Darcy POV
A few days later we are back home and as we all go to sleep I turn to my bedroom. I hear a knock on my window close to midnight and I see the boy I like there. He waves smiling at me and I open the window for him. He enters giving me a kiss.
Guy-Hey. You ready?
-So ready. Come on, let's go.
With that I sneak out the window and go with him for the night.
Karai POV
I am on the office fixing some paperwork when I hear a knock on the door. I go open but I don't see anyone there but a bunch of flowers instead. I check but I don't see anyone. I look at them and I think that dad send them so I could relax a bit. I get them inside and go back to work. Not long after I'm falling asleep but I fight the urge to sleep by standing and turning to the bookshelf. I take a wrong step and I fall on the floor and just as my feet are not touching the floor I lose the battle and fall asleep in the floor.
The next time I wake up I am on my room and I get up stretching all my limbs and cracking my bones. I am getting ready for another day when I catch a glimpse of the time. I am so late right now. I dash out of my room to get a fast breakfast and I double check if I have everything and as I confirm everything I fly to dad's office to help him work. I land out and as I hold the door I fold my wings behind me I open the door.
Ha-Morning.
-Morning.
Ha-Slept well?
-Why didn't you woke me up?
Ha-I just got you to bed and you looked so peaceful and happy I just couldn't disturb you.
I laugh and I sit on my desk. I open my laptop and I turn to him.
-By the way, thanks.
Ha-What for?
-The gift you sent last night. I like it.
Ha-Gift? I didn't send you anything. I was sleeping yesterday.
I think about it.
-Who would send me something? Well, maybe it was a mistake.
Ha-Or not. Where are they?
-My room.
He nods and we go back to work. By the end of the day we are still working and I stretch and go get a drink for both of us. As I give him his there is a knock on the door.
Ha-Come in.
Agent-Lady Karai?
-Yes.
He turns to his pockets and he hands me a little box.
Agent-Someone send this for you.
-Who?
Agent-It was just left there. No note, no one, nothing. It only said it was for you.
I sigh and I take the box from him. I dismiss him and as he goes away dad talks.
Ha-Now we can say it was no mistake.
-But from whom?
I open the box and see a ring and a necklace with my favorite gemstones and a message.
-For my angel for you are the sun of my days and the moon of my nights.
Ha-That is so romantic.
I make a face at him and he laughs before we go to work. I try to focus but my thoughts always go back to the flowers and the little box with the note inside. I think of my first and only love and I can't help a smile to spread across my face. I rest my face on my closed fist and get lost in thought. Hydra, my Hydra. I wonder, what are you doing right now? What would you say if I kissed you? Would you kiss me back or would you push me away? I sigh not wanting to think more about that.
Ha-Back already? The way you smiled I thought you were going to fall asleep like that.
-I have no idea what you're talking about.
He fakes a yes sure sound and we go back to work. Close to night we go back home and go to sleep.
The next morning as we eat breakfast someone knocks at the door and dad goes open it. I hear dad as he comes back but I don't turn. He laughs before he speaks up and I freeze in place.
Ha-It compared her to the moon. Compared her to the sun. But they could never touch, so the stars and clouds whispered, passing along their messages and the ocean was their witness. Witness of an affair across the sky.
He puts a hand on my shoulder and I get another bite to avoid saying something stupid. He laughs and he gives me the bouquet of gardenias.
-Gardenias. Hmm. Touche.
He-What's his name?
-I don't know.
Ha-She has a secret admirer.
-I would like to know who it is. That way I know who to beat up.
He-Why? I think that's romantic. Very poetic too.
Ha-Now now, we don't want a random guy to just sweet talk her.
-Jealous much?
He takes a bite of his breakfast and I laugh.
-Don't worry, nobody will sweet talk me out of here or away from you.
I hug him childishly and he laughs a bit before he pats me on the head and I smile pleased. I love when he pats or pets me on the head.
Nova POV
I wake up late feeling lazy. I don't want to get up from bed. I hear some beautiful singing and I get up from bed leaving Chimera behind and I follow the voice to the indoor garden. I see Zola singing while caressing some flowers.
I stay silent and still enjoying her singing. When she finishes I put my hand on her shoulder. She looks at me a bit more shy than usual.
Z-How long you been standing there?
-Enough. How do you know that song?
Z-You sing on your sleep but you only sing this one. You never did awake so I thought of looking the script for it but then I realized there was none. So I stayed with you an entire night listening to the song and I memorized it. I was going to write it down for you but I wanted to try it first.
-You have an amazing voice.
Z-Thanks. I like to sing when I'm bored or have nothing else to do.
We laugh together before we turn again to the flowers taking care of them.
Darcy POV
I am having breakfast with my sister and I tell her about the guy I like.
-He is so good. And handsome too.
B-You have to ask dad when he comes back.
-Do you think he'll let me have a boyfriend?
B-I never wanted one so I don't know but I know he is super protective of you.
-He thinks I'm weak and just because I don't have an aura like you or he does.
Beatrice turns sad at that and I rush to try and fix it.
-Oh no, I didn't mean it that way I just, is just,
B-I know, don't worry. But I promise, I will get you your aura back.
-You don't have to do that. Really.
B-But I want to, besides, you can't honestly tell me you haven't thought about having your aura back again.
-I admit it would be cool to have it back but then sometimes I say to myself is better to not have it at all. Just like mom.
She turns surprised before she laughs and I laugh along with her. After a bit of chatting mom and dad arrive from their competition.
Ka-We're back. How are things going for you both?
B-We are fine, we tortured grandpa.
-He will take us shopping.
Dad smiles and as he kisses us both I dare ask him.
-Dad?
Ka-Yes baby girl?
-I was wondering...... Would you, let me have a.......boyfriend?
He frowns obviously not liking the idea and he sits at my side.
Ka-Of course, not.
-Why not?
Ka-No one will take my baby girl away from me.
-Just the other day you said I was growing up into a fine young lady, now I'm a baby again.
Ka-You will not have a boyfriend. Over my dead body. No way.
I sigh as I wanted to introduce them. I already have a boyfriend but he doesn't has to know about it.
Karai POV
I am lying down on my bed surrounded by the gifts my secret admirer got me. I am thinking of love more lately and I think on contacting Hydra but I don't know how. I look at the time and is well past midnight. I sigh and I get up from bed. I slip myself in silence to the kitchen and I try to not make any sound. I get a glass of wine and I get myself to the infinity pool. I jump to the top of the statue at the center and I keep there drinking. When I get tired I get down and I go to the gardens. I get one of the flowers I love so much and I take it. I give it a soft kiss before I go back to the pool and I just go like lovers do. I let it to fate and rip the petals off getting them to float on the water.
-He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not.
I keep doing it until I run out of petals. When the early sun starts to rise I get up and I take my usual flight. I fly well above the clouds and I enjoy myself just relaxing and being free. I decide to take the day and be by myself. I go down to earth and I fly across the mountains, oceans and rivers happy. When the sun starts to set I go back to Olympus and I slip on the office. I search for some papers as I know mom and dad must have one on every divine being on earth. I find everyone but not the one I'm looking for. I find some rather interesting things. Finally I find it.
-Aha, there you are.
I smile to myself happy. I get everything back in place and I hold the file close to my face and I run back home. I run and before I know what happened I'm on the floor on top of someone. When I lift myself I see that is uncle Zeus the one I bumped into. He looks angry and a bit annoyed. I'm about to apologize to him when I see all the files spread over the floor. Fear overcomes me and I hurry to take them trying to hide them. I run away and scream an apology.
-Sorry!
I disappear into a corner leaving all of them behind.
Hades POV
As we all get out late from another meeting at the throne room. As we go out Zeus is the first to get out but then in a blur of feathers he let's put a gasp. We all are frozen in place when we see what happened. Karai is on top of him and they both groan a bit shocked from the hit. Zeus looks annoyed and I see as Karai blushes hard and picks up some things before she runs off again. She yells an apology before she disappears in a corner. Zeus stands and he steadies himself before he turns to me.
Z-What is wrong with her?
-I'll talk to her.
He doesn't look convinced but still goes away to his own house and everyone else does as well. When I get home I knock on her door.
-Karai, can I come in?
K-One minute.
I hear lots of noises before she opens the door and let's me inside.
