I sit on the grass near the pool, breathing deeply.
"You good?"

My aunt chuckles.
"... Next week you can Wednesday too?" I ask, catching my breath.
"I can't next week... we're going to have that big intersection that we've been preparing for next week, on Sunday."
"Oh..." I get up a bit numbly.
"If everything goes as planned, these murders that moved into your city will stop."
"So it is about... that new group?"
"I can't tell you yes," she chuckles.
"Ah... mhm..."
"Why did you stay like this...?"
"Ah, no-ah, that-that's good..."
