Day 274
Saturday 27th May 2017 22:46

What a day! I'm exhausted. I'm feeling so angry. This place is a joke and Dump is a lot slyer and a lot more dangerous than I thought!

Naomi, DeShawn and I met at my chalet this morning. I told them I wanted the machine gun out of my chalet and that I didn't feel comfortable about having it in my home. Just as Naomi started to explain how we were going to frame Dump and make it look like he was going to shoot Debra there was a loud Tannoy announcement. It was Dump. "Fellow residents of Dumpville," he announced, "This is your leader, Ronald Dump, speaking. I have a very serious and important announcement to make. Please make your way to Triton's immediately." DeShawn, Naomi and I exchanged curious looks. "An important announcement?" asked Naomi, "What's he on about?" "Well I guess there's only one way of finding out," said DeShawn.

All of the residents made their way to the Triton's, asking each other what they thought was going on en route. We all once again gathered together in Triton's when Dump appeared on stage. Sergeant Reed was stood not far behind him. "Fellow residents of Dumpville," said Dump, "There has been rather a lot of unrest recently and sadly I am here with some sad news." There was a slight, dramatic, pause. We all waited with bated breath. "As you know, Sergeant Reed has returned to Dumpville along with Debra Meikle who recently departed. In line with Dumpville procedures we have quarantined Debra but in the early hours of this morning Debra's body was found in her chalet." Everyone gasped. Naomi, DeShawn and I exchanged shocked expressions as our mouths fell open. "Debra committed suicide by hanging herself in her chalet," said Dump, "I can only assume that the shame of being around people who know she abused her son was too much for her to bear and that she saw suicide as the only way out. I know there are mixed views and feelings towards Debra, so those who decide to attend her funeral, can do so tomorrow morning. This is particularly sad as Sergeant Reed has reported that Sergeants Matson and Dobbs were also killed outside Dumpville." "I don't believe this," Naomi whispered angrily. "I can't believe she's dead," I said, "Why would she kill herself? You said she was going to help us with our plan to frame Dump?" "Well we can't go ahead with our plan now can we?" said DeShawn. "There's no way she killed herself," Naomi whispered, "Dump got to her first." The crowd started being rowdy, so Dump loudly told them all to be quiet. "I also have further upsetting news to share with you," said Dump, "Last night one of the soldiers was attacked and knocked unconscious." Naomi, DeShawn and I glanced at each other, guiltily. "Our soldier is fine and well but with a slight head injury," continued Dump, "It appears that he was attacked so someone could steal his gun. As I'm sure most of you know the soldiers searched Dumpville last night to locate the missing machine gun but unfortunately, it has not yet been found. The search will continue but I urge the attacker to come forward and he will be dealt with leniently. Anyone who knows where the machine gun is should come forward and speak with me. This is very serious. I will not tolerate soldiers being attacked and firearms being stolen and hidden. On one final and more positive note I have great pleasure in announcing that Sergeant Reed has returned with Malcolm Moor, a qualified Doctor." The crowds seemed happy at this and some of them started clapping. "This means Trudy will have the appropriate medical help when she goes into labour. This also means we now have a medical expert on site for all. I am very aware that our food is running low so Sergeant Reed and I will discussing this and informing you of what we'll be doing to tackle this at a later stage." Dump left the stage leaving residents feeling a mixture of emotions. Naomi was angry. "That's it" she snapped, "I've had enough of all this game playing. I'm having it out with Dump right now!" Naomi stormed off. DeShawn and I exchanged worried looks and ran after her.

Naomi was in a furious mood. She stormed to the front of the stage area and followed Dump back stage. He was stood talking to Sergeant Reed. "You arrogant b*stard!" she loudly snapped at him, "What the Hell do you think you're playing at?!" DeShawn and I appeared and tried to calm Naomi down but she ignored us. Dump gave Naomi a smug smile and he then looked at Reed. "Sergeant Reed," he said, "Could you go and wait for me in my office? I need to have a little chat with Naomi and co here." Dump waited for Reed to leave then stood up and walked right up to Naomi. He smugly smiled at here whilst looking at her directly in the eye. He seemed very threatening. "Now you listen to me, madam," snapped Dump, "I am in charge here and I am sick and tired of you and your little friends causing me trouble. I could snap you; I could snap you AND your pathetic little cohort of followers like twigs whenever I want, and the more you p*ss me off, the more likely I am to break you." Naomi, DeShawn and I looked shocked. "You can't talk to me like that," said an outraged Naomi. "You stupid little girl," said Dump, "I own you. I own the lot of you. I can talk to you however I want. This place is mine. MINE!" "You're a disgrace," said Naomi, "This isn't the start of a civilised society, it's the start of uncivilised dictatorship." Dump smiled. "Cry. Me. A. F*cking. River," said Dump. "You're disgusting," said Naomi, "And you're a liar. There's no way Debra killed herself, no way." "Oh really?" said Dump, "And what makes you say that? Have you seen Debra? Maybe you attacked the soldier, took his keys and got into the chalet to see Debra. Maybe that's how you know she wasn't suicidal; and you're right of course. She wasn't suicidal. She was full of fire before she died." Dump seemed spookily confident and extremely controlling. I noticed Naomi's mouth fall open as she looked shocked but also scared. "Did you kill her?" Naomi quietly and tentatively said. Dump maintained his unnerving demeanour and sinister smile. I was stood there, frozen to the spot with my mouth open and my heart beating. I was anxiously waiting for Dump to respond. After a dramatic pause, Dump smiled and simply said "Yes." I was absolutely shocked and to be honest a little bit scared. I know Dump's a narrow minded, manipulative control freak but I didn't think he was murderer. "I'm always one step ahead of you," said Dump, "I know you got to Debra, and I know you've got the machine gun." "How do you know?" asked DeShawn. "I just know," said Dump. "You don't know anything," Naomi said to Dump, "You've no proof. You lied about Debra abusing her son. You just said all that to make yourself look good. My God! You'll go to any lengths to stay in control." "I AM in control," said Dump. "Not for long," said Naomi, "Luke's going to wipe the floor with you in this election. You won't be leader for long. Especially when we tell everyone that you killed Debra and made it look like suicide." "Deluded," said Dump, "Do you think people are going to vote for a man who sh*ts himself on stage?" "Yes!" snapped Naomi, "Especially when we tell them that you murdered Debra!" "And do you think people will believe you?" asked Dump, "You've also got no proof." "I don't care!" Naomi snapped loudly as she started to walk away, "I'm telling everyone what you did to Debra!" "They won't believe you," said Dump, calmly, "Why would anyone believe an unstable woman who lies about having a daughter?" Naomi stopped in her tracks, froze to the spot for a second and then turned and looked at Dump. "What?" she said. "Oh yes," said Dump, "I know more about you and your friends than you realise. I know that little baby girl isn't your baby; I know your pregnant friend pretended to be a Nun and killed an actual Nun and I know the big black guy here is a big tranny. I know about your pervy friend having sex with dead bodies too." Dump then looked at me. "And I know about you and TJ sending Mike away." "Who the Hell has told you all this?" asked an angry Naomi. "Like I said," said Dump with a smirk, "I'm always going to be one step ahead of you." "If you know all of this why haven't you said anything before?" asked DeShawn. "Because I'm clever," said Dump, "You lot are trouble, so I use what I need to use, when I need to use it, just like I used Esther's abortion and Luke's brutal murder of two innocent adults and a small child when I needed to." "It's not as black and white as you're making out," I said, "I had to kill Robbie, he was infected." "And what about the married couple?" asked Dump, "I heard you'd gone a bit mad." "My God, you're a b*stard," said Naomi. "I'm a leader," Dump said to Naomi, "A clever leader. Like I said, I use what I need to use, when I need to use it, and I have no problem in using the fact that you're not Amelia's real Mum." Naomi frowned and went to slap Dump hard across the face but he grabbed her wrist just before her hand made contact with his face. "Don't make me any angrier than I already am little girl," he said, "I might start confiscating property that's not rightfully yours, including that baby." Naomi looked angry and upset and took a step back. Dump had us over a barrel. He'd already made me look like some mad, unstable killer and he was going to make Naomi and DeShawn look unstable too if we continued to p*ss him off. "Now then," said Dump, with a smile on his face, "I'm going to go home and spend some time with my lovely wife and do a bit of planning for the next Q&A debate. I've got an election to win." Dump casually left, leaving DeShawn, Naomi and I in state of absolute shock. "He killed Debra" I said in horror as a cold shiver ran down my back. "We need to get out of here," said a worried and frantic Naomi, "We need to leave. We need to leave right now." "Let's just calm down for a second," said DeShawn. "Calm down!" Naomi loudly exclaimed, "He knows everything about us, he could use it whenever he wants. I don't feel safe. He's killed Debra, he could take Amelia whenever he wants. I want to leave!" "Where are you going to go?" asked DeShawn, "I know you're angry and I know you're scared but just think about it. You've got nowhere to go, you've hardly any weapons, you don't have a car and you've got a baby in tow. I know you want to leave but let's just think about this for a bit." As DeShawn and Naomi continued to talk, a sudden sense of horrible realisation came over me. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped open as I had just thought of something. "SHUT UP!" I shouted at DeShawn and Naomi, "Think! What do you think he meant by confiscating property? He just said on stage that the search for the gun is going to continue and he's just told us he knows we've got the gun." Silence fell as panic came over us. The three of us quickly left the building and started running back to my chalet. If the soldiers were continuing the search and they found the gun under my bed, my head would be on the block.

As the three of us ran to my chalet, I was relieved to see that the machine gun was still under my bed. DeShawn picked it up. "Right," he said, "We have two choices; we either hide it or we get rid of it." "We need to get rid of it," I said, "They didn't look properly in here so they're bound to come back." "Let's chuck into the sea," said Naomi. "Great idea," said DeShawn. "Hang on," I said, "How are we going to get it from here to the beach to dispose of it without being seen?" Naomi suggested that she put Amelia in her pram, hide the gun underneath her (but obviously take the bullets out first so Amelia wouldn't get hurt) and casually stroll down to the beach with Amelia and chuck the gun into the sea when no one was looking. "That sounds like a good idea but they'll be watching us won't they?" I said, "Dump and Reed will have told the soldiers to keep an eye on us." "I've got an idea," said DeShawn, "Naomi, you get the gun to the beach and chuck into the sea. If Luke and I behave suspiciously, the soldiers will be looking at us, not you." We discussed the idea a bit more and then executed a brilliant plan.

Later on, Naomi casually made her way to the beach with Amelia and the concealed machine gun in the pram. At the same time, DeShawn and I left my chalet, each holding a bin bag filled with rubbish. As we left my chalet DeShawn and I purposely behaved suspicious, adopted guilty expressions and started looking round corners and behind our shoulders. We wanted the soldiers to think we were discreetly trying to get rid of the machine gun. The plan worked. The two soldiers who saw Naomi slap me last night came up to me and DeShawn and pointed their guns at us. "Whoa, calm down!" I exclaimed, "What you doing pointing guns at us?" "Open them up," one of the soldiers said, "We want to look in them." "You want to look in our bags of rubbish?" asked DeShawn. The plan was working perfectly. While the soldiers were spending time with me and DeShawn, they were leaving Naomi alone, who was throwing the machine gun in the sea. "Just open the f*cking bags," the other soldier said. DeShawn and I untied the bin bags and one of the soldiers rummaged through the rubbish whilst the other pointed his gun at us. The soldier who rummaged through the bin bags eventually stopped and looked up at me and DeShawn. "OK," he said, "Where is it?" "Where's what?" asked DeShawn. "Don't play games," said the soldier, "Where's the machine gun?" "Machine gun?" I said, "We don't have a machine gun. This is just our rubbish." "There's a rumour going around here that it's your fault our mate was knocked unconscious and that you stole his gun. We don't take kindly to that," said the other soldier. "That had nothing to do with us," said DeShawn, "Like Luke says, this is just our rubbish. You can see that for yourself." The two soldiers gave each other a frustrated look then looked back at me and DeShawn. "Be on your way," one of the soldiers said as he ushered us along. DeShawn and I left feeling very smug.

Naomi has managed to throw the machine gun in the sea so that's a victory for us but now I'm left feeling unnerved that the current leader of this place is a murdering, sly, manipulative dictator and that someone who I think is a friend has told Dump all of our secrets. I really want to tell everyone what Dump is really like but he's made it look like I'm a right insecure, unstable murderer. I want to know who's opened their big mouth and I need to have a re-think about whether there's any point in me running in this election. I know Naomi was really angry earlier on but maybe it's time to consider leaving this place.
