I could hear footsteps walking back and forth in a line behind me, I assumed Murphy was pacing around. Bellamy had been staring at me for the past fifteen minutes. It seemed like that him looking at me was helping him think.

"Save you energy, you're going to need it," Bellamy ran his hand through his hair as his eyes departed mine. It was killing me that I still couldn't move or talk.

"Yeah? For what, another war?" Murphy sassed. "Is that really what Clarke would want?"

"I don't know what Clarke would want," Bellamy said matter-of-factly. "It's too bad we can't ask her."

"We know she wanted to do better," Murphy's voice rose. "Somehow I don't think risking all of our lives for revenge is a step in the right direction."

Bellamy changed the topic as he kept his eyes locked on Murphy, "why aren't you restrained like us?"

I saw Murphy's cuffs, he had them binding his wrists together but he was still able to roam around the room freely. "I don't know," Murphy's attitude was prominent. "Maybe I seem less likely to rip their heads off."

This got Bellamy to stand up, I could no longer see his face, only his legs. "Kota can't even move and they still chained her to the floor. So tell me, why are you really here Murphy?"

I heard a sarcastic sniffle come from Murphy as he questioned, "you really want to know?"

"Yeah," Bellamy huffed out without hesitation.

"Fine," he complied. "I'm here to convince you to take the deal. There, I said it."

I heard a scoff come from Bellamy as I watched his legs reposition themselves in place, "why am I not surprised? What did you see when you died, Murphy?"

That was it, that's what got Murphy on edge. I never asked him what he experienced when he did die, but it must've been bad.

"Am I trying to save my own ass?" Murphy asked himself, but said it to Bellamy. "Yeah. I am. But I'm also saving yours just like I did during the Red Sun."

I didn't get to witness everything that happened during the Red Sun to the others, but now I wish I did so I know what happened between the two of them.

"Take a step back," Bellamy warned. I couldn't see where Murphy was, but I could tell he was close to my body by the way Bellamy spoke.

There was a pause and I assumed Murphy listened to what he said. "Bellamy, if we take this deal we get everything we want. We get to live," Murphy was trying to convince him.

"Not Clarke," Bellamy grumbled.

"We can't bring her back," Murphy's voice stepped down in volume. "We can make sure the rest of us survive, starting with you and Kota. If you don't take this deal Josephine will kill Kota and then you right after."

"Let her try," Bellamy wasn't letting up.

"So that's it then?" Murphy stated, raising his voice once again. "We start another war? Destroy another planet? Is that what you want?"

I saw Murphy's shoes come back into my view as he approached Bellamy. He continued, "is that what Monty would've wanted?"

I felt my heart rate spike at what he asked. Bellamy had lunged at him with an aggressive yell, "Listen to me! Monty- listen to me. Monty would be ashamed of you."

I heard Bellamy shove Murphy away and I could no longer see his feet. "Maybe he would be," Murphy said. "Or maybe he would know that this is how we do better."

His comment made Bellamy lunge once more, but the restraint on his arm held him back from doing more. "Get out," Bellamy demanded.

A few seconds later, I heard a knocking on the door and listened as it opened. I still couldn't see Bellamy's face, now he was turned with his back facing me.
