I woke up to a flurry of people running into the drop ship. I rubbed my eyes to get a better look at what going on, but my head was still pounding so I didn't move from my spot. At this point, Octavia has found her way to my side.

"What's happening?" I asked quietly.

"There's fog outside, it's burning people's skin. They all have to come inside," she immediately told me. This confused me, fog wasn't supposed to do that but I guess Earth had some surprises up its sleeve.

"Try and sleep some more Monty will wake you back up in two hours, okay?" She told me with a small smile. I nodded as I began to shut my eyes once again.

I slept when I could, but there was a lot of commotion in the full drop ship. So many voices and Jasper continued to scream, which did not help with my headache. I ended up falling asleep for about another ten minutes until I felt a hand slightly shake me.

My gaze was met with Monty's, "how are you doing?"

"Better," I managed to get out. I was a little better, but this headache would not quit. Jasper let out another painful roar, it seemed to be increasing.

"That's it, I'm shutting him up," I heard Murphy's voice. I look past Monty to see him getting out of his hammock.

Monty took off at his warning, racing up the ladder yelling to Octavia, "Octavia! Murphy is gonna kill Jasper!"

I watched as they fought to contain the third level, but I couldn't help feeling fear that I was now stuck on the same level as Murphy without Octavia or Monty. I quietly inched my body underneath the seats on the drop ship wall while Murphy was distracted with getting through the hatch.

My safest bet was to hide. I slid a few random containers and whatever else I could find to block me in under the seats so I couldn't be seen by anyone. Murphy was raging to let him in, continuously banging on the thick metal. I could hear Octavia taunting him from the other side of the floor, which told me that she knew I was still down here with my attacker. She was taking his attention away from using me to get in to Jasper.

I don't know how I could have possibly fallen asleep during this, but I did. Next thing I knew, I was being dragged out from my hiding place by Murphy.

"I can't believe I forgot about you," Murphy said under his breath. I tried to escape his grip on my jacket, but it was no use since I had no energy.

"Ok Octavia, I have your girlfriend with me now so you better open that door!" He yelled so everyone could hear him clearly.

"What has gotten into you?" I kept my voice low while addressing Murphy.

He snapped his head around to look at me and responded, "Earth, Kota. We have to do things we don't like to get what we want."

I didn't give him the satisfaction of a reply, I just glared at him with dazed eyes. Fortunately, this situation never escalated due to the drop ship door finally opening. It was day light out, making me think I slept more than I thought I did. Murphy released my clothing and stomped outside of the ship. I let out a shaky breath as I heard the hatch being opened.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry we couldn't get you in here with us," Octavia said as she looked down from the hole.

"I'm fine," I said while standing up. My headache subsided to something more bearable now. I climbed up the ladder to meet my friends on the same level, I wanted to check on Jasper.

Night time came back around as I was sitting outside by the fire on the ground. I spent most of my day out here, the fresh air helped me feel a little better along with the food Monty had brought over to me. I also watched as some people got back to work on the huts I started making, asking me questions if they needed to. They also started constructing a wall around our camp. Once the sun was no longer visible, the two groups arrived back at camp. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding at the sight of them, they made it out of that nasty fog alive. Well, not everyone.

I saw Octavia rush over to them, trying to push past Bellamy to get to Atom. I stood up now, going to follow her. I felt horrible for Octavia in this moment, her tears made my head start hurting more.

"There's nothing I could do-," Bellamy told her helplessly.

"Don't!" Octavia shot back, holding her hand up. My sad eyes watched as she placed a jacket to cover Atom's lifeless face and began to march off, Bellamy still attempted to talk to her.

I would have followed her, but I knew she'd rather have a minute to herself right now. My attention was brought back to Bellamy when he began to yell at Murphy about saying something slimy about his sister.

Murphy glanced his eyes at me as he started to walk away from the scene. I kept my stare into his back as he was on his way, which is why it startled me when Bellamy approached.

"How are you doing?" He asked, genuinely curious.

I looked up to the tall, freckled man, "good, much better."

He nodded, subtly pleased with my response. I decided to keep that Murphy grabbed a hold of me again in the drop ship to myself. There were already too many problems going on around here.

"I'm gonna go check on Jasper and Octavia," I released myself from talking to Bellamy.

He looked like he was going to say something, but ended up just nodding. I knew Bellamy cared about my wellbeing because of his sister, but I couldn't help to wonder if it was also because he wanted me to be safe. Once I was back in the drop ship, I saw Finn passing around a dirty bottle of clear liquid to Octavia and Monty.

"Me next," I said while reaching my hand out.

Octavia rolled her eyes at me, "it'll only make your headache worse." She was right, I let my hand back down opting out of the party bottle.

"Me after Kota," a strained voice rose from the elevated surface. All of our eyes widened at the sounds of Jasper being awake.

"Let's start with the soft stuff," Finn told him as he fed Jasper water.

"Welcome back buddy," Monty greeted.

"Oh hey," Jasper said once he got a look at Octavia. She giggled while we looked to each other and then back to the injured boy.

"Was that a dream or did I get speared?" Jasper asked with a hint of a smile.

I opened my mouth to say something, but Clarke entered the room saying, "you'll have an impressive scar to prove it."
