Day 280
Friday 2nd June 2017 23:47

Dump is still our leader. I'm pretty annoyed about it and he has said some things today that have really p*ssed me, DeShawn and Naomi off but right now I'm in bed feeling happy. DeShawn did something that not only cheered us all up but also made that d*ckhead Dump feel really uncomfortable.

We were all summoned to Triton's late in the morning where John gathered Dump and Mia on stage. He said that Dump had won the election as he received most of the votes. Mia looked really sad and p*ssed off. Dump gave her a hug and kissed her on the cheek which she clearly didn't like. When John announced that Dump had won the election a few people clapped, but not many. This made me wonder who actually voted for him. Dump took centre stage and gave a big speech. "Fellow residents of Dumpville," he announced, "This truly is democracy in action. I am delighted that you have elected me to continue to be your leader. I am going to implement all of the new procedures I have promised. Some of the soldiers will be teaching all of those who are interested, how to safely use weapons tomorrow afternoon. This will include how to not only use sharp knives but also firearms. Please note that once the lessons are over all weapons will be locked away in the armoury." This caused the crowds to get very rowdy. "You what?!" yelled Naomi, "That's stupid. What's the point in teaching people to use guns if we can't get to them when we need them?!" "You have voted me as your leader," said Dump, "And these are the decisions I have made to keep you safe." "I haven't f*cking voted for you!" shouted Naomi, "You big, fat orange b*stard!" I walked up to Naomi and subtly told her to be quiet as I noticed the soldiers at the back of the room looking at her. "I will also be ensuring that all those who can't drive, and want to drive, will be given lessons," announced Dump, "The cars will be kept separate to the main part of Dumpville and stored under lock and key when they are not in use, similar to how the weapons will be." "We want to be able to leave when we want!" another voice shouted. "Residents can leave whenever they choose," announced Dump, "You just need to speak to me or Sergeant Reed. If you would like to leave Dumpville and return, I will ensure a soldier accompanies you to keep you safe. In fact, Sergeant Reed and one of his soldiers will be going out on a run for food tomorrow. They may be gone for a few days but if anyone wants to go with them please speak to me or Sergeant Reed. I will also be, as promised, setting up a council. More details on that will follow later. I am keen to make sure we all live here together in a happy, healthy and most importantly, safe manner." Naomi looked angry. "I can't listen to any more of this," she quietly snapped, "This place is a joke." Just as she was about to storm out Dump said something which infuriated me. "We have lots of plans to make for the future of Dumpville," he announced, "And I am ready for this challenge, however I would like to start my renewed leadership by being completely honest." My interest piqued. This'll be interesting I thought. Dump said that Esther didn't only try to rig the election, he said that she also admitted to being the person who attacked the soldier and stole his machine gun. This made me feel really angry. It was DeShawn and Naomi who were involved in that particular bit of drama, not Esther; she knew nothing about it and I was furious that she was being blamed. DeShawn, Naomi and I exchanged shocked and angry looks. Dump was obviously blaming Esther because he'd heard the rumours about people thinking he'd pressured me to drop out of the election and forced Esther to leave. What a sly b*stard! "Not only did Esther try to fix the election to make it so she won," announced Dump, "But when I confronted her about this, she confessed to attacking one of my soldiers, knocking him unconscious and stealing his gun. Esther was going to hold me at gunpoint and force me to drop out of the election. She told me she threw the gun into the sea because she'd had second thoughts. I told you all that I gave her the choice to stay or leave. I lied. I apologise. After her admission of guilt I had no choice but to make Esther leave." This caused lots of heated discussion with many people saying rather negative comments about Esther. I just couldn't bite my tongue so after talking with Naomi and DeShawn the three of us marched round to Dump's office.
