"Just stop! Murphy didn't kill Wells! I did!" I watched in complete shock as this little girl just confessed to a murder to stop another one. Clarke rushed to cut Murphy down, he was gasping hard as he hit the ground. I took off towards him, feeling extremely guilty about not saying anything about my feeling of him possibly being innocent.

I ripped the gag off his mouth as Octavia was releasing his hands from the knots.

"Are you okay?" I breathed out with tears silently coming down my cheeks. Before Murphy could even process that it was me, I had a hand on me. Again. This was starting to become a habit of Bellamy's. I saw Octavia get up to come beside Bellamy after she freed Murphy's hands. She was the only reason I didn't fight Bellamy back on this. I complied as we ran back to the tent. Clarke and Finn were in there with Charlotte.

"Why did you kill Wells?" I immediately questioned the girl.

"He said to slay my demons," she defended, looking over to Bellamy. All of our gazes landed on him now.

"She misunderstood me," Bellamy told us, my eyes still glued on him. Murphy seemed to regroup fast and was going on a rampage outside the tent, demanding for us to give him Charlotte.

"Don't let them hurt me please Bellamy," Charlotte cried in fear.

Bellamy knelt down in front of her small figure, "nothing's going to happen to you. Stay with them."

The girl nodded as Bellamy left the tent.

"Clarke, Finn," I quickly grabbed their attention. They looked at me, probably hoping I had something good to say. "Take her out of the tent on the other side Bellamy left from. There's an opening in the fence a couple feet to your right once you leave. Then fucking run, we'll find you later."

Clarke nodded and they took off. Octavia and I looked at each other as we heard Bellamy's voice raging at Murphy. The two of us practically jumped out of the tent. My eyes caught Murphy picking up a big stick as Bellamy was walking away from him.

"Bellamy!" I tried to warn him, but everything happened so fast. Murphy had smacked the back of his head, sending Bellamy to the floor. Both Octavia and I landed on either side of Bellamy, instantly trying to help him.

Bellamy stayed unconscious for a few hours from the hit, I spent the rest of the day trying to aid him in any way I could. Murphy and his gang went to go look for our friends and Charlotte, Octavia stayed to help her brother. Once nightfall came, Bellamy woke up. He winced as he sat up and rubbed the back of his head where he was hit.

"He got you good," I said tiredly. Octavia was called to help with something in the drop ship, so it was just me and him.

"Not good enough," Bellamy said back to me. He stood up like nothing ever happened to him. I could tell by his expression he was wondering what happened while he was out.

"Clarke and Finn ran off into the woods with Charlotte, Murphy went after them. I was just going to go look for them if you want to come," I said already knowing his answer.

Bellamy began his way out of the camp, "stay with O."

"No, I'm coming with," I ignored his statement. Besides, I was the one who came up with the plan for them to run off and I told them I'd look for them.

"Fine, stay beside me out there," he instructed without ever breaking his pace.

We exchanged a total of zero words as we searched the woods. I didn't care though, I was still mad he kicked that stool. It bothered me that I truly thought he wouldn't do it, but at the same time he was trying so hard to make sure Charlotte was safe from Murphy's wrath. I couldn't tell you why he was so stand-offish with me right now, though.

"We should split up, we'll find them quicker," I finally broke the silence.

He shot me a look with a hint of anger, "what did I say earlier?" I held my hands up in response, insinuating I wouldn't push it. Then we heard the voice of a young girl calling out.

Both of us started to sprint at the sound. We finally caught up to Charlotte, but she was alone. Bellamy latched his hand over her mouth to get her to stop yelling.

"Charlotte, let's go," I told her, but she didn't want to listen. Bellamy grabbed onto her arm to lead her away from the spot she was yelling from. Us three continued into the woods further, but she was still struggling to get away from us.

Bellamy finally released her, "we're trying to help you."

I turned to watch the woods around us as I heard Charlotte retaliate, "I'm not your sister! Stop helping me!"

"We're not leaving you," Bellamy kept his voice low. Then she started to take off while giving up her location with yelling.

"Pick her up!" I told Bellamy. He listened to me, throwing the girl over his shoulder.

"Run Kota," he said to me once he collected her. Unfortunately, this didn't stop her from yelling. I couldn't understand why she didn't want to save her own life in this moment.

I saw the torches of Murphy and his crew behind us as we ran, but soon enough we had to stop. I stopped myself from running off a massive cliff as Bellamy set the girl down.

"Shit," I cursed under my breath.

"Bellamy! Kota!" Murphy yelled our names as he was now caught up to us. "Hand her over. You can't take all of us."

"No, but I can take some of you down with me," Bellamy retorted. I stepped forward to Murphy now, hoping I could deescalate this.

"Murphy, she's a kid. It doesn't have to be-" my spiel was cut short as Murphy twisted me around, holding a knife to my throat. I felt a rush of blood drop from my head, I was sure fear was evident on my face. Bellamy's expression was fuming.

"Murphy stop!" Clarke's voice rang as she appeared on the scene with Finn.

"Nobody move or I'll kill her!" Murphy warned. My hands were trembling at my sides, how could he be doing this to me again? Any sympathy I had for him left my mind.

"Please, please don't hurt her," I saw Charlotte begging.

"I'll make you a deal, come with me and I let her go," Murphy offered. Bellamy prevented Charlotte from advancing.

Her tear filled eyes looked up to Bellamy, "I can't let anymore of you get hurt because of me. Not after what I did." Then she backed up, disappearing from our view.

Murphy immediately let go of me, Clarke and I lunged forward next to Bellamy. We glared down the cliff where Charlotte had descended. Clarke was crying loudly and tears spilled from my eyes.

Bellamy stood up and marched towards Murphy. I spun away from the cliff to watch what Bellamy was doing. He laid one punch after another into Murphy's face as Clarke was telling him to quit it. He only stopped when Finn finally ripped him away.

"You killed her!" Bellamy shouted, fighting furiously to get away from Finn. Murphy laid still on the ground, his face hardly recognizable.

"I told you to never touch her again!" He roared even louder, my eyes widened knowing Bellamy was talking about me. He wasn't just watching over me for his sister, but more for himself.

Finn lost his grasp on Bellamy, but before he could launch at Murphy again I stepped in front of him putting my hand on his chest.

"No more!" I snapped, holding his eyes firmly in mine. I could feel his heavy breathing against my hand.

"We don't decide who lives and dies!" Clarke announced to Bellamy. His eyes flicked away from mine to Clarke. I brought my hand down now that I was sure he wasn't going to get another hit in.

"So what? We bring him back to camp? Like he didn't do anything wrong?" Bellamy's tone was hard.

After a second of collective silence I spoke, "we banish him." Everyone's eye's were on me once again. Bellamy pushed past me to pick up Murphy, bringing him over to the ledge.

"If I see you near her or our camp again, you will die," he gritted. I didn't stay long enough to hear what he offered to Murphy's stupid friends because I took off back to camp. Tears wouldn't stop flowing from my eyes, I didn't want anyone to see me like this. I was overwhelmed with the death of a child and the fact that someone who I used to call a friend threatened my life.
