Day 383
Wednesday 13th September 2017 23:56

I'm sat here feeling really nervous. Naomi and some of the others left Kwik Fit this morning on a mission to go and get Seth back from the ACROBAT base and they haven't returned. I shouldn't be surprised. Whenever I've gone out somewhere I've ended up being kidnapped, getting lost, getting knocked unconscious or falling off a bl**dy cliff. This hasn't stopped me from pacing up and down and looking out of the windows though, hoping to see everyone coming back.

Naomi left for the ACROBAT base this morning with Matt after convincing him to dress up as an ACROBAT agent and make out that he'd captured her. Mike and Mary left in Panda's jeep and said they'd park in some nearby bushes while Matt and Naomi got on the base. Mary told Matt to run up to the main entrance, attract the attention of other ACROBAT personnel and get on to the base with Naomi who was going to pretend to be unconscious. "I reckon he should shave his beard off," said Trudy, "He'll stand out like a sore thumb. How many soldiers will they have with a shaved head and a big bushy beard?" "Sorry, love," said Matt, "I'm not shaving off my beard. It's my crowning glory." "If you call me, 'love' once more I'll kick you so hard in the b*llocks you'll be able to taste it," snapped Trudy. Naomi picked up a nearby dark scarf and handed it to Matt. "Here," she said, "You can wear this and cover the bottom half of your face. Now let's get going. Mike can drop us off half a mile or so away from the base and we can walk from there. Mike, Mary – make sure you park the jeep in the bushes but don't be too far away in case we run into trouble." "I don't like this," I said, "It's too dangerous." "Of course it is," said Naomi, "But we've got to try haven't we. We need to get Seth back and we need to get to City One. Anyway you can't come, what with your broken arm. Try not to worry. We'll be back later on tonight." "Famous last words," said TJ. "Oh, so are you going to come then?" Naomi said, challenging TJ. "No way," said TJ, "I'm staying here." "Right well shut the f*ck up then," snapped Naomi.

Mike didn't want to leave me but I told him that we'd be OK and that he'd be more use to Naomi, Matt and Mary. We all exchanged our goodbyes and watched with heavy hearts as the four of them left for the ACROBAT base. I noticed the uncertain and anxious look on Matt's face. "I hope they'll be OK," I said to TJ, "Matt looks a bit scared." "Course he's scared," said Trudy, "You've dressed him as a soldier and sent him off on some undercover mission to rescue a bloke he doesn't know and has never met, from an army of trained psychos, who created this virus  and are armed with machine guns. The sh*t will be coming out of his arsehole and dribbling down his leg quicker than you can say 'colostomy bag'. There'll be more poo than Matt in that PVC jump suit."

I spoke to Courtney today and asked her about what happened with her and Naomi. "I don't want to talk about it," she said in a sulk. "You can't just stand by and watch someone hanging off a cliff," I said. "It wasn't like that," said Courtney. "She needed your help, Courtney," I said, "You just stood there and watched." "Are you deaf?" snapped Courtney, in a strop, "I've just told you, it wasn't like that." "Well what was it like?" I asked. "I don't know," said Courtney, in a mood, "I suppose I just froze. I didn't know what to do. Stop going on about it." "Stop going on about it!?" I exclaimed, "Courtney, Naomi could have died." "Yeah but she didn't did she?" snapped Courtney, "Mike saved her." "No thanks to you," I said. "How do you know, you weren't even there." "I spoke to Naomi," I said. "So," said Courtney, "There's two sides to every story." "Well tell me yours," I said. "I don't want to," said a stroppy Courtney. "Oh for God's sake," I snapped, "Will you grow up and stop acting like a stupid little child." Courtney jumped to her feet and looked me straight in the face with an angry expression. "Well if you lot stopped treating me like a stupid little child maybe I wouldn't act like one!" snapped Courtney, "I'm sick of being treated like a stupid kid. Fetch the water, cook the food, run here, go there, do this, do that. That's all you lot think I'm good for. I'm sick of it!" "What are you on about?" I said, "We all pull our weight and pitch in, it's not just you." "It's more me than anyone else," snapped Courtney, "That bossy b*tch Naomi gave Sophie back to that psycho and ever since we've met she's done nothing but give me daggers. When she was hanging off that cliff I just wondered what it might be like if she wasn't here. That's all. I'm not saying I'd have let her die. I'm just saying . . . Oh I don't know what I'm saying. I just froze. Oh just f*ck off." Courtney stormed off leaving me feeling concerned. I think we need to keep an eye on her.

I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight. I'm really worried about the others. I hope they manage to come back soon with Seth.
