We were stuck in the Rover the whole night, trapped between two large trees. There was nowhere to go after they collapsed around us during our trek. It was obviously a set up, none of us really knew what to do from here.

"We need to make a run for it," Bellamy said once the sunlight shone.

"No, that's what they're waiting for us to do," Kane remarked.

"The boy's right," Indra started. "They can wait longer than us, we should run."

"Bellamy you cover for us until we make it to the ridge. We'll cover you once we get there," Kane told us.

"Copy that. Kota, stay with me," Bellamy looked to me while grabbing his gun. I nodded, then he opened the roof to stick his body out.

"They're here," Bellamy informed from above the Rover right after. I immediately pointed my gun out the hatch Bellamy was in and saw a knife up to his throat.

"Everybody out or he dies," the man said. I couldn't see his face, he had something covering it and it didn't look like typical grounder gear.

"We're coming out!" I yelled while I dropped my gun and moved to open the door. I didn't care what anyone else thought about what we should do in this situation, I just wasn't going to let anything happen to Bellamy.

"Stay," I commanded to Bear, then lifted the handle to the rover door.

As soon as the door peeked open, I was thrown out of the rover and onto the ground. They did the same with the others in there.

I struggled against the weight on my back, trying to look for Bellamy. All I could hear was his voice reply to Monty as Monty yelled at one of them for taking the beacon.

"Monty it's okay," Bellamy tried to get him to calm down.

"Monty?" A woman's voice I didn't recognize questioned. There was a short moment of silence before Monty spoke again.

"Mom?" He asked, not sure if it was really her. We couldn't see any of these people's faces.

"Stand down," a man's voice commanded. I could feel the knee lift from my back and I stood up quickly. Monty was hugging his mom. It made me miss mine.

When they released Bellamy he ran over to me and scanned my face, "Bear?"

"Come!" I yelled and Bear jumped out of the rover to meet us.

"Pike? I thought we lost you guys," I turned at Kane's voice. I knew Pike, he was another Earth skills teacher just like my mom. They worked closely with each other for lesson plans and whatnot.

"Am I glad to see you," Pike laughed as he helped Kane up from the ground.

I followed Bellamy as he walked over the two of them. Pike's eyes went wide at the sight of me, "little miss Solace."

I was taken by surprise when he wrapped his arms around me, thankfully he quickly pulled back.

"So good to see the best Earth skills student ever. How is Tessa?" He asked. I felt like I wanted to run away, I haven't had to explain to anyone what happened to my mom. Everyone at the Ark already knew. I could feel Bellamy's hand gently touch my back.

He took my lack of an answer as an answer, a solemn expression replacing his excited one.

Kane saved me from saying anything, "how many of you are there?"

"Sixty-three. The rest are safe in a mountain close to here. Grounder killers one in all, am I right?!" Pike exclaimed. There was a collective 'hoo-rah' as a response.
