"I'm going to go check on the rest," Bellamy told me as we waited for Clarke.
"Be careful," I replied to him. Clarke has been in the City of Light for a bit now and the climbers haven't made it to us yet. I hoped she was getting close to finishing this.
Bellamy nodded to me and handed me his pistol that was in his waistband. "Use it if you have to," he directed me. I nodded back to him and he started out the door.
"She's crashing!" Abby announced to us. I turned to see Clarke's body harshly twitching. Abby began CPR on Ontari.
I noticed Ontari's blood would only go into Clarke when Abby pushed down on her chest.
"Abby, she's going to need more than that," I told her as I rushed to her side.
"I need to open her chest. Murphy keep doing what I'm doing," Abby ordered. Murphy took over compressions as Abby scrambled to collect things from the med kit. When she got what she needed, she told Murphy to step aside.
I watched as Abby sliced through Ontari's bare chest. It took her a minute to open her chest up and I couldn't help but cringe at the noise it made. What made my eyes go wide was when Abby stuck her hand in the cavity and lightly grabbed her heart. She began pulsing it gently.
"It's working," I let her know as I saw the black blood start to steadily flow through the tube again.
"Here Murphy, do exactly as I'm doing," Abby told him. Murphy hesitated but decided to take over.
"I've got this. Check on her," Murphy said once he had her heart under his control.
Bellamy and the rest of the group came in now. Something was wrong, I could tell by their faces.
"They're here! We need to barricade the door!" Bellamy said upon entry. I ran to help move anything we could find in front of the door.
We loaded up a ton of stuff before they started to try and get in. There was nothing more we could do to block that door. Bellamy pulled me back with him to the other end of the room where Clarke sat.
"We're going to have to fight. Be strong," Bellamy told me seriously.
"Clarke will do this," I said confidently back to him. Our eyes tore away from each other as the doors were pushed open.
I grabbed two knives out of my belt and held one in each hand. I kept the gun Bellamy gave to me in my waistband. I didn't want to shoot anyone if I didn't have to yet. Once the barricade was dismantled, people started rushing in. There was no time to even think, everyone started fighting each other right away.
A tall man came towards me at a high speed, I got low and swung my leg out hard to take him down. His head hit the ground when he fell and I was kind of grateful he stopped moving for now because someone else had grabbed me from behind. I flung my elbow back into the person's face and then brought my hand down to stab my knife into the side of their leg.
The man threw me onto the ground, making me yelp in pain. I saw the pistol escape from it's spot and slide across the floor. The man saw it and lunged to grab it. I frantically tried to beat him to it, but I wasn't fast enough. I tried to back up away from him, but he pointed the gun at my head.
I threw the knife in my other hand without even thinking twice about it, it dug itself deep into the guy's forehead. The gun was no longer pointed to my head when he fired it, but I could feel the bullet break into my leg. I fell down on my back while belting out a scream that reminded me of the one I let out when my leg was being drilled into at Mount Weather. I got myself to sit up and carefully scoot away from the fighting.
