Day 358
Saturday 19th August 2017 21:46What a bl**dy day. Mike and TJ are back but they didn't return alone!
When I woke up this morning I walked into the living room to find a young guy tied to one of the dining room chairs with a gag on his mouth. I stopped in my tracks, gasped slightly and jolted back feeling surprised and confused. I looked at the unknown young man with confusion and uncertainty. He was a young guy in his late teens. He was dressed like some sort of soldier. Special ops or something like that. He was wearing black, tight fitting clothes made out of some sort of tough looking Lycra. He looked a bit like a superhero. He had a nose bleed and a cut on his head. I then turned my head, looked right and followed the clacking sounds to see Auntie Meryl sitting on the sofa, knitting. Feeling intrigued I slowly walked further into the living room. "Errr. . . . what's going on?" I said to Auntie Meryl. She carried on clacking away with the needles and looked over at me. "I'm knitting," she casually said. "I'm not on about you knitting," I exclaimed, "Pointing over to the dining table, "I'm on about the obvious elephant in the room." "Are you calling me fat?" asked a firm Auntie Meryl, "I'll have you know I've lost weight." "I'm not calling you an elephant," I said, pointing towards the dining table, "I'm on about the big elephant over there." "What are you about?" asked an annoyed Auntie Meryl, "There's no elephant over there. How are you going to fit a big zoo animal in here? I think you're seeing things again." "I don't mean an actual elephant," I tried to emphasise, "I mean a metaphorical elephant." "Is that one of those elephants with ears bigger than the African elephants?" asked Auntie Meryl. "Oh for God's sake," I moaned, "Why is it so difficult for you to answer a simple question?" "What simple question?" asked Auntie Meryl, "You've come in here and asked me about my knitting and talking about meteorological elephants." I pointed to the young man who was tied up. "Who. Is. That. Guy. Over there. Tied. To. The. Chair?" I slowly and plainly asked Auntie Meryl. "That's Shaun," said Auntie Meryl casually as she continued knitting. "Who the f*ck is Shaun!?" I loudly said. "The lad over there sat in that chair," exclaimed Auntie Meryl, "You've just said that yourself." "Well who is he? Why is he here? Where did he come from?" I asked. "Who?" asked Auntie Meryl. "Shaun!!!" I loudly yelled, "That guy there tied to the dining room chair. Jesus Christ."At that moment TJ entered the room in his pants and t-shirt. "Where the Hell have you been?" I snapped at him, "What's going on? And who the Hell is that guy?" "That's Shaun," said TJ, casually as he sat on one of the arm chairs, "Me and Mike found him yesterday." "Well who is he exactly, what's he doing here and when did you get back?" I snapped. "Alright, chill out Nanna," said TJ, "You'll end up getting your period." "Just tell me what's going on?" I firmly said. "Well me and big brother decided we needed some bonding time," said TJ, "A lot has gone on recently so we both thought we should talk." "So you just took off in the jeep and left me here?" I said. "Mike didn't want to wake you up," said TJ, "He said you looked peaceful or some sh*t like that. Anyway we needed to be on our own. We got back late last night." "You took the jeep," I complained, "I promised Matt and the others I'd go back with food." "Oh chill out, Nanna," said TJ, "Their mate had just died. They'll have been more bothered about that." "That's not the point," I said, "I promised." "Don't go getting your tampon in a twist," said TJ, "Those sauna mourners won't have really expected you to go back." "Well God knows what they'll think of me now," I said, "I bet they see me as some lying two faced scumbag." "Well yeah," said TJ, "I suppose it does look bad when you promised you'd go back and you didn't." "You took the f*cking jeep!" I shouted, "Right that's it. I'm going back to Matt and the others right now." "Hang on," said TJ, "Don't you think we've got more important things to worry about than your hairy boyfriends?" TJ pointed over towards the tied up young man. "Like this arsehole for example," he said. "I don't know who he is," I said, "And do you know what? I don't know if I want to know. We took the p*ss out of Matt and his mates; the least we can do is keep our promise about taking them back some food." "YOUR promise," said TJ, "Not ours. Look forget about those sauna slags. Don't you want to know who this guy is and why we brought him back?" "Do you know what?" I said, going in a mood, "No I don't. I thought I did, but I don't. You and Mike brought him back here, so he's your problem not mine." I turned round feeling annoyed and started to walk away. "He's from ACROBAT," said TJ. I stopped in my tracks, frowned with curiosity and turned round to look back at TJ. "ACROBAT?" I said. "Yeah," said TJ, "Remember what Seth said. ACROBAT? The big organisation that created the virus. The ones responsible for this big worldwide outbreak. He works for them." I immediately forgot about Matt and the guys in the sauna as my interest piqued and I became incredibly intrigued.
