I apologize for not updating regularly. I've been dealing with finals, stress, and quite a few hateful & rude comments/messages.

Look, I can't do everything quickly. PLEASE be patient if you're waiting for a request. My entire life does not revolve around writing for you whenever you want. I have a family, school, and problems to deal with. And can I just add that begging for anything I said I wouldn't write (smut/lemons, girl x girl, boy x boy, and for now any holiday) and saying that it might help me become open minded and a better person or make me happier in life DOES NOT WORK. You all ask me to be respectful towards your beliefs, and I am, I wouldn't disrespect anyone -- but you're not being respectful to me. Kindness. Practice kindness in everything you do.

I apologize for having to rant again, but I can't deal with it anymore. I don't want to stop writing because it's my passion, but sometimes I feel like it's what I should do.

Yes, requests are still open. Yes, I will still answer messages, but please be patient and respectful.

Tadashi x Reader~

You steps inside of the familiar cafe with a grin on your face. Tadashi meets your eyes right away and quickly crosses the room. He smiles brightly and takes your face in his hands, greeting you with a sweet kiss on the lips. "Hi," you breathe.

"Hey," he replies. "What are you doing here?"

"My family is heading out to the campground today," you say. "We'll be staying overnight for my dad's birthday. I came to invite you. What do you say?"

"Camping?" he asks, raising his eyebrows. "You don't seem like the camping type. . ."

You shrug. "It's my dad's birthday. Besides, marshmallows and star gazing sounds pretty nice."

He nods. "Can't argue with that. Sure, I'll be down."

"Great! San Fransokyo Campground at two in the afternoon tomorrow. Don't forget."

"I won't," he promises.

"Good. I've got to get to work. I'll see you tomorrow!" You lean forward and kiss his cheek lightly. "I love you."

"I love you, too," he says.

You smile and walk out of the cafe. Tadashi sighs and runs his hand through his black hair, knocking his hat off in the process.

Hiro casually walks down the steps and smiles at his brother. "Hey, big bro. I thought I heard ___ down here."

Tadashi smiles at his now eighteen year old younger brother. "You did. She left."

"Ah." Hiro takes in his brother's expression. "Is everything okay? Did you have a fight?"

"No, everything's fine. I'm going camping with her and her family tomorrow."

"Camping, huh? Fun," Hiro says, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah," he says. "I'd better go pack, I guess." He leaves his brother and heads upstairs, grabbing his duffle bag and stuffing it with his favorite pajama pants, a couple of t shirts, a pair of dark jeans, and a yellow cardigan. He goes to the bathroom to grab his spare toothbrush. He stops when he sees his reflection in the mirror.

His scars, the burns that have forever printed his skin with their torturing marks, are the most obvious feature on him. They cover his entire left side, a few even touching right below his right ear. He sighs, watching the air blow through his destroyed lips. How did you bring yourself to kiss him? To even look at him? You were different. Kind, loving, gentle. . . and with every day Tadashi faces the fact that, one day, you could stop loving him. One little freak out or symptom of the nightmare he endured just four and a half years ago.

Aunt Cass let him borrow her green truck for the night. He drives slowly through the winding dirt roads, happily reliving the last time he was here with his parents.

Hiro was just born. His mother was barely out of the hospital with him, but they both insisted that a family vacation was needed. Of course, there was the oversized camper that seemed like more of a trailer, but it was still camping. Tadashi smiles, being reminded of playing baseball with his dad, of helping his dad cook the fish for dinner, of swimming in the lake near the camp, and of leaning back against the log, dozing off as his mother sings a lullaby to a fussy Hiro, the campfire keeping him warm.

Tadashi jerks himself from his thoughts as he pulls up to the camp. Your dad is standing in the clearing of the trees, grinning ear to ear. Tadashi stops the car and rolls down the window. "Hello, sir."

"Hey, Tadashi." He pats his shoulder. "You can park right down the field there. Be careful; ___'s little cousins are running around here."

Tadashi smiles. "Sure thing, Mr. ______."

Your dad shakes his head. "What'd I tell you? Call me (Dad's Name)."

Tadashi nods and pulls away. He parks next to an unfamiliar blue car, and as soon as he climbs out of the truck, he is greeted by you. "Tadashi!"

He grins and takes you in his arms, hugging you tightly. "Hey, sweetie," he says softly, kissing your cheek.

"I'm so glad you made it. C'mon, Dad's starting dinner. We can get your tent set up!"

Just a few hours later, you're standing next to Tadashi, your hand in his as you talk to your aunt. Tadashi doesn't talk much in the conversation, and you're starting to get worried. As your family all starts to pile their plates for dinner, you turn to him.

"'Dashi, are you okay?"

He smiles. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?"

"You're kind of quiet," you say.

"I'm okay," he says, kissing the top of your head. You smile and lead him to the food table.

-

"Here, ___, pass out the marshmallows." You pick up the bag of marshmallows and pass one out to each of the small kids that are gathering around the building fire. You smile at them and their excitement.

"Leftover marshmallows!" you announce, holding up a bag. The adults grin and all take a couple. As everyone roasts the marshmallows over the fire, you realize someone is missing. Tadashi. He was right beside you just around sunset. . .

You spot him next to his tent. He has an old throw blanket wrapped around his shoulders. "Tadashi," you say as you approach him. "If you're cold, why don't you come over here?"

He shakes his head and smiles politely. "I'm fine."

"Don't you want some s'mores?"

"No thanks," he says. The fire behind you lets out a loud popping noise as it burns through the wood. Tadashi flinches and then bashfully looks away. Then, it sinks in.

"Oh my gosh," you breathe. "Tadashi, I didn't even think about it! I'm so sorry!" You sit down beside him and bury your face in your hands. "I'm the worst girlfriend ever." Of course he's afraid of fire after the showcase.

"You're not the worst girlfriend ever," he assures you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "I'm just scared. I hear it. . . I smell it. . . I see it. . . and I just think of that night. I think of how I ran in there without a second thought, how as soon as that beam almost hit me I realized my mistake. You needed me, Hiro needed me. . . you both wanted - needed - me to come out safe and I almost didn't." He shivers and looks down.

"I love you," you say. "I've loved you, even when you chose to run away, even when you were in a coma." You smile. "I'm so thankful to still have you in my life, Tadashi."

"I'm thankful to have you," he replies, leaning his head against yours. "Even with my fears and my scars, you treat me like I'm the same nerdy guy that was dating you in high school." He chuckles.

"We're both different now, Tadashi. But I have never loved you more than I do right now." You kiss his cheek and hug him tightly. "If you're afraid, please tell me. I can help."

"You help me everyday just by being here," he kisses your cheek. "I love you."
