"Do you hear that?" Gaia put Indra and I on alert. There was a screaming coming from not too far away, calling for help. "It sounds like Madi."
"They got in," Indra stated as the cries got closer. I watched as Madi sprinted into the rotunda and latched onto Gaia.
"He's here!" She announced to us. "Come help, please!"
"What is it Madi?" Gaia asked, we were all confused about what was going on. After a couple of seconds a familiar figure trudged in.
"You," Indra spat at him.
"Me," he snarled and continued forward to Madi. "Us."
"Madi, clear out," Gaia demanded and Madi ran up the ramp of the rotunda. I was really damn confused as to why Russell looked like he did. I would have thought they'd kill him in Sanctum for what he's done, but apparently not. He had one of those disciple suits on along with an eye patch.
As soon as Madi took off, Russell pulled out a sword and lunged at Gaia. Luckily, Gaia already had her sword ready and could block his swing. Indra jumped in on the fighting alongside me. He dodged Indra's swing, but got nicked on the cheek by my blade. Drawing his blood pissed him off, he grabbed a spear that was laying on the floor with speed and whacked me in the chest with it like a baseball bat.
I stumbled back to catch my breath as Gaia launched her foot into his thigh. It made him grunt and stumble briefly, but it lined his shot up perfectly to sock Indra in the face. I was still wheezing, yet I found the energy to run back in and lay a punch into his side while he tried to shake Gaia off. When he did, his attention was back on me. I swung my arm out and was able to make another cut on his bicep and ducked while his spear tip tried impale my skull. What I wasn't prepared for was when I got up from my quick crouch, he forcefully hit my nose with an insane uppercut.
I felt my vision blur as I shuffled backwards and warm blood trickled down to my chin. I could see through the haze that Madi had jumped onto his back to try and stop him, but he easily rolled her off. Madi was now on her back on the concrete floor as Russell stood above her, ready to sink the spear into her.
Gaia flew in with her leg out, kicking him so hard in the side that he flopped onto his back. I realized that I had dropped my two knives when I got hit in the face, but saw a dagger laying on the floor that he must've dropped. I scurried to pick it up before he could stand once again and threw it into his abdomen in one quick motion. He grunted when his skin got pierced, but then he fucking laughed.
Within two seconds, his body lit up green and he dissipated. He was no longer here with us. It was the exact same thing that happened with Octavia when Hope stabbed her, which meant he was still alive.
"Shit," I breathed heavily and tried to wipe the pooling blood off of my face. It wouldn't stop pouring out, I just hoped that my nose wasn't broken. "Who the hell was that because it wasn't Russell."
"Sheidheda took his body," Indra revealed. More and more horrible details of everyone's lives from when we got separated kept popping up. I didn't have anything to say in return to that, I just stood there with wide eyes.
"Gabriel's hurt, he needs help," Madi stressed to me.
"Okay, we'll go. Indra, Gaia, can you stay? Give anyone hell if they come back through," I asked the duo. Both of them agreed to what I asked of them and then Madi led the way to the rec room. When we got close, I could hear Clarke's frantic voice asking where Madi could possibly be.
"I'm right here," Madi rushed around the corner to the room with me following.
Clarke swallowed her in a hug, "thank God. Are you hurt?"
