Lots of feels ahead~

(Unedited).

Losing him was probably the biggest heartache you had ever faced. It was like you had waken up from a dream. Your life is now a nightmare. You can't get away from it. You're currently driving to Aunt Cass's house from his funeral, but your eyes are burning with tears and you can't see. You pull over on the side of the road and break down.

Your forehead meets the leather of the steering wheel and you let out a long, choking sob. The fire replays in your head. You didn't want him to go in, even though Callaghan was your mentor, too. You begged Tadashi to stay. Instead, he gave you a kiss on the forehead and left you forever. You close your eyes tightly. "I miss you," you whisper, praying that your message reaches him in heaven.

"I miss you, too," he whispers back. You freeze. Your eyes pop open in shock. His voice is so clear and real. It's almost as if he is beside you. You sit up and look to the seat beside you.

"Oh my gosh," you breathe, your eyes scanning the figure in front of you. Tadashi. He's wearing the exact outfit you had seen him in last. His smile was warm and happy. "'Dashi," you cry softly.

"It's okay," he says. "I miss you, too."

"I miss you so much you don't even know. Why'd you leave me?"

"I had to help," he replies. "It's alright."

"Don't leave me again," you beg, your voice rising in a panic.

"I won't. I promise."

You blink. When your eyes open, he's gone. You turn your attention to the road again. You slowly start the car up and continue down the road to Aunt Cass's house.

After you're finished visiting, you immediately head home. As soon as you step inside of your house, you change into an old pair of pajama pants and Tadashi's hoodie that he gave you. You make yourself a cup of tea and sit on your bed. Life almost seems normal until you glance at the picture on your nightstand. You and Tadashi, hands entwined, both sporting your SFIT wear. Your eyes fill with tears and you put the picture face-down.

"It's alright to cry," the voice says again.

You look over and see Tadashi standing in your doorway. "I can't let the others see me like this."

"Everyone cries when they lose someone."

"When I lost you, I lost my whole life," you explain.

"___, you have an entire life ahead of you," he says.

"You were my life!" you insist, the tears spilling out of your eyes.

"I was part of your life. Part. I'm not anymore."

"Oh, what do you know? You're dead."

"Exactly. You know what that means."

You bite your lip and set your mug down. "You know what? I'm not in the mood for this. If you want to fight, we'll do it tomorrow. I'm tired." There's not a response. You look around. "Tadashi?"

He's gone.

The next morning, you do nothing. Tadashi visits when you break down around noon, and again when you break down around nine thirty at night.

"Do you remember when we went on our first date?"

"It was Valentine's Day," he said. "How could I forget? You looked gorgeous." Every time Tadashi visited, you felt the most comfortable. You could manage to eat a few bites of food or get a couple hours of sleep. It was a torturous pattern, but it was the closest thing you had to normality.

The cycle never ends. Days turn into weeks. You haven't stepped outside since the funeral. Your friends leave you messages, but they are all ignored.

Today, you're browsing on your laptop. A small window opens.

Incoming chat from Honey Lemon.

You sigh and click on the window. She pops up on the screen. "Hey, ___. How are you?"

You force a smile. "I'm okay. You?"

"I'm good. Go Go is here." Honey Lemon turns her phone around. "Say hi!" she says. Go Go pops a pink bubble and cracks a smile. You wave.

"Hi," you say.

Go Go and I are about to go get some sushi. We were wondering if you'd like to come."

You look down at the keyboard. "I don't know. . ."

"Please? It'll be good for you to get out. We miss you, ___," she says, her eyes wide. You sigh. Honey Lemon and Go Go have always been your best friends.

"I'll think about it," you say shortly.

Honey Lemon nods. "Okay. If you need anything at all, please contact us. We're here for you."

"Thanks," you say.

"We love you, ___. All of us. Me, Go Go, Wasabi, Fred, Hiro . . . we all want you to know that. Don't hesitate to talk to us."

You blink away tears. "I love you guys, too," you breathe. You clear your throat. "And I'll get back to you soon. Bye." You shut the lid of your laptop quickly and let out a sob.

Right on cue, he's there.

"You need to go."

"I can't," you say.

"You need to. Honey is right. It's good for you," he says patiently.

"No," you say. "Not without you."

"___," Tadashi whispers.

You shake your head. "Don't say it. Don't even say it."

"I'm not alive."

"Tadashi, please," you say, the tears spilling over.

"My time is up. You have a whole life ahead of you. You're going to get married, have kids, and then have grandkids. Don't mourn for me."

"I'm not leaving you here," you say.

"I'm not real," he replies. "I'm just in your head. You know that deep down." You swallow. He continues, "Let go, ___. Let go of me. Live your life."

"But I love you," you whisper. You have to cling to him just a while longer. You can't be without him.

"And I love you. It's because I love you that I'm leaving you here. Have a wonderful life. I loved you more than words can say, and I will forever love you. Take care of Hiro. Alright?"

You nod. You have got to let go. "I will," you whisper. "Wait for me there."

"I already am."

You close your eyes tightly and whisper an, "I love you," to send him off. When you open your eyes, he's gone. Instead of sadness, you feel comfort. Joy. You smile, and for the first time in weeks you feel happy. You lift the picture of you and Tadashi up and stare at it. Your fingers slide across his face. "I'll be happy for you."

You hesitantly pick up your phone. With your eyes on the picture, you say, "Honey Lemon? I'm coming. I'll meet you there in twenty."
