It's been two hours since Bellamy left. I decided to start pulling myself together after I found a book in the small nightstand by the bed.

The book was just about insects but I remembered it clearly. My mom taught me about bugs with books like this. My dad and I would try and find which one looked the ugliest to show my mom. I knew that this had to be a sign from them.

It made me think about how they would never want me dwell like I had been. They taught my mind how to be strong, I wasn't going to disappoint them. I ended up pulling the entire drawer out from the nightstand and broke off a large piece of the back board. When I slid it back into its place, nothing looked out of the ordinary.

I began to sharpen the piece of wood on the metal part of the bed frame. I felt safer with a weapon by me, just in case. I didn't think I'd need to use it so soon though.

I slid the the pointed piece of wood into the back of my pants and lifted my shirt over it so it was covered.

I ate the piece of bread that lay on the plate and fed the rest to Bear. Although I was hungry, I still didn't have too much of an appetite. I saw Miller come around the corner with more food in his hands.

"Dinner for you," Miller gave me a weak smile while opening the door. "And outside time for you."

Bear wagged his tail at Miller as I grabbed the food from him.

"You look better," Miller noticed that I wasn't a rotting heap in the bed.

"Thanks," I gave a small smile. "Can you give Bear to Bellamy tonight? I feel bad that he's been locked up in here with me."

"For sure, but I don't think Bellamy is going to be back for another couple of hours," Miller responded.

"He's fine outside until Bellamy gets back," I told him. Miller nodded and began to leave, I told Bear his command to follow and he listened as always.

I decided to get my body moving, it felt stiff from laying down for three days straight. After I stretched a little bit, I did some exercising. That made me realize how hungry I actually was. I finished the entire plate of food Miller had brought.

"I heard you were in here," a deep voice came from the other side of the door. My head snapped over to see who it was.

"You're obsessed with me. You probably asked where I was," I mumbled to Mason. He was captivated with the control he had over me years ago.

He let out a chuckle before continuing, "something like that. It's just funny that you're locked up now and not me."

I stared at him without replying, all this man wanted to do was instigate something.

"I was thinking you should apologize to me," he said to me. "For being the reason I was stuck in a cell for months."

"Should have been longer," I spat at him. I could not let this man scare me anymore, I had to be strong.

He pulled his keys out of his guard jacket and reached them up to the lock. I don't know how he got a key to here, but at this point that didn't matter. What mattered was that he does have them. He easily opened the door and stepped in, locking it behind him.

"I've thought about killing you most of my time in lock up," he stepped towards me.

"I thought about killing you," I held my ground. Both of our voices stayed calm.

His dirty smile made it's way to his face as he said, "Bellamy is out on a mission. He can't help you."

"I don't need his help," I shot back. Mason all of a sudden shoved me hard into the wall, I lost my breath for a moment when my back collided with the metal but I stayed on my feet.
