(281): Pumpkin Spice (Tadashi)

A Tadashi x Reader that I thought of~

It's Monday morning. Your first class starts at ten, so you decide to stop by the cafe for a cup of coffee. When you walk in, Aunt Cass greets you.

"Good morning, ___. How are you?"

"I'm fine," You reply, walking to the counter, where Aunt Cass is reflilling the napkin dispensers. "You?"

"Wonderful," She says. "If you're here to see Tadashi, you'll probably have to wait. I think he's in the shower."

"Actually, I came for coffee." You take a seat at one of the stools at the counter.

"And what would you like? French vanilla?"

"I actually heard that your famous pumpkin spice latte is back. Is that true?" You smirk.

Aunt Cass laughs. "Why yes, it is. Would you like a cup?"

"Yes please," You say, your eyes wide.

Aunt Cass grabs a mug and begins to make your pumpkin spice latte. "I assume Tadashi told you about it?" She guesses, topping the beverage with an even coating of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

"Yup," You reply. "He knows that I love pumpkin spice." You take a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the spice and sweetness.

"And I don't blame you," She says sweetly, placing the mug in front of you.

"How much?" You ask, digging into your backpack for your wallet.

"No charge. It's on the house."

"Cass-"

"You heard me, ___." She smiles.

"Okay. Thank you." You return the smile and she turns away to refill the containers of sweetner. You glide your finger across the top of the whipped cream, gathering a bit of cinnamon with it.

"Morning, Aunt Cass," You hear Tadashi say. You look up at the stairs and see him stop at the bottom step. His hair is slightly damp and he is wearing his yellow cardigan. His chocolate brown eyes fall on you. "___," He says, crossing the room to get to you. He flashes a dazzling smile. "Came to see me early, huh?"

"Nope," You reply, placing your whipped cream covered fingertip in your mouth. "Pumpkin latte."

"Ah," He says. He leans down to kiss the top of your head. "Either way, you're here. And you look as beautiful as ever."

"Aw," You say, smiling. "But flattery won't get you a drink of my latte, Hamada. Nice try."

"Darn," He says, resting his elbows on the counter and leaning in close to you. "Guess I'll have to try harder then."

You lean over until your nose touches his. He smiles a crinkly-eyed smile, which makes you return one. You find his hands and hold them in yours.

Hiro skips down the steps and sees the two of you right away. "Ugh! This early, guys?" He pretends to gag as he takes a seat next to you. "Sometimes I really wish you weren't my ride to school, Tadashi."

"Suck it up," Tadashi says, pulling away. You lift up the mug and bring it to your lips. You take a sip, then hand it to Tadashi.

"Go ahead and have a drink," You tell him. "We're running late and you're being extra adorable today."

Tadashi raises his eyebrows as he takes a drink. Hiro groans. "Guys, we have more than one mug down here! Can we just go to class?"

"Chill out, knucklehead," Tadashi says.

You and Tadashi finish off your latte and he places the mug in the sink. Before you hop off the stool, Tadashi places his hands on your waist and leans in. He presses his lips to yours softly. "Guys!" Hiro grumbles. Tadashi pulls away and laughs. You reach out for his hand. He takes it and leads you out of the cafe.
