We all face a battle in life
Most cases that battle is mental health
And well you don't want to
Show up to a battle alone that's torture
Gotta make an army of a support system

Unfortunately for some the battle is just
About trying to survive a hellish situation
Those battles are difficult because you're
Usually isolated and don't know what's normal
But you can win the battle to survive
Unfortunately you're not coming out unscathed
We all face a battle in life
That's why having a good support group
Is so important they won't judge you
For being the scarred person you are because
You were battling just to survive
Yet those wounds from that battle
They're always there reminding you of hell
And sometimes those exact wounds force
You back into the battle even
Though it's long since been over
We all face a battle
The pain from them it changes you
In my case I'm cold and kill my emotions
Simple reason I was told they're a weakness
So I've become numb to emotions
I'll feel them but not its long before they die
The wounds they'll bring you back to the past
It not a matter of if but when
We all face a battle
The thing is you gotta learn how to escape
The battles of the past when
You're pulled back into them
That's easier said than done for some
Done easier then said for others
But when you know how to escape
The battles best forgotten you're free

The battles are always hard fought
But when you come out on top
There's no better feeling in the world
Then beating the battle you went through
Savior that moment you should be proud
Because not everyone can say
They've beaten their battles

So alway check in on your friends and family
Especially the happy ones they hide
The battles they're going through best
Depressed people always hide behind
A fake smile or a mask of happiness
I would know that's how I got through school
