Y/n's pov

You would think that it would be my dear old brother to be the first face I saw when I awoke in the bright hospital room, but no.

"Cut the lights, Christopher," I groan shielding my eyes from the harsh light. "All of them please."

He was quick to shit them of signalling for a doctor before retreating back to my side, almost like a guard dog.

"How are you feeling?" He asks, staring at me like I'm gonna try to make a run for it. Speaking about running... I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon.

"My head hurts," I say blinking them repeatedly to adjust to what lilt light there is. "And my face, everything really."

"You took quite the tumble," the doctor says walking into the room, scribbling away on his board. "Now would you prefer the doctor terms of the extent of your injuries?"

"Please dumb it down for me," I say pressing my face into a pillow, the sharp pain I felt instantly making me regret that choice.

"Be careful, Bird," Christopher says.

"We just needed to stick a cut up on your face, no need to worry it's nothing life-threatening. Thankfully your teeth took none of the impact, although you did get a concussion," the doctor goes on.

"No wonder why my leg hurts like a bitch," I mumble taking the offence glass of water. "Will the cut scar?"

"Most defiantly, but there could have been so much more head trauma," he explains.

"My leg," I start. "Did I pull a Yoonbum?"

"Um," he pauses glancing over for an answer.

"She's asking if her leg's broken," Christopher clarifies.

"I felt a crunch," I say. "I'm my ankle."

"Oh I understand," he nods his head scribbling down more notes. "To put it simply you fractured your ankle as well that main part of your leg, the fibula bone."

"I wish I woulda crushed my skull," I mutter. "End my misery."

"I'll have to ask you to refrain from using such phrases to describe disappointment, the last thing I'd like to do would be to send you to the ward," he says. "Unless you'd like a revisit?"

"Y'know maybe keep my information-" I start before Christopher cuts me off.

"Don't mind her, she's still probably still pent up from her fall," he says. "Do you think she'd be able to go home today?"

"That should be alright," he says eyes not really leaving his board.

"How long have I been here?" I ask.

"About a day and a half," the doctor says. "Lucky to have such a loyal partner to hover you."

Christopher and I looked just as shocked by the doctor's assumption. But then again I think we should roll with it, they wouldn't let me leave with just some guy.

"I sure am," I smile. "Glad he was here to make sure I didn't die or anything."

"Um yeah," Christopher clears his throat. "But I think hovering is a bit of a stretch."

"No need to get embarrassed, I get couples in here all the time," he laughs. "Although it's not quite for tumbling down the stairs."

Um chile, lemme look away.

"Uh, when can I leave?" I ask.

It smells like clean dead people in here, not very pleasant.

"I'll go and get your perception, then you two will be free to go," he says turning away to head for the door. "No pressure on the leg for a bit."

"Got it," I say turning to Christopher. "Where is that lying bastard."

"Your brother?" he questions.

"Well yeah," I say as if it was obvious. "Where is he?"

"Well..." he pauses searching for his thoughts. "He's training."

"Training?" I ask, jaw coming slightly unhinged. "The fuck you mean he's training?"

"Well it was Tendo who called me from the hospital yesterday and he told me how you fell..." he trails off. "Your brother wasn't here when I arrived as far as I'm concerned he hasn't visited you, just a call every few hours."

"And what the hell does he say?" I ask vetting heated.

"Well... he just wants to know if you're alright," he says.

"No, what does he say?" I ask. "Tell me exactly how he says it."

"Um, he just asks if you're dead," he says. "But I'm totally sure that he doesn't mean it in a rude way, just blunt."

"I hate him," I say. "I'm never going back with him, I want to go back to Japan."

"Tendo is actually working on that," he says, relieved that he has some good news for me. "In about a month you can go for a visit then your mother said we could probably have you moved back there by December."

"Really?" I ask. "I get to love back to Japan?!"

"Well it took a lot of convincing on my part but you can go back," he says. "Just not yet, wait a bit longer and take it easy."

"Yeah of course," I say. "I'll make it super easy."

"Also your mother has asked me to let you spend a few nights at my place, of course, you don't have to though," he says. "Just figured that it would be best to let things cool down-."

"Anything is better than having to hang around Wakatoshi," l say, a sour taste appearing in my mouth. "Doesn't even have to courtesy to visit his sister."

"He cares about you, just give him a second to rethink," he says.

"No, I hate him," I say. "He's an asshole and I feel disgusted that I thought he was all that and a bag of chips. We don't like him, got it?"

"Uh... got it," he says.

Well, that was a lovely start to a new school year if you ask me.

Ello lauv.
