"Typical"
It's used to describe various things
And yet its subject I wore a mask since
Fifth grade to blend in with the typical crowd
Despite knowing I didn't fit in with them
Hiding in plain site under a thin veil of happy
Waged the wars of depression and macabre
Thoughts the knowledge of how humans are
The distrust of people justified yet is it truly
Justified or is it paranoia to feel safer
It's used to describe various things
And yet I'm anything but typical a psyche
Broken from hell nightmares lurking in the
Shadows of my mind flashbacks of torment
The cliff I stand on threatens to snap from
One misstep the sea and rain of thoughts
Want me to drown in the cold void of misery
I'm a stray outcast never to belong a corpse
Being controlled by ghostly strings all
Out of the need to see those who broke
Me face the grip of death typical things no
But who am I who are we who are you just
A ghost meandering in a corpse a hollow
Husk of once was a joyful lad and yet the
Lad chose to tumble down a well left a copy
In his stead trying to figure out the world
And who the copy is yet the answer elude
Him the questions may be better left without
Answers because what happens when the
Answers you seek leave a bitter taste do
You press on despite the questions having
Been answered or did you leave with more
Confusion then what you had originally it's
Typical to never know everything and yet
We seek knowledge with little faith it'll help
Solve the mysteries in mind within the mind
It's used to describe various things
The questions bounce around the skull
The answers fade into the haze of ash
Smoke hides what shouldn't be know
Fires burn to push forward and yet
I feel stagnant even as I watch the embers
Flicker and fade just to spark again yet
There's the undercurrent for something more
But what is the more the flame demand
From someone who was misery's misfit
Just a stray outcast with blood pumping
Through their veins that feel like a curse
The blood half dead a disease needed to
Stay alive the knowledge of the sins of
The family blood its a plague one that can't
Be spread for fear of becoming like the
Demons who made us fracture to survive
Hell is welcoming when you've become numb
To the horrors around you pain becomes
Forgotten when it's all you've ever known
Death is met with open arms if it means
Escape for the misery around you yet we
Press on why do we keep limping just to
See demons get laid to rest but what then
What know what do you do when the demons
Are laid to rest yet they still haunt you their
Claws so deep they're latched to your very core
The soul broken yet fighting despite its state
Bitterness in it jaded yet keeping the body
Upright no matter how much it wants to fall
Let the pulse fade in sleep dreams of times
Unexperienced to cope with scars inflicted
It's typical in a way yet unnatural yet all I've known
It's used to describe various things
