Day 243
Wednesday 26th April 2017 20:27

I still don't know who the mystery paedo is and I am determined to find out!

I saw Debra today. Well, I went round to her chalet and knocked on her door. When she saw me stood on her doorstep she rolled her eyes. "Oh, you again," she said. "Yeah," I said, "I don't want to bother you . . ." Debra interrupted me and started to shut the door. "Bye then," she said. "No hang on," I said, "I won't be long, I promise, I just need to know more about what you said the other day." "What?" said an angry Debra. "I know you don't want to talk about it," I said, "But I'm walking around out there wondering which one of my friends is a paedophile." "Oh what a terrible burden for you," Debra sarcastically replied, "Try being the mother of a child who's been traumatised after one of your friends perpetrated abuse." I started to say something but Debra interrupted me. "Listen, Luke, or whatever your name is," she said "I killed people out there before I was found and brought here. I killed lots of people. Some I liked, some I didn't. The only thing you could kill is a conversation. So, if I killed people I liked, what do you think I'll do to people that are p*ssing me off and asking me loads of questions about when my kid, who is now dead by the way, was abused." I apologised and tried to explain things but then Debra produced a knife from her back pocket. I liked how prepared she was but I didn't doubt for a second she would use it on me. I was getting on her nerves so I backed off and told her I'd leave her alone. I can understand why she's not happy but it's frustrating for me as I've got basic information and I'm left wondering which one of my friends/acquaintances is a paedophile.

One thing that did happen today that cheered everyone up was when Dump announced that we now had access to the beach. At the back of the holiday park there are some steps that lead down to the secluded sandy area. We haven't been able to access it because of the massive wall around the complex but the soldiers and some of the other DIY residents have inserted a door into the wall so we can now make our way down to the beach. This is great! Dump gave a big, long speech via the Tannoy system about how important it was that the beach was patrolled by armed soldiers and that we stuck to the 9am/9pm curfew. I was sat on the beach with Naomi and Amelia looking out to sea. This was such a good feeling. I haven't felt like that in ages. "This is great isn't it?" said Naomi, "It's just like being on holiday." I turned round and noticed two armed soldiers behind us. "Well apart from Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum over there," I said. "Well, even with those two I still feel really relaxed," said Naomi, "It's nice to be here on a beach with Amelia surrounded by people enjoying themselves. It's just like normal life." "Well this is a bit of a change," I said. "What do you mean?" asked Naomi. "Well the other day you were saying how we need to stay vigilant and walk around with a knife on us, and now you're talking like you want to play happy families." "Well I still think we should be on our guard," said Naomi. She looked around to make sure no one was watching and secretly pulled a knife out of one of her Ugg boots. "I just think we should enjoy the beach while we can. Dump might change his mind and lock us all back up in there."

I asked Naomi what she thought of Debra. "Well I suppose she's a bit intense but she's probably been through Hell out there like we have," said Naomi. "Mia said she found her intense," I said, "I'm just wondering which one of us she was talking to when she arrived here the other day." "Yeah that was a bit weird wasn't it?" said Naomi, "She's angry with one of us." "Who do you think it is?" I asked. "Not sure," said Naomi, picking up Amelia and cuddling her, "To be honest I've got my hands full with this little one and trying to not smack Dump in the face. Anyway why are you so interested?" TJ then emerged from the sea wearing a tight pair of speedos. Naomi looked over. "You know, he's a bit of tosser but his body's not bad," she said "Are you joking?!" I exclaimed. "Well come on," said Naomi, "Most women would find that attractive." "He's got a beer belly!" I loudly said. "You've got a beer belly," said Naomi, "Anyway that's not a beer belly, it's a bit of a six pack. Fair's fair, he looks after himself." "Oh he looks after himself alright," I said, "B*llocks to everyone else as long as he's OK. Naomi, you're not telling me you seriously fancy TJ?" "No, don't be daft," said Naomi, "I'm just admiring the male physical form. Anyway, what you getting all funny for? You sound jealous. If you can lust after Esther, I can lust after TJ." "First of all," I said, "I'm not jealous of a w*nker like TJ, second of all I don't lust after Esther; that was a one off and thirdly are telling me that you actually LUST – that's LUST, after TJ?" "Oh shut up, Luke," giggled Naomi, "I'm winding you up." TJ walked over to us as he dried his hair. "Alright mother f*ckers," he said, "What's going on?" "Luke was just talking about lust," said Naomi, as she looked at me with a smile. "No I wasn't!" I said. "I bet you were," TJ said to me, "I bet you're sitting their nursing a semi looking at me in my speedos." Naomi laughed. "Actually we were just talking about Debra," said Naomi. "Christ," said TJ, looking at me, "You're obsessed." "I'm not obsessed," I said, "I just want to know which one of us she's p*ssed off with. It seems that there's always something to find out about the people we're hanging around with. Lindon likes to shag dead bodies, Trudy was a Nun and even Alex used to be an escort. One of us has done something to make Debra angry. It makes me realise there's still so much we don't know about each other. I wonder if we ever really know each other at all." "Bl**dy Hell, Luke" said Naomi, "That's a bit deep isn't it." "I bet that's what he said to Esther," laughed TJ. "It's probably the sort of thing you said to Trudy," I said. "Knock it off you two," said Naomi, "Anyway, Luke. Debra might not be angry with one of us, she might be angry with Dump or the vicar. They were in the room too. If you're that bothered, just ask her." Easier said than done, I thought to myself. Debra doesn't really like me and because the issue relates to child sex abuse it's not something you can bring up over tea.

I finished playing with Amelia, turned my head and discovered that my face was a millimetre away from TJ's wet, speedo covered crotch. I gasped and jumped back. "For f*cks sake, TJ!" I exclaimed, "Can you stand a bit further away?" "What's up gay boy?" asked TJ, "Worried your little pecker's going to see what a proper bulge should look like and end up having a panic attack?" "No!" I snapped, "I'm worried that being so close to your rancid meat might make me vomit on poor Amelia here." Naomi told me and TJ to moderate our language and behaviour around Amelia. Fair enough. I just wish I didn't let the pr*ck wind me up so much.

Later on I noticed Mary was outside the Kid's Club playing games with some of the children. I noticed Mia sat on a bench, watching from afar. I walked up and sat on the bench next to her. "Like watching the kids do you?" I asked with suspicion. "It remind me of my childhood with Mum and Dad," said Mia. She looked at me and seemed p*ssed off. "What's that face for?" I asked. "Yesterday," said Mia with a stroppy tone. "What about yesterday?" I asked. "Well you said you'd smack me in the face with a shovel," said Mia. "Is that why you walked off in a mood?" I asked. "Yes," said Mia, "I wasn't going to sit there and listen to you saying how much you wanted to assault me with gardening equipment." This was a slight light bulb moment. I thought Mia might have gone off in a mood because I was asking questions about Debra but it turns out she doesn't know her and has never met her. I feel awful for thinking she could be a paedo but at least now I can cross her off my list. The more I think about it now, it has to be the vicar or Dump. They are the only ones who could abuse a child. If Debra didn't keep herself to herself so much I might be able to find out a bit more information.
