Day 256
Tuesday 9th May 2017 21:19

It's been a very quiet day but mysterious day.

Over the public address system in the morning Dump announced that Debra left Dumpville last night. I suppose, to me, this wasn't that much of a shock. She did say she was going to tell him she wanted to go. Dump announced that after yesterday's revelation in Triton's Debra felt she couldn't stay in Dumpville anymore and so she left. Similar to Mary, Debra did not want to make a fuss so she also left late at night. Dump then spouted his usual b*llocks about everyone enjoying Dumpville and being safe. He then said that Sergeants Reed and Matson had also left Dumpville last night with Debra, to go and look for Sergeant Dobbs. Dump said that to restore calm and order there was going to be a big street party later on this afternoon in Main Street. It felt like a bit of a white wash to me.

The whole park was talking about Roger, Mary AND Debra being child abusers. Some people think Roger should have left like Mary and Debra did and I've heard a few people say they're not surprised Debra abused her own son. "She seems the type," I heard one person say. I'm just not sure what type that is!? I'm still not a hundred percent that Dump was telling the truth and that Debra did abuse her son; however her storming out of Triton's like she did last night and now leaving without saying a word makes me think that there could potentially be some truth in the whole thing. Naomi is adamant that Dump is lying.

I managed to speak to Mia. She said sorry for having a go at me and asked me if I thought Mary really was a child abuser. I explained everything Mary had told me and Naomi and clarified that she did abuse Debra's son. "But she was so nice to me when we were with Hilary," said Mia. "I know," I said, "But just because she has sex with a fourteen year old doesn't mean she was pretending when she was looking after you when Hilary did what he did." Mia was upset that Mary had left without saying goodbye. I can see why she's upset but Mary's gone now and I doubt we'll ever see her again. I asked Mia if she was going to the street party later on. "I suppose so," she said, "But why would you have a party for a street?" No words!

In the afternoon Naomi and I spoke to Dump about what he said yesterday in Tritons. Naomi didn't hold back. She called him a manipulative control freak. I completely agreed with her but I didn't have the balls to say anything. "You're already in my bad books little lady," said Dump, "If you keep on pushing my buttons I might just send you away." Naomi and I gasped. "Are you saying you sent Debra away?" asked Naomi. "That's not what I said," said Dump, "I'm simply saying that if I think is anyone disrupting my routine I have the authority to arrange for their removal from Dumpville." Naomi and I exchanged looks of concern. "I didn't send Debra away," said Dump, "She asked to leave; and after all the trouble she caused I was glad to see the back of her." "I suppose she did ask to leave," I said. "She wouldn't leave without saying bye," exclaimed Naomi. "Mary did," said Dump, "And after I told everyone that Debra also abused her own son, I'm not surprised she wanted the leave. The shame was probably too much for her to cope with." "Rubbish," said Naomi, "I don't believe for a second she abused her own son." "Are you calling me a liar?" asked Dump in an intimidating tone. "Yes I am," snapped Naomi, "And I'd like to call you a whole lot more." "Well let's examine the evidence," said Dump, "Debra publicly accuses me of concealing the fact that Mary had sex with her son, but fails to say the reason I did that was because a) she also abused her son and b) she convinced me both she and Mary were not a risk to children. When this is revealed, Debra doesn't defend herself or address my comments, she runs off. Then she hides from everyone and leaves Dumpville when you're all asleep. Just like Mary did. Two words; guilty conscious." "One word," says Naomi, "B*llocks." "Really?" said Dump, "Well you're the only one who thinks so. If Debra thought Mary was such a risk to children why didn't she tell everyone and convince me that she was dangerous." Naomi squirmed. Dump was being a clever little sod and there was nothing Naomi could say. "Everything is fine now. The residents are happy, we're having a street party later on," said Dump, "There's nothing to worry about and there's no need to continue discussing this matter anymore." Dump had well and truly shut Naomi up. She wasn't happy about it and she stormed out in huff.

Later on we were all at the street party. It was like the last few days hadn't happened. People were laughing, singing and dancing; bunting was being draped across the lampposts, the kids were playing egg and spoon races and others were enjoying a joke as they had a drink of wine and a fresh slice of cake. "Look at this place," said Naomi, "Back to being camels with their head in the sand. No wonder Dump can manipulate people so easily. It's like herding sheep. Oh, and thanks for stepping in and helping me out." "Oh come Naomi," I said, "Dump played you like a fiddle and you know it. What was I supposed to do? I know he's an arsehole but let's just be glad things have calmed down." "They haven't calmed down though, have they?" said Naomi, "This is all a white wash. Do you really think one Street party's going to make everyone forget what an arsehole Dump is? It won't make me forget." I could understand Naomi's frustration but at that moment there wasn't anything we could do. I was just glad to relax, enjoy the party and get back to some sort of sense of normality.

As we all continued to enjoy the party, Sophie came running over to me and gave me a hug. "You promised to take me to the beach," she said. "I did, didn't I," I said, "Well if your Mum and Dad say it's OK, I'll take you to the beach tomorrow." Sophie smiled and ran off to play with the other kids. John then walked up to me. "She's crazy about you," he said, "She hasn't stopped talking about you." "Well she's a cute kid," I said, "I'm going to take her to the beach tomorrow if that's OK?" John nodded. "Actually I think I'll join you if you don't mind," he said, "I've got a proposition to put to you." "A proposition?" I said, "Sounds ominous. Can't you tell me now?" "No," said John in a serious tone, "There's too many people around here. It's quieter on the beach. Don't tell anyone. I'll see you tomorrow." John walked off leaving me feeling intrigued. I turned round to see Troy looking at me with a ridiculously over the top look on his face. "What's that face for?" I bluntly asked. "I heard that," he said, "He wants to proposition you on the beach. He wants to bum you!" "That's not what he meant you deaf fairy," I said, "You shouldn't be earwigging. Anyway you were married to a woman whilst you were shagging a bloke." "That was very different," said Troy, "What do you think he wants to talk to you about?" "I don't bl**dy know do I?" I said, "I suppose I'll find out tomorrow. You just make sure you keep your mouth shut. I mean it, Troy, John doesn't want anyone to know, so don't say a word." Troy put his finger on his lips. "Unlike Trudy's, my lips, are sealed," he said.

It's a nice feeling not having the meat head sergeants marching around like they own the place. There are still armed soldiers everywhere but even they seem happier without the bossy sergeants around. This might sound horrible but I'm not sure if I want Reed, Dobbs and Matson to come back. There seems to be a better vibe without them.
