Pregnant Reader x Fred because I felt like we needed one of these. ^-^ it's short again, sorry. I've been really stressed and busy!
(Unedited).
You wake up to the smell of your favorite meal cooking. You slowly pull yourself out of the bed and walk to the kitchen.
"Hey, Freddie," You greet your husband. He's standing at the counter, putting your breakfast on a plate. "Did you get up early to cook for me?"
"Uh-huh," He says. He leans over and kisses your head.
"You're so sweet," You tell him, wrapping your arms around his torso.
He pats your swollen stomach. "Today's the day."
"Maybe," You say. "He could come anytime. It could be days."
Fred frowns. You tighten your arms around him. Fred has been anticipating the birth of his (daughter/son) since the moment you told him that you were expecting. Today is your due date, and a part of you knew that your baby probably wasn't going to make an appearance tonight.
"(She/He)'ll be here soon," You promise him. "We just have to be a little patient."
-
Later that night, you're laying in bed. Fred walks in and looks at you hopefully. "Anything?" He asks.
"Nope," You say.
He sighs.
"Maybe tonight," You add, trying to make him feel better.
"Maybe," Fred says. He climbs into bed and kisses you. "I love you."
"I love you, too," You whisper. You curl up next to Fred. He keeps one hand on your stomach as he falls asleep.

It's been almost a week and there still hasn't been anything. You and Fred hang around the house. Today, you're sitting on the couch with him, your legs pulled up into his lap. Everything is getting really uncomfortable.
"I feel so heavy," You say breathlessly. You look down to your stomach. "When do you think you'll be ready, baby?" You ask your (daughter/son).
Fred smiles. "Hopefully soon. Do you hear that?" He talks to the baby. "Your Mommy and Daddy want to see you. Don't you want to see us?"
You shake your head. "(She/He)'s not budging."
"Come on. . . we'll have so much fun!" He continues to talk to the baby. "I can read you comics every night, dress you up as super heroes. . . when you're older, we can take you to amusement parks and out for ice cream. . . doesn't that sound fun?"
You laugh when the baby kicks. "I think it does."
Fred laughs and touches your stomach. "Then you'd better come out, kiddo. We can't wait to meet you." He leans down and kisses your stomach.
~
"I called the doctor," You say to Fred. He's laying in the middle of the bed you two share, reading a comic.
"And?"
"And I'm supposed to go in first thing tomorrow morning. I'll probably be induced." You take a seat on the side of the bed. Fred reaches out and takes your hand. "It stinks that (she/he) didn't want to come out on (her/his) own."
"It doesn't really matter," Fred says with a shrug. "We're going to be parents tomorrow. Tomorrow."
"Yeah," You breathe, your mouth pulling up into a smile.
Fred pats your stomach. "We can't wait to meet you," He says softly.
-
That night, you're laying next to your snoring husband. It's hard to fall asleep with all of this excitement. By tomorrow night, you could be holding your baby. Your perfect, little baby (girl/boy), cradled safely in your arms. . . Freddie by your side . . . all your friends and family gathered around to meet (him/her). . .
You're just falling under when a sharp pain hits your abdomen. You wince and the pain dulls. When it comes back, a part of you wakes up completely. You turn to Fred.
"Fred!" You say. "Freddie! Fred!"
"Wh-What?" Fred asks, eyes wide with alarm. He sits up and looks down at you with concern. He pushes his hair behind his ears. "Are you okay?"
"I-I think that (she/he)'s coming," You say. "We need to get to the hospital."
"Oh my gosh, okay, okay." Fred jumps up and helps you off of the bed. "Hang in there, guys," He tells you and the baby.
-
After hours of tiring, hard, and painful labor, you give birth to your beautiful baby (girl/boy). Fred is at your side during the whole birth. He keeps one hand around yours.
You're the first one to hold your baby. (His/Her) loud cries make you cry. You cradle the baby against your chest. "Hi there, (baby_name), hi. It's so good to finally see you. You're so beautiful, baby. You're so beautiful." You kiss (her/his) head. "I love you so much, (baby_name). So much."
Fred smiles at his newborn (daughter/son). "(She/He) is perfect."
You nod. "Do you want to hold (him/her)?"
Fred nods. You carefully set the baby in your husband's arms. He smiles. "Hi, baby. It's your Daddy. I feel like I've waited forever to see you. You're so beautiful. You look just like your Mommy."
"(He/She) was worth waiting for, huh?" You ask softly.
"Definitely," Fred says. He kisses (baby_name)'s head. "Let's introduce you to the family, okay? Do you want to meet the family?"
You smile as Fred hands the baby back to you. "Be patient, Freddie. I want to spend time with just the two of you for a minute." You look over at Fred and kiss him. He kisses you back on the lips, then twice on the cheek.
"I love you," He murmurs.
"I love you, too," You reply. The two of you turn your attention back to your baby, happy and content in your family.
