"What do you mean you're not building the bomb?" Bellamy questioned Gabriel with heat in his voice. We were all watching him as he was working with the toxic mushrooms carefully and in a contained space.

"Releasing it in the water will cause it to aerosolize at a lower concentration. We'll trigger an evacuation without inducing a mass psychosis," Gabriel detailed the new plan. Clarke and him had talked about it while we went to get the fungus he needed. In all honesty, I liked this plan better than mine. Releasing a bomb like that was going to kill a lot of people and I'd probably hate myself for coming up with the idea for the rest of my life. Bellamy still wanted to go with my plan, probably because he knew it'd most likely work.

"In other words, no innocent people die," Clarke simplified from beside me.

"They're going to figure out that there's no actual eclipse sooner than we'd have the time to get in and out," I pointed out. Me wanting this plan to go accordingly meant that I had to raise concern to anything that would be a problem.

"They will," Clarke agreed. "That's why we need to be inside before it starts, which means the shield needs to be down before it starts."

"Can you do that without a distraction?" Octavia turned her body to ask Gabriel.

"No," I answered realizing where this was going. "She's talking about taking it down herself."

"Going as Josephine?" Bellamy quizzed. "Clarke-"

"It's the only way," Clarke tried to reason. It was risky, but it could really work in our favor. The only thing was that if it went totally wrong, we could permanently lose Clarke. The idea of that hurt Bellamy, it hurt me too. We just did everything we could to get her back and succeeded.

"No it's not. We use the bomb like we all planned earlier. We don't need to risk your life-" Bellamy was cut off by Clarke's raised voice.

"It's how we do better," she stepped towards him. "What would Monty do?"

"Clarke, if you fail and Russell finds out we killed his daughter, you're not the only one going to be dead. Our friends in there will be dead and so will we," Bellamy's voice was stern, he was giving her the reality of this.

"So I won't fail," Clarke assured confidently.

"We just got you back," I got Clarke's attention onto me. Her eyes softened from my words.

"I know... I'm sorry," she told me genuinely. "But this is the best way to do it."

"I think the same," I agreed with her sincerely. What I didn't expect to hear was Octavia agreeing as well.

"If we can spare innocent lives, we should," Octavia's voice sounded. I moved my eyes to look at Bellamy's face, his tense expression softened as he processed what she said. The sound of motorcycles and yelling intruded in on the conversation.

Bellamy glanced to me right before booking it outside, I immediately followed him out. As soon as Bellamy and I made ourselves present outside, Nelson began shouting orders regarding us.

"Get them back inside! I want them tied up and gagged with the Primes!" He demanded to the other Children of Gabriel who were now grabbing a hold of us. Before being dragged back into the tent, I caught a glimpse of the scene out there. The Children of Gabriel were surrounding the tent and motorcycle noises were getting closer.

I attempted to yank myself free from the two men who were in control of me, but I couldn't. I was tired of being immobile after what happened to me with that paralytic, I did no want to be restrained again.

Unfortunately, I didn't get what I wanted. My wrists got tightly bound together and secured to the leg of a table. After that, a piece of fabric was forced into my mouth and my head jerked back from how harshly they tightened the knot behind my head.

They simultaneously did the same with the others, Octavia was put on the table leg next to me and Bellamy was secured to a post in front of me. The group that restrained us now rushed out of the tent and Layla walked in.

I watched her as she took her place standing before us, holding her pistol in a resting position. She was just death glaring at Gabriel, I know it made him a bit uncomfortable since he wouldn't look back at her face. The shouts were increasing outside, warnings of Sanctum raiders being in the vicinity was continuously announced.

Then there was a gun shot which made me move my head to the exit of the tent, trying to see anything that was going on out there. I saw nothing, but I heard rapid gun fire begin. It was gun shot after gun shot out there.

This got Layla to break her stare, she raised her pistol and made her way to the tent's flap door to peer outside. That's when I heard fabric ripping, Bellamy noticed this too. All of out heads turned to watch a knife rip a hole in the tent wall. Murphy made his grand entrance when the hole was big enough, Jade was trailing in behind him. My eyes bounced to Bellamy's and then back onto Murphy.

"Hey there," Murphy made himself known to Layla. She spun her body around to face him at his voice. She raised her gun to him as she approached his figure, but Jade came up from behind her. She laid a wicked hit to Layla's head with her gun, making her collapse on the floor and go unconscious.

Jade picked up Layla's gun and quickly approached Clarke, "Josephine?"

I stared at Clarke as she decided to nod her head in confirmation. Jade bent down and took her gag out of her mouth, then whipped out a knife to cut her hands free of the rope.

Clarke sucked in a breath of air as she spoke, "well done, Jade. You just can't pick a side, can you John?"

"The only reason I'm doing this is because Emori dies if I don't," Murphy stated to her than moved his eyes to look between Bellamy and I. "Echo's in trouble too. I'll do what I can to help."

We needed to get our plan in motion and fast. Our people need to get out of there. "Give us two seconds to make sure it's clear, then follow us," Jade told who she thought to be Josephine. Her eyes drifted back to Layla's stagnant body and she raised her gun to aim at her.

"No," Clarke said as she put her hand on Jade's gun to lower it. She grabbed the pistol that Jade had snagged from Layla and pointed it at her. "This one's mine. Go. Make sure it's clear."

Jade agreed by sprinting out of the ripped hole in the tent and Murphy stood there staring at Clarke, "is she really gone this time?"

"Yes, boo-hoo," Clarke lied. Her acting was really on point, her voice and mannerisms lined up with Josephine's. "Now, as soon as I pull this trigger, your little decoy trick will fail. You better run."

"Hmm," Murphy grumbled as he turned to exit.

"Murphy," I tried to say his name, but it came out muffled and barely audible. He seemed to get that I was talking to him though, but he didn't go to take my gag off. Murphy just gave me a short look and continued out of the tent which really pissed me off. I wanted to know about Kane, I wanted to see if he had an idea if he was alright. Or any of our other friends, but I guess I had to wait to find out.

I looked back to Bellamy, his eyes were already locked on me. I knew he was wondering what I wanted from Murphy. Clarke then shot a bullet into the ground, which made me jump a bit in my seat.

Layla looked surprised she wasn't shot in the head, now she realized that we weren't lying to her about Josephine. Clarke ran over to Bellamy and took off his gag.

"I'll get that shield down," she promised. "For Monty."

"For Monty," Bellamy repeated. Clarke looked over to both Octavia and I while giving us a quick nod before getting up to leave the tent.

Layla stood up slowly as she watched Clarke leave, then looked over to Bellamy, "she isn't Josephine."

"No, she's not," Bellamy confirmed.
