Day 330
Saturday 22nd July 2017 18:57Bit of a boring but also suspicious day.
Dump is still here, which is a bit strange. I asked why he hasn't buggered off yet and he said he is struggling to say goodbye and detach himself from the place. I don't believe a word that bit fat orange at*ehole says. I am certain he's up to something. The good thing is that he hasn't got the car keys yet. I've told them I'll give them to him when he's ready to leave, that way I'll know he's definitely off.
Trudy asked me why he was still here. I told her what he said to me and she had a right go at me. It's not my bl**dy fault that the overweight orange oaf is still hanging around. I want him to go as much as everyone else. Her having a go at me isn't going to help.
Mike and I went out on a run. We each took a car and it was one of the most straight forward runs I've ever been out on. We only saw a couple of infected and Mike rammed them off the road without any problems. We found a massive cash n carry and it was completely abandoned. No people, no infected, just a massive building full of food, water and supplies. It was a bit creepy being in there walking down the aisles through the eerie atmosphere. It was deathly silent and even though the whole place had clearly been looted by people before me and Mike arrived, we were the only ones in there for about an hour and half and we crammed both of the cars full of food, water, supplies and diesel! We were both so chuffed with ourselves.
When we arrived back at Dumpville Mike and I were greeted like heroes, by most people anyway. "Well how long do you think this lot's going to last?" sniped Troy, "This will all be gone in a couple of weeks." "Better to be gone in a couple of weeks than a couple of hours eh, Troy?" I said. B*tchy little queen. We stored a lot of the food and supplies in the storage units and used all of the diesel for topping up the generators.
Mike gave me a hug and told me what a great team we made. It felt a bit weird but he had a pretty good point. The pressure isn't on as much as it was this time yesterday and now that the generator is back up and working I can have a shower before going to bed. I haven't felt this positive in a long time. I really hope Dump goes tomorrow. Having him around is starting to feel VERY weird and I'm starting to get really angry, but he won't ruin my good mood at the moment. Right now I'm enjoying this really positive feeling. It's good to know there's a bit of food in the storage units and that if we are going to starve to death it will take a longer than previously thought.
