All my life I thought I was normal
But that was all just so I could survive
Normal is as foreign to me as love is
Do I deserve both no
I'm constantly reminded I don't deserve either
All my life I thought I was normal
His voice and mine bleed into one
Remind me how utterly worthless I am
Remind me how I'm just some fuck up
Remind me how I'm just a mistake
Will death set me free from this torment
All my life I thought I was normal
Then I listened to Trauma by rustage
The memories my brain locked away
They came flooding back to fast to much
I'm far from normal I'm abnormal
I'm fucked mentally
All my life I thought I was normal
My family life growing up was hell
For fucks sake they yelled so loud
My eardrums erupted like the shot
Of an anti-material rifle
Now I'm constantly in noise
Silence is torture for me
That tends to happen when you go deaf
All my life I thought I was normal
Lately I've been staring at my wrists
Wondering what would it feel like
To make them bleed
I keep over thinking what'll happen
On my 21st birthday
I plan on drinking but will that be
What breaks me
All my life I thought I was normal
I've been hiding my depression and pain
Since fourth fucking grade
My voice monotonous because
I'm dead inside
Now I'm just a ghost in the autumn wind
Constantly wondering what impact
If any I've had on people
All my life I thought I was normal
For better or worse
I constantly feel like it's for the worst
I'm pessimistic it's comes with the hell
I walked through to grow up
Now I'm just a traumatized
Fractured adult
Fractured like a broken mirror
That's how I felt most my life
A broken mirror was my self portrait in art
Because of my imposter syndrome
All my life I thought I was normal
