(218): Happy Birthday, Tadashi!

My Spring Break is now over, and I don't know how much I can update. I'll try to get in at least one one shot a day. We'll see. I'm in full "one month till Disney World" mode, which means I'll have to take all my finals and stuff early. Bleh. Oh well, at least I get to finally go home!

I've been getting a few requests for a Birthday Tadashi x Reader, so here ^_^

"Okay, guys," You say to your group of six friends. "Aunt Cass just sent me a text. Her and Tadashi are going to be back from breakfast any minute. We're not even close to being done, so I'm going to keep Tadashi busy all day."

"You're leaving us here to decorate alone?" Wasabi gasps.

"Yeah, well, it won't be that bad."

"Yes it will!" Wasabi cries.

Go Go passes by, a roll of red streamers in her hand. "Stop whining. Woman up."

"It's going to be okay, Wasabi," Honey Lemon says. "Everything will be perfect."

"Cass is going to help, too. Don't stress." You hear a car door shut. "Oh! Gotta go. Good luck, guys. Please don't screw this up. Please."

"Don't worry, ___. You can't count on us!" Hiro says as you walk out. Just then, Baymax crashes into a table and knocks everything over. The cake and presents crash onto the floor.

"Oh no," Baymax says.

Honey sighs. "I'll start on another cake."

Hiro sighs. "Oh, man. This is going to be tough."

"Hey, Tadashi!" You greet your best friend.

He grins. "Hey, ___. What are you doing here?"

"I've been waiting here for you. I'm here to give you the best birthday ever." You hug Tadashi.

"Is this it?" Tadashi laughs.

"No, silly," You say. "Come with me." You pull away and walk down the sidewalk.

"Have fun!" Aunt Cass calls out as Tadashi follows you.

"So, where are you dragging me to, exactly?" He asks.

You smile. "Just wait and see!"

One movie, a science museum, and a stop for ice cream later, you and Tadashi arrive back at Aunt Cass's cafe. The sun has just set. "So what was the point of dragging me around all day?"

"Um, because it's your birthday," You say.

"We could've just spent time together here. Just like any ordinary day," He says.

"Yes, but that would be an ordinary day. This is your birthday."

"Right, right," Tadashi says. He opens the door to the cafe. "Ladies first."

You step inside the dark. Tadashi steps inside and blinks. "Wow, it's dark. ___, can you find the light switch?" You don't answer. "___?"

Suddenly, the lights flicker on. "Surprise! Happy birthday, Tadashi!" Everyone cheers.

Tadashi grins. "Hey, guys! Thanks!" He looks over at you. You're grinning.

"Happy birthday, 'Dashi," You say, planting a light kiss on his cheek.

"This is why you kept me out all day, huh?" He asks.

"It is your birthday," You say.

Tadashi hugs you tightly. "Thanks," He says quietly as he buries his face in your hair. "This means so much. You're the best."

"Don't forget about all of us, dude," Hiro says. "We helped plan, too."

"Right." Tadashi steps away and yanks his little brother into a hug. Tadashi laughs as Hiro grimaces and struggles to get away. "Thanks, knucklehead!"

"Not what I meant!" Hiro shouts.

Everyone laughs and Honey Lemon takes a lot of photos. Tadashi is overwhelmed by the amount of gifts he receives. Honey Lemon and Cass made a cake, which everyone loves. The party goes on until midnight, when it's just you and Tadashi. Hiro is asleep in a chair.

"I'd better get home," You say with a yawn. You head for the door.

"Yeah, it's pretty late." He opens the door for you, but grabs your hand. Tadashi hesitates before leaning in and kissing your cheek. "Goodnight."

Your eyes widen. "Night," You whisper as Tadashi walks up the stairs.
