I finally managed to get myself out of bed hours after seeing the explosion. Bellamy told me him and a few others were going to check out the wreckage, but I decided to stay in the comfort of his tent.

Once I left Bellamy's tent, I made my way over to the sliver of the fence that was just wide enough for me to squeeze out. The group was gone for a while now, so I was getting a little antsy at their absence.

I pulled out a bunch of random pieces of scrap metal from my jacket pockets. I started to make more knives for anyone who wanted one. A knife is handy to have even if we did have guns now. It was nice to shape them without anyone bothering me, that's why I left to the outside of camp.

A rustling in the bushes put me on alert. I knew it was a possibility it could be the group that went to the crash site, but something seemed off. I slowly made my way over to the noises having a knife in ready just in case.

I soon came across the figure making the sounds, he was laying on the ground and not really moving anymore. I approached with caution, ready to fight in case it was a ploy from the grounders.

"Murphy?" I said in shock as the boy's face came into view. He tried to crawl backwards as if he was in fear of me. I put my knife back into it's secure spot and bent down to get a closer look at him. His face was beaten badly, there was so much blood I could hardly see the color of his skin.

I forgot what he has done to me in the past in this moment, it looks like someone gave him payback for it already.

"Let me help," I told him. His fright seemed to simmer once he realized it was me. I helped him up to his feet and flung his arm around my shoulder. He was grunting in agony as we made our way back to camp.

I screamed for help at the camp gates and two of the guards came to aid me. Miller decided it was best to put Murphy in the drop ship, so that's where we set him down.

The two guards watched him closely, not knowing what to do with him. I attempted to clean up his brutal wounds but Murphy kept pushing me off.

Octavia came up to where we were once she got the news, "what the hell is he doing back here?"

She was scanning his face as I replied, "I'm not really sure."

After a few minutes, Bellamy showed his face through the hatch with Clarke and Finn following. He looked over to me before turning his gaze to Murphy. His face seemed surprised that I was out of bed.

"What are you doing here Murphy?" He repeated his sister's question.

Murphy's voice was hoarse, "I was running from the grounders."

"Did you see any grounders?" Bellamy asked the guards but I answered.

"No, he was alone."

Bellamy shot his look back to me, "you found him?"

I just nodded in response, I could tell he was mad I left the premises.

"We'll talk later," Bellamy told me, his voice low. He then raised his gun and pointed it towards Murphy's head.

"Stop," Clarke said. "He could have intel on the grounders."

"Yeah? Now they probably have intel on us. What did you tell them?" Bellamy grew louder.

"Everything," Murphy croaked out an answer. Bellamy looked ready to shoot, but Clarke stepped towards Murphy's crumpled body to examine his finger nails or lack of them.

"They tortured him. We'll find out what he knows, then send him off," Clarke concluded.

"And if he won't leave?" Bellamy inquired.

"Then we kill him," Clarke said as she turned away and descended down the ladder. Bellamy put his gun down at this point and looked to me before heading out of the drop ship. I knew he wanted me to follow him, so I did.

I found him standing in front of his tent by himself. He was waiting for me to come over since his eyes were already on me as soon as I lifted the curtain up from the drop ship.

As soon as I made my way over to him, he told me, "you can't leave the camp Kota."

"I barely did, I was just right on the other side of the fence," I defended.

"We don't know who's out there or when the grounders could attack! You helped the man who tried to kill you! It's not-" Bellamy cut himself off. His face instantly switched from frustration to worry.

"It's not what?" I questioned. Then I felt heat dripping from my eyes and nose. I lifted my fingers up to touch my cheeks and was mortified at the sight of my own blood.

Bellamy started wiping my face off with his sleeve when I heard Clarke yelling, "stay away from us! It's contagious!"

I quickly backed away from Bellamy, "you shouldn't be touching me."

His expression was evident of stress, "I already did, I'm helping you."

Clarke has made her way up to us now, "get Kota in the drop ship. We need to quarantine in there, you're probably already infected Bellamy."

I started to feel extremely light headed at this point, stumbling as Bellamy ushered me to where Clarke directed.

I reached for the first container I could grab and violently hurled into it. When I pulled my head up, I saw that the fluid leaving my body was pure blood. My body began to tremble at the fact that we had no idea what this was.

"You should lay down Kota, you'll be okay," I heard Bellamy say as he laid me down on top of several blankets. I don't think anyone actually knew if we'd be okay or not, that's what made it so scary.

What made it even worse was that one of the guards who helped me bring Murphy in was now having an extreme coughing fit. Blood spewing from his mouth as he collapsed on the floor and went limp.

Clarke rushed over to check his pulse, "he's dead."

I saw Octavia watching in horror, then looking over to me. I shivered at the fact that I could be dead next.

"Octavia get out of here," Bellamy told her.

"She's already been in contact Bellamy, so have you. You should both go up to the third level where people aren't symptomatic yet," Clarke said.

"I'm not leaving Kota down here Clarke," Bellamy refuted as he stepped towards the blond.

"Octavia," I whispered to get her attention. I took this moment to talk to her before Bellamy could listen in because I knew he wasn't going to like what I was about to tell her to do.

Octavia knelt down beside me and moved some stray strands of hair out of my face.

"You need to sneak out, find Lincoln and figure out was the fuck is happening to us," I kept my voice quiet. She nodded, agreeing to what I was saying then stood up.

A ghastly cough rose through my chest, taking Bellamy's attention away from everyone else. As he was handing me some water I saw Octavia take this moment to get out. Clarke watched her leave but never said a word, she only looked back to me. She knew what I told Octavia to do and her silence confirmed that she agreed with it.
