Short Wasabi x Reader (with a Wasabi baby!) that I thought of. ^-^ This is a short part one because I had a bad day. I don't feel good and I'm tired. Second part will be up tomorrow!

(Unedited).

"___," Wasabi, your husband, calls from downstairs.

"What?" You ask, pulling your brush through your hair.

"Do you think you can hurry up, sweetie? I'm on a schedule, here!" His voice is panicked. You smile.

"Yeah. I'm coming."

You run down the stairs and to the front door, where Wasabi stands with a grocery list in his hand. He taps his foot.

"I'm ready," You say.

"Good. Let's go." Wasabi takes your hand, squeezing it lightly.

You follow your husband out to the car. You normally hated grocery trips, but this one was different. You really need to pick something up.

-

At the grocery, Wasabi heads to the seafood section.

You hang back. "I'm, uh, going to the bathroom. I'll be right back."

"Okay," Wasabi says, distracted by the displays of raw fish that lay on beds of green leaves and ice.

You walk off, but not to the bathrooms. You go to the pharmacy area to pick up a pregnancy test. It takes you a few minutes to find the right one. You quickly go ahead and go through the checkout line. You purchase the pregnancy test and wrap the box and receipt up. You stuff it into your purse and circle back to the grocery, where Wasabi is throwing loaves of bread into the cart.

He looks up at you and smiles. You smile back. "Did you get most of it?" You ask.

"Most of it," He says. "All we need to pick up are-"

Suddenly, a baby wails from the end of the aisle. The baby tosses its bottle across the floor. The top pops off and milk splatters on boxes of clearance bakery cakes. The parents sigh, rub their tired eyes, and clean it up. They carry on with their shopping, ignoring the baby's cries.

Wasabi sighs.

"What?" You ask.

"Kids are impossible," He mumbles.

"Not all kids," You defend.

Wasabi laughs. "Not all kids. Right. I don't think that I can handle being a father. In fact, I don't know if I could ever bring myself to want to be one."

You force a smile. Your anxiety gnaws at your stomach. How will Wasabi react if the test comes back positive?

-

Later that night, Wasabi cooks dinner. He hums to himself as he chops vegetables and tosses them into a pot. You sit in the bathroom. Your palms are on the side of the sink, your eyes distant. Any second now and you can see. Do you want to see? Yes. A minute passes. No. Five minutes pass. Maybe. Two minutes. No. Seven minutes. Yes. You grab the pregnancy test. Your stomach flutters.

You're pregnant.

"Love, dinner is ready!" Wasabi calls out.

You step out of the bathroom, leaving the test on the side of the bathtub.

"Wasabi?" You ask quietly.

"Hmm?" He hums.  He's setting the table.

"R-Remember what you earlier? About the, uh, baby?"

"Yes. Why?"

You bite your lip. "Well. I'm, uh, pregnant," You breathe.

Wasabi stops. "You're-" He takes a deep breath.

You nod.

"I'm- going to be a dad," He whispers, almost as if he can't believe it.

"Are you mad?" You ask.

"Mad? Why on earth would I be mad? ___, this is completely different than a stranger's baby! This is ours!" He pulls you into his arms and presses his lips to your cheek. "And she'll be just a beautiful as you."

You breathe out a huge sigh of relief. "What if he is just as handsome as you?" You ask with a smirk.

Wasabi laughs. "I love you."

"I love you, too." You press your forehead against Wasabi's and you close your eyes.
