Bellamy finally told us we were going to stop to rest for an hour or two, he probably noticed me significantly slow down. My head began hurting again from my injury and I needed to sleep, I'm sure the others did too.

"I'll take watch," Finn announced and went to find a spot to position himself. Murphy went to follow him.

"You should sleep too," I said to Bellamy, I knew he wouldn't unless I told him too. He surprisingly didn't fight me on it, he just led me away to a spot that wasn't covered in stones. I set my jacket onto the ground to use as a pillow then laid down to put my head on it. Bellamy simultaneously did the same thing as me. I heard Bear huff as he laid down at our feet.

We had laid on our sides facing each other. Bellamy was looking into my eyes as he rested his hand on my waist. His touch felt so nice to have back. I could tell by his face that he was worried about me, he knew what had happened to my dad.

Instead of speaking, he leaned forward. Our lips connected to each other, everything started to feel okay again. The movement was sweet and gentle, I never wanted him to pull away. When he did, he kept his eyes on me.

"I love you Kota," he told me. I felt like I was melting from his words. I already knew that we loved each other, but we never said it.

"I love you too," I said back to him, reaching my hand up to delicately hold his healing face. He leaned over once more, solidifying what we just said to each other in action.

"Get some sleep, okay?" He was almost whispering. Bellamy rolled onto his back, trying to get comfortable. I decided to ditch my jacket pillow and chose his chest instead. He snaked his arm around me to hold onto my back and I curled up next to his body. He was very warm, it made me feel so relaxed that I fell asleep in a matter of minutes.

It only felt like I slept for twenty minutes before Bellamy was nudging me to wake up. He motioned it was time to start going again and Bear was already up and ready to go. We met up with Finn and Murphy who weren't far from us.

"The newlyweds," Murphy greeted.

"Shut up Murphy," I shot Murphy a look of disgust.

We continued through the forest until we reached an insanely large cliff. I stared over the edge at the part of the Ark ship that had crashed below it.

"Rough landing," Murphy mumbled.

"There's not much we can do about that," Bellamy stated. The boys turned around to start on their way once more, but I noticed Bear kept tilting his head as he stared down the cliff. I could then hear faint grunting so I brought my head forward more to peer down.

I saw a girl hanging off the side of the cliff, struggling to hold on. I recognized her from the Ark although I did not know her name.

"Hold on, we'll get you up from there!" I yelled and got her attention.

"Help me please! Please!" She screamed back to me. I turned around fast to call for Bellamy, but they all seemed to hear what was going on already because they were coming up to the cliff again.

"Get the rope out Murphy," I demanded, not wanting to leave her down there for much longer. He did what I said and started tying it around a tree trunk.

"She won't be able to hold onto the rope herself, I'm gonna have to go down and get her," I said.

"No you're not," Bellamy fired back.

"No one should be going down there right now, we are running out of time. We have to keep looking for our friends," Finn wasn't on board with our rescue mission.

Bellamy walked up to him, "we have a chance to save a life right now. I'm going to bring her up alive."

"We can come back for her," Finn was visibly stressing out.

"Finn, leave or shut up and help," my words came out harsh. This shouldn't even be a discussion, she was one of us too and we can help. Finn seemed to finally get that we weren't going to ditch this girl and stopped his bickering.

"Hand me the rope," I told Murphy after I saw he completed tying it off. Bellamy snatched it from him before he could give it to me though.

"I told you that you weren't going down there," Bellamy repeated. He began to secure himself to the rope as the rest of us got our hands on the slack.

"We got you," I assured him before he started making his way off the cliff. I grew extremely nervous when I couldn't see Bellamy's figure anymore, I prayed that this would work. After a few minutes, I felt the rope jolt from extra weight being added.

"Bring us up!" Bellamy yelled from below. Murphy, Finn and I started pulling with all our strength, this was the hardest part. Out of nowhere, Bear began to howl. It felt like a warning, it made me turn around to scope the bushes behind us. I couldn't see anything until there were arrows hurdling towards us.

"Grounders!" I heard Murphy yell. This made for the most hectic situation. We all continued to pull the rope, all of us at risk of being impaled. Finally I could see the top of Bellamy's head, they were almost back up. An arrow had whizzed past my ear and sliced part of the rope. It was barely hanging on now.

"Bellamy it's going to snap!" I screamed to him. Murphy lunged forward to grab the unaffected portion of the rope. Finn and I followed him instantly.

Then the fog horn sounded, causing the attackers to retreat. At this point, Bellamy was up far enough to lift him and the girl on to the grass. I ran over to him to help him up.

"We need to find cover for the fog," Murphy alerted us. Bellamy's gaze moved from my face to behind me.

"No we don't," he had a smile growing.

"Bellamy?" It was a voice I haven't heard in far too long. Bellamy ran over as I turned to see if my ears were hearing correctly. Bellamy engulfed his sister into a hug, I was still stunned she was standing in front of us.

When they pulled away, she spotted me. Her face changed from content to shock. We ran to each other and collided into a tight hug.

"You're alive," she breathed out.

I pulled back seeing she also had tears wanting to escape, "you are too."

"Your ear is bleeding," Octavia told me. I reached up to feel it, that arrow was closer to me than I thought.

"The arrow could have had poison on it," Octavia informed.

This must've sent alarms through Bellamy's head, "we need to get you back to camp."

"I'm not stopping until I find Clarke," Finn announced.

"Then we split off," Bellamy said, looking over to Finn.

Finn nodded and began his way back into the forest. Murphy started after him.

"Wait," Bellamy called out to Murphy. He reached down for a gun and tossed it to him. "Watch his back."

Murphy nodded and took off. I understood why he didn't want to come back with us and I'm sure Bellamy did too, he would just be locked up again.
