh my gosh, what happened?"
"Tadashi's sick," you answer.
He glares at you. "It's raining," he adds. "Aunt Cass, can we have a couple of towels?"
"Of course," she says, opening the closet and taking out two white towels. Tadashi hands you them and waves you up to his room. He goes straight to his dresser and pulls out a pair of his pajama pants and one of his t shirts. He tosses them to you and hurriedly pushes you towards the bathroom.
"Go get dried and changed," he says.
You roll your eyes. "You worry too much, Tadashi!"
"Do you know how dangerous it is to stand in the freezing rain? That's so unhealthy!"
"Just a reminder that you're the one who's sick," you say slyly.
"You're going to be sick," he replies.
You step out of the bathroom with Tadashi's clothes on and a towel in your hair. As you squeeze the water out, you say, "I'm fine. You need to take medicine or something."
Tadashi smiles at you and brings back a thick blanket. He wraps it around your shoulders and gently pulls you to his bed. You sit beside him and smile back. He sighs and runs a hand up and down your arm to warm you up. "You're a pain sometimes, ___, but I love you so much."
"I love you, too," you reply, pushing your forehead forward until it touches his.
"Here, guys," Aunt Cass says. She quickly walks up the steps and hands you both a cup of hot tea. "Drink up. You need it." She points at Tadashi. "And you need to take cough medicine before bed and drink another cup of tea. Do you hear me?"
Tadashi chuckles. "Yes, Aunt Cass."
"Thank you," she says. "___, I'll throw your clothes in the drier." She takes them out of the bathroom.
"Thanks," you reply with a smile. When she disappears, you blow lightly on your tea and take a sip.
Tadashi leans over and kisses the top of your head. "You look really adorable in that," he comments.
"I've always looked good in nerd clothes," you joke. Suddenly, you let out a loud sneeze.
Tadashi shakes his head. "Told you."
"Shut up," you say quietly. You realize something. You look over at him and touch his cheek. Before he can stop you, you guide his face to yours and kiss him on the lips. "Now that I'm sick, I can kiss you again." You kiss him once more.
Tadashi chuckles at you. "You hoped for this the entire time, huh?" You shrug and lean into his arms. "You're unbelievable."
