The next day we go to the zoo and Zola and I hold hands tight as we look around. Dad gives us our passes and the rules.

I laugh and we keep looking at the animals until we get hungry. We go towards dad.

He takes me on his shoulders while taking Zola on his arms. We laugh as he goes to the food stand. I ask for a salad and Zola asks for a hot dog.
Zola POV
We eat our lunch with uncle Karma at the zoo and I try to hurry.
Ka-Slow down, we don't want you to choke.

S-So, which animal do you like the most so far?
B-I like the birds. They remind me of aunt Karai.
Ka-You used to play with her wings all the time.
-I like the snakes but we have yet to see the cats and the dogs. Maybe I like them more.
Ka-What about the fish, reptiles and amphibians?
Both Beatrice and I shiver at the mention of those. Uncle laughs happy and then he take us to see the last animals and I want to pet them.

I sigh but stick to watching them from where I am. Beatrice falls asleep on his arms and I keep watching the animals. We see the tigers and the lions and as uncle sits down to rest Beatrice in a different position I devise a plan. I wait until he's distracted and I get close to the door and wait for it to open. It does and I slip inside hurriedly. I take care no one sees me and I slip by the bushes towards the tigers. I start petting them and they come around me playfully. I smile as they talk to me. I talk back to them and they play around with me a lot until I climb on the back of one of them and use it as a horsie. He walks and I rest on his back enjoying the warmth and strength of his and I pass my hands along his fur playfully and I get sleepy but snap to attention when someone calls my name.
Ka-ZOLA!!!
I ask the tiger to put me down and he does and I go to the window and look at uncle smiling innocently. He looks angry. After a moment a zookeeper takes me and I struggle a bit and of the tigers comes to attack but I calm them both down. I pet the tiger nicely and I laugh as I scratch his ears and he twists in place enjoying himself a lot. I give him a kiss goodbye and he sits looking at me go. As soon as I'm out the door I'm being hugged by uncle Karma.
Ka-Don't scare me like that ever again. Why you go there? How did you got inside? Gods Zola, you got me so worried.
-Sorry. I just wanted to pet them. They didn't hurt me.
Ka-Are you sure?
-They asked me to play with them. I just wanted to pet them and I had fun.

I nod and he looks at the tigers. He takes me up on his arms and we turn to go home. He makes a stop on the gift shop and he buys me a couple toys and an outfit. He also gets some for Beatrice and as we go home I fall asleep on the backseat shortly after Beatrice does.
Karai POV
I am working some paperwork to deliver to the gods and making my report to Zeus. The most horrible part of my job.
-The monsters are not doing anything bad or causing trouble, everyone is keeping their distance from each other. The demigods are practically the same having one party here and there. Nothing serious por that we need to intervene. Lower gods are working and there are some natural disasters happening but thankfully none are too serious. They are happening frequently but not dangerously.
Z-How are the things for Ares? Any progress finding his reincarnation.
-No such luck. We will have to wait and see.
Z-Hades, take care of that personally as soon as possible.

He dismisses all of us and we go back home. When we get there we see that Karma and Stella are there as well as Beatrice and Zola. He's cooking dinner and the girls are looking at him closely.
Ha-We didn't expect you to be here today.
Ka-Hi dad. Girls say hi.
They turn to look at us and then they look at each other and nod smiling.
B & Z-Hi.
They take him by his hands to the garden.
Z-Look and listen to this.
Zola whistles in a way and then she gets a response. She repeats it a couple times before a bird comes to her finger and a hawk on dad's shoulder.

The birds fly away and they come back inside. Karma serves the food and as we eat the girls talk between themselves in whispers. After a bit they get under the table and I hear them giggle. Then they laugh a bit harder. Dad turns a bit frozen before he smiles.
Hades POV
I am eating dinner with some of my family and I look at my phone when I feel something on my legs. I am alarmed for a moment but when I realize is the girls I smile. I turn to look under the table and they smile at me.
-What are you doing?
Z-We're holding you down.
B-You're our prisoner now.
I laugh at their cuteness.
-Are you coming out now or do I have to get you out myself.
They look at each other and nod letting me go. I smile and they come out from both sides of me and then they turn to hug me.
-Spit it out, what do you want?
B-I want a huge teddy bear, bigger than you.
-And you, what do you want?
Z-A book. I want a whole library all to myself.
-Don't you have a whole library at your home?
Z-Those are mom's books. I want one that is all for me and only me. Pretty please.
She makes puppy eyes at me and I let out a sigh.

-Then I'll get you an entire building just for you. Both of you.
They hug me tighter getting the breath out of me and I tap their backs each.
-Ok, that's enough, go play around you two.
They each give me a kiss on each cheek before they run away to play together. I let out a sigh rubbing my chest.

Ka-Maybe they broke a bone or some organs. Do check.
K-Are you training Beatrice?
Ka-Not necessary, she's the one that wakes me up to go train with her.
He-Really?
Ka-Is pretty exhausting. She has the energy of an entire army when she wakes up. Especially when she wakes up early.

Ten years later
Karma POV
I'm having dinner with my wife and my daughters.
B-This is good. Who cooked? You or mom?

I get in my room and hang up my phone. I throw my purse on the bed and recline against the door. I lock it and I turn to the giant teddy bear grandpa got me when I was a kid still. I throw punches to the floor and I feel tears welling at my eyes and I get them out. I get my iPod and put the music to the loudest on the ear buds. I fall asleep on top of the bear relaxing truly.
Nova POV
I watch as Zola comes back and as she turns to her room I ask her.
-I thought you were going to the movies with Beatrice.
Z-Something came up. She sounded mad so I just told her it was fine.
-I think I know why she cancelled. Is either her sister or she got sick.
Z-Well, either way, is not happening so I better go to sleep. I have training with her tomorrow. Hope she's in a better mood when she wakes up.
